I love a challenge! SW: 158 GW:150

That is going to depend on many factors. Gender, build, muscle mass, body fat %.

Maybe you actually need to slightly more food (it would help if you post your stats), or at least different foods that don't fall into your "healthy" restrict cycle. Many people here have lost weight while still enjoying things that other people binge on, they just eat less and plan it into their diet.

Aiming for an average house cat loss (although my cat is also a little chubby and needs to lose a dozen doughnuts), but only at a rack of baby back ribs so far. I love this list!

Agreeing with the previous answers, keep it at the 548.

We have a no weight gain during the holiday challenge at work every year. I am also trying to lose a few lbs. It helps to have goals during the holidays to keep me motivated.

Since you have a faced a lot of health challenges why not focus more on getting and feeling healthy and fit again instead of weight? Once you feel strong again then work on any weight that remains.

A few things: Are you eating enough? Are you drinking enough water during the day? Have you talked to your doctor?
-
You are happy with your progress. Your friend is not an authority about you.
-
I did but only with diet and exercise. It is definitely a good idea to talk to your doctor about the headaches. There are a lot of different pill formulations and it might take some trial and error to find the one that works for you.

Find active things that you like to do: gym classes, walking with friends, dancing, etc. Don't be afraid of the cold. Make a plan for food, stick to the plan.

I was on my feet at work all day yesterday, my fitbit only registered 5,000 because while I was on my feet I was also standing still at the lab bench, or taking a step or two to one side or the other, rather than walking. When I got home I was tired and my feet hurt but it wasn't the same as walking all day. Activity…

Chalk it up to life happening and move on.

I was just thinking this morning that my upper abdomen looked extra jiggly, this is the first week this month that I have registered a loss on the scale. Bodies are weird.

I wouldn't have any issue with it if my schedule worked with it. However, as a grad student my hours were a little wonky and I would have felt bad about missing a session.
-
Patience, double check that you are doing what you planned and then have patience.

I love walking around big box stores, or shopping centers, when it is cold out. I will even go to a store and walk at lunch, no excuses for the weather then and I can even get a little shopping done if I need to.

First step is to log it, then decide.
-
Yep, all the time. I don't worry about it since there are so many variables that are different.

Find other things to help you deal with stress. And then accept that once in a while you are going to not do the perfect thing, admit it and get over it. It isn't easy, I fell back on eating for stress relief this summer, and then my pants got tight and I had to admit it and get back on track. Letting go of little…

Glad that you are getting help with this, wishing you much success in the future. Tell the doctor the truth, do no sugar coat it. Internet hugs if it will help.

Yes, our system of measurement makes no sense. 1 cup is 8 fluid oz, it is volumetric measurement like mLs. So measuring anything other than liquids in cups is silly.

The gut microflora is a very important part of our digestion. However, the probiotics on the market now are all very similar and contain mostly Lactic Acid Bacteria, the same bacteria can be found in fermented foods such as yogurt, kimchi, etc. The real hurdle to them making an impact on you health is that your normal…

Depending on your soy sauce or other salt intake during your dinner it is most likely all water retention.
-
Take off 200-300 or so calories off of dinner and add them to lunch or an afternoon snack.
-
Find active things that you enjoy doing! Hiking, kickboxing, dancing, whatever. Find people that like the same things. It is much easier to keep active if you don't see it as a chore.
-
Nothing wrong with a snack and maybe some water before you go on your walk to take the edge off. I like something fibrous like an apple or even something like popcorn as an afternoon snack.
-
I wish that I had the patience to knit an actual Dr. scarf, sadly weaving in all of those ends is too daunting.

It is very hard for kids to tell their parents anything. If they are not motivated you aren't going to be able to get them to do anything. Model good behaviors, maybe find a healthy restaurant and take them out to lunch, or go over to their place to cook a cook meal for them and have them help you. Encourage their good…

I have yet to see convincing data that supplements do more than diet and exercise for fat and weight loss.
