This hurts me. Physical pain in my head. And heart. I am sad face. Please see: "causation vs correlation" http://tinyurl.com/c9xhfcn

Right. When I first got my FT7, I think my max HR was set at 180 (I used the 220-age formula, I'm 41, rounded up to 180). But when I started C25K, I was seeing Max HR recorded during a run go as high as 185. So I knew I my max should be higher. I forget to change it until today and set mine to 195. It's gonna lower my…

That is incorrect. Neither the FT4 or FT7 allow you to set VO2.

How much? Probably about 5 pounds. Don't know for sure. Why? Because Santa is jealous of my progress.

Thanks for this. I like and plan to keep my FT7, but am bumping up my max HR today.

I don't quite understand your graphic. How did the joke hit someone on the side of the head? Perhaps I was distracted by the hilarious use of a hashtag in the previous comment.

Man up and fill the pinata with fake blood. Then hire a clown to arrive just as the blood begins to spill, and make sure he runs in sobbing. Only then offer the kids chocolate. So they'll appreciate it.

Don't forget the script revisions, often happening as the previous version is being handed to us. "Feliz Navidad" (No Socks with Sandals)

Great advice in this thread already. Wanted to point out that there is a MFP Community Group for Couch to 5K: Couch to 5K Running Program (C25K) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/47-couch-to-5k-running-program-c25k- Also, with the heel strike stuff... Lots of information already posted and on the Internet. But one…

I so love that you wrote "none of my business" and not "none of their business." It's a subtle yet crucial difference.

We do have our very own Unofficial MFP FAQ, ya know..... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/409529-pine-cone-bird-feeder

Like 10,000 spoons when you've already paid.

Sorry you have to deal with that. At least your boss knows about the situation and you won't get in trouble for the ex's antics. We can try to guess at the motivation behind the behavior, but it doesn't matter and we won't ever really know. Relationships seem to have a special stranglehold on us. I've seen otherwise…

The cup of fries in that article looks delicious.

Interesting. Someone else sent me that same link. The story you quoted in the original post sounds more condemning. Anyway, to your original question: is 90 days and $3000 a harsh enough punishment? For what? To deter a repeat incident? To generate remorse? Tough answer. The media attention changes the dynamic doesn't it?…

Source link?

I haven't read all of this thread. I won't pretend to be an expert. But I will tell you what I firmly believe to be the keys to all successful relationships. 1. Love 2. Honesty 3. Compromise #1 is optional.

I know your question is likely rhetorical, but I'm gonna answer anyway. I think a low carb diet *feels* better for some people, and may "work" better for them (as in, the food choices and resulting body's reaction to those food choices work better). I don't like restricting much of anything in my diet and prefer to focus…

OP, I can give you two reasons. First, I noticed your smile as soon as I opened this thread. If you are not in sales or customer service of some kind (where you interact with people face-to-face), you should be, because you would be awesome. Second, your username is juicymama.

I can understand freaking out. We've all been there. You just gotta breathe and do the best you can. You are not going to fail your diet/new lifestyle of healthy eating in one day, or even a few days. It just doesn't happen like that. Already some good advice here. Exercise as much as you can to offset an increase in…

Even if you know the WHY, what difference will it make? I'm not trying to be combatitive, only pointing something out. If you knew why you were offered junk food, it wouldn't change whether you want it or not, would it? Besides, worrying about the why means you have to make assumptions about the what. What if the stink eye…

Well, you know with an opening like that, the article had to be based on science and peer-reviewed research.

I strive to adopt this attitude about EVERYTHING. It ultimately makes my life much easier to get along with. For those of you who find yourself often slighted, think about the freedom you could experience if you simply choose not to believe "they" were jealous or out to get you or being mean or making fun or sabotaging or…

You are just jealous.

I am vegan. Except for bacon and the occasional hobo.

You have described the cornerstone of prejudice. If only it were just apples that suffered. I like Fuji the best, by the way.

Sometimes it's like raining on 10,000 spoons. Excellent job on your progress. That's a huge difference physically, and the emotional well-being changes aren't to be ignored either. Thanks for inspiring others.
