  • I'm 5'1" and used to be a standard 135. I crept up to about 170 at my heaviest and now I have come down to 112 and am now gaining more muscle mass! I don't ever remember being this light and strong and it feels REALLY good. Just keep telling yourself you can do this and be patient.
  • At my heaviest, I was probably around 170, but I stopped weighing myself once I was creeping up to 150-160 range. I'm only 5 feet tall. I've come down to 120 now, and just a few months ago I was at 115 (pre wedding.) I'm working to get back to that, and this is how I do it and what works for me. Keeping a physical journal…
  • I'm 5 feet, 120 pounds. Conversion: 152.4 cm tall, 8.6 stone I'm a size 2 or 4 (or even 6 sometimes) depending on the brand. The size 6 would be if I shop somewhere where they haven't really done vanity re-sizing which could be Lee jeans. I'm also a size XS most of the time now, but an XS used to be a Small or Medium…
  • I agree with a few others here. I weigh in the morning before eating and showering, and after using the bathroom. Usually, it's everyday. I know that's not recommended, but I don't dwell on small differences because I know that things we eat can linger, or if I eat too much salt, I have water weight. I like seeing the…
  • How tall are you? And being a man, you probably should be eating more if you are of average height or taller. It's all about what you are using to fuel your body. If you input your goals into MFP, it's already adjusting your caloric intake as a deficit to lose weight. I'm a 5 foot tall woman and the calories you are…
  • To all the naysayers about cardio, I have found that doing 10-15 minutes or cardio everyday is just as good as doing 40 min to 2 hours everyday. This has been a lifesaver for me when I am going to school because I also have a full time job. I have lost nearly just as much weight doing a small amount of cardio everyday (and…
  • Man, congratulations! That is an incredible journey!!!
  • 124 days today! :hushed: and I log food and exercise everyday, even if I go back the next day to enter it.
  • Also peanut butter filled crackesr ;)
  • I'd have to say mine has typically been anything made with wheat. It became an obsession at one point to have anything with wheat - the cereal you speak of, french bread, croissants, you name it... Now, I am reading a book called "The Wheat Belly" and it is amazing. It's making me really want to cut it out completely…
  • Hey everyone! I want to find my "twin" too! I'm petite, and it's hard to lose the last few bits! Height: 5' 0" HW: Approx 150-160 CW: 133 GW: 115
  • I agree with this completely. I even gained weight eating healthier - for a bit - until I started watching my calories. It's especially tough for a short woman to keep track of calories and make sure everything counts. It's so easy to have just a tad too much.
  • I have to say that even though I met my goal yesterday on MFP, I was still hungry. I am at just over 1200 calories (and I try to eat my exercise calories back)... I may be an exception to the rule as far as being little and calories go? I am a vegetarian (nearly vegan due to lactose intolerance) I only really gain weight…
  • Way to go! I workout for 45 min everyday and I think 15 minutes feels like forever! (I use 3 different cardio machines) I am also doing the "Tone It Up" online series from the Tone It Up girls, Karena and Katrina. I suggest the same as someone before me! Do some at home workouts - I got back into the swing of things with…
  • I'm reviving this post to say that I am also vegetarian and get close to over my carb count everyday. I don't eat pasta or any gluten (wheat flour) based foods. I am also cutting out my processed foods and refined sugars. I eat very little rice (maybe once a month??) Today I have only eaten two main means (with snacks like…
  • I am a vegetarian and I can say that weight can pack on fast if you dig into the cheese, gluten and sodas too often. It happened to me. Not to mention how fast they can make a person bloat or gain water weight. It's easy for vegetarians to step into that place when they aren't getting enough of what they need. I am also…
