Eggs, cheese, chicken, onions, and cucumbers.

I eat 2-3 meals a day. I love a big dinner and save most of my calories for that meal. Some people would say "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper" but I never found this method hindered my weight loss. 5-6 small meals would make me constantly hungry, I think.

I post everything I eat here: https://www.instagram.com/butterisnotacarb/

I understand what you're saying. Personally I'd rather do a lettuce wrap burger than two portobellos. I do think it will have a pretty heavy earthy taste since they are raw, but maybe you'll like them when paired with something else. Good luck!

I find it interesting that there is zero response any time someone has suggested making their own smoothies to the OP.

I love basically all mushrooms, but I do not like them raw. I don't think I could eat two of them in place of buns on a burger. What is it about buns that is causing you to look for a swap - the carbs? There are recipes for low carb bread swaps, I can post some if you are interested. I love cauliflower rice, too!

I've had this problem with Diet Coke before - I used to drink [such a large number I am embarrassed to say] cans a day and wanted to stop. Many years ago I quit cold turkey (terrible idea) and actually had withdrawals for 24 hours that looked like a heroin withdrawal. No joke I was throwing up, had a fever, was sweating,…

Actually path7975 is correct. Most keto-ers try to keep their carbs below 20g per day (that may be total grams or net grams, people do it both ways). Some keto-ers can eat more than that and keep it under 50g per day and still stay in ketosis. Typically this equates to 5-10% of total calories consumed. The remainder of…

Ginger ale and Diet Coke. I also like to have Crystal Lite on-the-go powder mixes on hand in case I want some flavored water, but that's not terribly often.

Fat does not make you fat, that's correct. https://authoritynutrition.com/it-aint-the-fat-people/

Following keto, I eat less than 10g of sugar a day. Last time I said that, peoples' heads almost fell off, but it's not impossible. My sugars come from dairy and some vegetables (like peppers, cucumbers, and onions).
-
Congratulations! That's a good problem to have. New clothes or a new kitchen gadget for cooking were always my go-to rewards.

Interesting. Well, I'd still try to mix things up, maybe put IF on hold, cut out dairy, or up the fat to 65 or 70% for a while. Never hurts to try new things, I think. It's all about experimenting to find what works best, and as your body changes, different things might work at different stages.

I browsed through a week or so of your diary. To me, it looks like you are all over the place in terms of fat content. Some days are kind of low, and some days are where I would expect them to be for LCHF. Can you try to be consistent for a week or so and see if that mitigates the problem? Maybe stick to 80-100g per day…

Yeah, I figured, although it still shows up on the gluten-free menu so it's not coated in flour. Maybe just crispy on the outside, like pan-seared or something. Either way looks like you're in for a good meal! OT: I played golf in college.

Tuna, beans, egg whites. All good sources of protein.

I love ahi tuna but I wonder what makes it "crispy" haha. The scallops sound really interesting, too.

Yep! Lost 100lbs eating keto in 2014. Started a keto recipe blog and have a lot of resources if you are interested. Keto is awesome and has helped a lot of people overcome a multitude of health issues on top of weight loss. Feel free to friend or PM me.

It's hard to change habits that have become routine. Using food for comfort, or stress eating, or emotional eating, etc is hard to break. I try to remember to be in the present when I'm feeling stressed or if I'm just bored and wandering into the kitchen. Asking myself "Do you really want that?" or "Are you sure you're…

I like to make cauli fried rice, something like this: http://pinchofyum.com/15-minute-cauliflower-fried-rice You could add shrimp or chicken or beef for more protein. It will never taste like rice-rice, but adding veggies and a little soy sauce and spices makes it really delicious!

Three eggs scrambled with spinach and mozzarella cheese.

No, I'm not cured, because there is no cure. I read the rest of this thread before replying, and I truly wish you would re-consider providing false information in the future to those who are genuinely looking to improve their health and their lives. http://www.pcosaa.org/is-there-a-cure-for-pcos/

Thank you all! I appreciate the positivity!!

I have severe PCOS and lost 100lbs in 2014 living a ketogenic (low carb, high fat, moderate protein) lifestyle. Your calories come from the fats you are supposed to eat when you decide to go low carb. Eating low carb and low fat is not the right way to do it. Please PM if you'd like, I can give you numerous wonderful…

So sad because apples, grapes and pineapple were my favorite fruit. I really really missed apples in the fall and it was one of the only things I craved time-to-time. Oh well, not worth it.
