Look at it this way, you were important enough to him to commit to ending the frivolous spending and paying that off!

This. Just enjoy your little piece of the world and ignore the rest of it. Don't let asshats like this get into your head. 40 pounds is UH-MAZE-ING. Keep on keepin' on and soon enough they'll be rolling down the window to yell "MILF!" (Happened to me while walking my son to school. Swoon! LOL)

I think I went to high school with one of them. He was in the crowd that "I just so happened to have forgotten something on the other side of campus" when walking nearby.

This view is just too extreme IMHO. Those who are overwight still have jobs and need to look professional. Airlines want to charge extra? Fine, let 'em. It's an incentive to lose weight. I've never heard the exercise equipment one, to be fair. But I walk outdoors as much as possible. To the original question, define…

Is this an all-at-once thing, or do we spread them over multiple sessions? Getting up over 80 is where I'd want to break it up......

DITTO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haaaaaaaaa!!!

This!! I upped my calories from 1200 to 1500 and now shoot for 55% carbs at every meal, lo & behold my weight loss kick started again.

Congratulations! All in just 2 years, wow! The picture with your beautimous kiddo made me sit up and take notice because kids change SO fast and he's an obvious sign of how much awesomeness you exuded in that short time.

Definitely this!!! "The right man will love about you all the things thre wrong man was intimidated by." Take it from experience, you don't even realize all the concessions YOU'RE making for HIM, and he doesn't give a damn. Dropkick this loser.

I would definitely appreciate some challenges and motivation!

Yes, total fad and thoroughly unhealthy if maintained for more than the 7 days prescribed. That being said.....I've tried it and it works! I wasn't hungry, though my cravings were through the roof. It is not easy, and I can't overstress DO NOT go past 7 days and use maybe 4 times a year.

5'11.5"......and I desperately want that half inch back!!! It used to be there, before kids and arthritis set in. :-( Add me!

I chose to ignore MFP's recommended calorie intake and set my own goal of 1200 per day. On days I exercise heavily (more than just a 30 minute jaunt on the ol' treadmill), I up that to 1500. It feels like I'm eating too much on those days, but the weight still comes off. Set your percentages for the food groups to your…

I had gum & bone grafts a couple years back, so no solid food when you have all that going on! LOL I drank Ensure shakes exclusively for 3 weeks. Yep, 21 days. It's not the ideal food, but it's overall fairly well balanced.

Aewesome, Hannah!! Thanks for the custom goals location! I've been looking for that, and I like the higher protein/lower carb too.
-
Interesting! Personal trainers, dieticians, and it takes MFP to gleen that piece of news! LOL

So that's why it's okay to "eat" our exercise calories back? I've been avoiding doing that and get so frustrated when the more I work out, the slower my weight loss/inches loss seems to go. Lesson learned, serve up that extra half portion of lean roast!

I totally feel ya on this one. Whenever i go home, it's buffet restaurants and backyard bbq's. So, I take one serving of whatever meat was prepared and load my plate with salad and veggies. I mean load. Pile it on. Stacks of it, I tell you! The roughage in the leafy vegetables will fill you up with practically no calories…

That's awesome! I did the "emotional eatihng" last night because it was another appointment with the kids where I was forced to accept some stuff I don't like. So, I eat sugary/floury things to ease the ache. Which leads to a guilty conscience and the occasional bout of tummy troubles. Next time...........sit back,…

We're totally the same height!!! I graduated high school at 180, thi nking I was fat. LOL But I could've weighed 120 and thought that, too. Sigh.....the inner workings of a teenage girl brain. My "ideal" weight range goes from 135-185, so I'm shooting for 170. Just thinking back to what I looked like 11 years ago (and…

I usually have decent luck with Old Navy "Flirt" style jeans. Still a bit big right at the back, but great through belly, bum, hips, and thighs.
