- Getting smaller clothes, ESPECIALLY a smaller bra. I really can't stand my breasts. - Running in "Run or Dye Detroit" next year (5K). - Cuter clothes! - Shredding the Lane Bryant and Catherine's credit card. - Not feel self conscious in a swimsuit, shorts, or a tank top. - Go hiking.

I did Atkins about 2 years ago with my fiance. He LOVED it (steak? bacon? pork rhinds? HECK YES) and the pounds just poured off of him, but I was miserable (I still lost weight, almost 8 lbs the first week alone). I had headaches and struggled really hard to eat my 17-19 net carbs a day because I was always so FULL. Plus I…

I lived in CT up until last year! In Danbury. :) Welcome! And I know you can do it!

I'm from Michigan so I see a lot of Canadians around these parts. Welcome from your neighbor!

Yesterday I had enough calories left over for 2 jalapeno poppers with no dip. Jalapeno poppers are my favorite food, ever since I was a little girl. I was watching Once Upon a Time on Netflix and fiance was nibbling on the box of poppers he made, and I ate 2 more than I should - so 4 total. :( 150 calories over. I should…

A lot of people say you should be eating back atleast half your burned calories from exercise, so I try to do that. Some days I just want to eat so I eat back them all.

We have similar measurements! I'm 23 years old (24 in August), 5'2" and 268 lbs. :) We can do this!

Don't go for a walk/jog/run when it's raining and your streets are prone to flooding. I went out for a walk today despite the thunderstorm. I was about to cross the street and turned around because I thought I heard a car, then fell face first into a lake of water that accumulated on the street. Tried to get up and fell…

Try getting in more protein and/or fiber (protein preferred, especially if you're low.) If you don't want to eat chicken all day, try my very favorite protein "shake" recipe. Trust me on this - it tastes like a regular shake!!! - 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (you can find this at almost any drug store and…

Yeah, the first post I accidentally forgot to change male to female. But I edited that post with the new totals, which is still high to the point where I don't know if I could eat that much. I would feel like a balloon all day.

Ok I think I figured out that calculator... According to the website, my Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is 2000. My Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE) is 2750. That's nuts. It says I should be eating 733 calories a meal if I eat 3 meals a day - 2199 calories! I can't imagine eating that much, holy cow!!! :noway:…

Before I eat a meal, I always drink 1 glass of water. I also have high fiber snack bars and protein shakes. Some protein shakes are store bought, but I invested $20 and purchased vanilla whey protein powder at CVS. I mix 1 scoop of the powder, 1 cup skim milk and 1 tsp of cinnamon in a blender to make myself a Cinnabon…

I find that if I eat something TOO sugary (for example, Skinny Cow caramel chocolate doesn't trigger it, but a chocolate chip cookie will), I will get hungry really fast, despite the fact that I just consumed a bunch of fiber and protein not even 10 minutes before. I think that the cookies might be causing your hunger.

Well, I work in a museum 3 days a week (temporary, soon to be unemployed as of June - but that's another worry >.>). When I work there, if I'm in the "back" I basically spend 6 hours 100% sitting. If I'm in the front, I sit about 80% of the time and stand/walk around 20% of the time - and then it's only a short walk around…

I'm 5'2" and my calorie intake is at about ~1430. I exercise 30 minutes a day, 6 times a week but other than that I'm a couch potato.:flowerforyou:

I don't call them "cheat" days, I call them "slingshot" days. Because sometimes you do need to indulge a little bit to kick your diet back on track.

This topic is gold. Thank you for this.
