  • Add me too!! I'm 23 with 15 lbs down (5 on MFP) and hopefully 25-30 more to go!!
  • I like the GU gels - I used 2 during my half marathon and they helped so much! I felt like I had more energy a minute or 2 after eating them.

  • Everyone's busy! If you want something badly enough you will make it happen. You could always find a reason not to exercise but one of my favorite quotes for this is "Somewhere, someone busier than you is working out right now!" Just tell yourself that when you don't feel like working out.
  • I think so far your diary looks great! You have fruits and veggies which is good. I think junk food is fine in moderation as long as you balance it out with healthy foods and you stay within your goals you will be fine. The only thing I would recommend is to drink more water. I notice that it really makes a difference - I…

  • I usually subtract the amount I would have burned not working out
  • I cannot recommend C25K enough..I started it last January and could barely make it through the 60 second running intervals, and I just ran my first half marathon last weekend. Trust me, it's hard work in the beginning but if you stick with it you will see great results!! Good luck!! You have plenty of time to train! :)
  • Vicky, I think it's just you and me left hahah .. but I'll keep logging up until memorial day! I ran a half marathon on Saturday and with my injury I'm taking this week off but I'll probably start up running again on Monday.

  • I would agree with intervals/C25K program and doing some treadmill workouts with an incline. It doesn't seem that much different but it is actually a lot harder to run outside. I definitely felt a difference when I started outside but now I like it so much better ! It just takes some getting used to so start out slow with…

  • If you feel like it was really hard for you, you should keep repeating that week until you feel that you are ready to move on. You don't want to injure yourself. But keep in mind that even people who run a lot have bad running days so if it was just today then use your judgement. But I can tell you that I started running…
  • I would say lightly active. But don't record your work as exercise, only record the gym as exercise.
  • Took a BBX class last night instead of my run and today is a rest day! Plan on putting in 4 miles tomorrow. Maura's total miles since start (3/11/12): 36 miles
