  • I have sooo many more but these were in one of my files. My biggest ones are EatingWell.com and CookingLight.com http://www.babble.com/best-recipes/http://www.kitchenstewardship.com/ http://www.justgetoffyourbuttandbake.com/ http://www.roxanagreengirl.com/ http://www.familyfreshcooking.com/…
  • I've been 1 or many of those at once throughout my life. Wow.
  • Did she recommend putting you on anything like Provera? I was on it all last summer...
  • Totally a night ow here. Would've never DREAMED of working out like I do in the mornings but with time and slow training I would not want it ANY OTHER WAY! :D Start slow. When I first started I almost fainted taking a shower after the workouts (before work) in the shower. So be sure to fuel food and hydration-wise. You'll…
  • Zyrtek every single day, Allergy Drops every single day and I don't have issues anymore :) You should see an allergist, mine saved my life. Ok not really, but kinda... not only did I have off the charts inhalant allergies, but food allergies as well (all fruits, raw veggies, etc). I can now actually eat a raw apple - quite…
  • If I am on the bike it's a guarantee that my shirt will be absolutely soaked by the end. Sweat literally drips off my chin and on my arms - and today I felt like I could *feel* the new drops come out of my pores. Or maybe I was just that in-tune with my body today.... o.O Not to be gross (ok well maybe it is anyway) - but…
  • I always appreciate a note and am pretty relaxed to accepting ones without messages. Like another poster above, I'll try to figure out why they requested me. I also accept very few guy friend requests, regardless of a message or not. Oh I also start deleting people if they haven't logged in for a month or so.
  • I workout in the morning and shower at the gym - they provide hair dryers, shower towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I wear workout clothes to the gym... Clothes that I'll wear to work that day (including shoes, accessories) Makeup Toiletries like comb, straightener, bar soap, razor, etc Miscellaneous rubber…
  • wow you all seem to go hiking and backpacking late in the year...here in Colorado hubbie and I are typically done mid-end September. So yeah, Colorado - love to hike anywhere, especially the 14ers :D.

  • Hey Kevin. They aren't "cheat" calories as MFP already works in a deficit in calorie if you set your goals to lose weight. Totally understand about hitting that amount, but depending on when you are working out, you can plan your day accordingly. I work out in the mornings now so it's easier to plan getting all my calories…
  • I don't know ONE person who doesn't have their insecurities - with that said, you should be so proud of yourself! Don't let those negative thoughts take over your PURPOSE for being at the gym in the first place. Have you made eye contact or flashed a quick nod/smile? I think if you do, you won't be so intimidated by her…
  • Why not just switch it up (which you should anyway!)? I love running but I also lovelove the bike. But I also know if I just do those two for cardio, it will be easier for my body to adapt so I throw in the elliptical and stairs as well. I sooo echo how amazing running feels.... :D
  • Spaghetti Squash Casserole (LOVELOVELOVE) Ingredients * 1 spaghetti squash, halved lengthwise and seeds removed * 1 tablespoon vegetable oil * 1 small onion, chopped * 2 cloves garlic, chopped * 1 teaspoon dried basil * 2 plum tomatoes, chopped * 1 cup (8 ounces) 1% cottage cheese * 1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded low-fat…
  • Definitely the shoulders and arms. Thighs if the person is wearing shorts.
  • take it a step further - don't bake for someone, send them the recipes and all the ingredients.. and make it healthy!! :D
  • OH and since you mention budget, buy frozen veggies. They will be better than canned, almost good as fresh but cheaper and lasts longer (so you don't waste anything that spoils before you get to use it). I'm going to just add some more veggies that I thought of, that I like adding to my mixtures/salads: - cooked sweet…
  • Salad by definition is simply a cold mixture of veggies, fruit or a combo of both with (or even without!) a dressing. Saying you don't like salad in general is silly because it is so broad ;D :P There are soooooooooooo many combinations possible, you really just need to experiment. And as a note, typically I find I ruin my…
  • I love it and buy it 4 bags at a time from the website... :D
  • I second rice wine.
  • Yes, please send the recipe(s)! Great ideas :D
  • 1. Yes, but I it might have been easier because I was away at college at the time so it was easier to remove myself from her life. This is an immediate family member. 2. Yes. Because while I didn't agree with her decisions, that is when she needed me (and the rest of us) the most. SIde Note: all is a thousand percent fine…
  • OMG!!! I MADE THESE TONIGHT - NO JOKE!!! Sooo funny... I had one and they were alright :) Subbed the Canola Oil for Extra Virgin Olive Oil though. I am wondering what to do with the rest of the pumpkin puree as the recipe didn't call for the entire can.
  • YES. I've been there and I don't ever want to go back. OH and have a frickin' cookie! It won't kill ya or automatically put on another pound. Everything in moderation.
  • Can you expand on this? I joined an additional gym and even though there are the same weight machines at both places, I can lift heavier at one as opposed to the other (consistently). I would think that the new-ness of the machines shouldn't matter because after all, a pound of weight is a pound of weight. FWIW, I can lift…
  • I echo both points!! Drives me nuts - because stores are different (Gap vs Express vs Macys for instance) I can NEVER feel confident purchasing jeans online. Would love it if yes, sizing for women ran like Men's.
  • Ummm, I'm just going to respond to your subject line (TOPIC: Cycling vs Jogging? Looks like I may never run a Marathon...) Never say never! 1. I have exercise-induced asthma as well and finally got treated for it in March. I take a couple puffs of Advair (sp?) every night before bed and I almost never have to use Ventolin…
  • hard core goals! ever climbed in Colorado?
  • Stick to liquor :) Here are a couple searchs on the forum as this topic has been discussed many times before: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/296852-low-calorie-alcoholic-beverages?hl=low+calorie+alcohol#posts-3926993…
