Also pick up either of the following - excellent for beginners to free weights. I'm not an advocate for machine-only training... - New Rules of Lifting for Women - StrongLifts 5x5

Usually gyms will offer a 1-3 session package to show you the equipment (the motive is to get you to sign up for more sessions). You do not have to sign up of course but this is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of so someone can show you the machines if you want to do them. Plus they usually have stickers on the…

Lose body fat? Shoes to lift very heavy weights. New Balance Zeros for deadlifts, Rogue Do-Wins for squats.

You need to eat more than 1200 calories, especially with all that cardio and lifting you are doing. Can't give you an exact number since your height/weight isn't given but look up IPOARM : http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 Every one and each body is different depending…

Sweet potatoes are good cubed in salads, soups, chili, stuffing, mash, soup. Often I just cut them up into strips and roast them. I love cutting them into matchstick-size pieces with diced onion to make a hash on the stove. Cook until almost done and make a few holes for each egg. Once the eggs are cooked to overeasy,…

Nada. I'm up at 5am and on the gym floor at 5:45am. However even if I work out later in the day, I still like a fasted workout (lifting OR cardio).

What are the supplements? You can definitely see the muscle definition difference between the comps, nice.

Hot! Great work... everyone, you all look fantastic!!

You should have a general area where people stretch? That area would be appropriate to bust out pushups if you aren't comfortable doing them next to benches in the weight room. Wherever you go, just be sure you aren't in a high-traffic walking area.

Noted, next time I come across the show I won't switch to another channel!! Have you ever watched Pioneer Woman? I feel like it's the same tone (likely not the same type of food though).

• I basically bought a year's supply of peanut butter (PB2), so that's got to be #1 on my list apparently.... • Fage 0% plain • Unsweetened vanilla Almond Milk

Height/Weight: 5'8.5" 130# Eat: While I don't track currently, I did for a couple years and was obsessed with it. Because of this I have a great understanding of my intake because I am hyper-aware of cals, protein, carbs and fat numbers on a daily basis. I estimate that I am intaking anywhere from 1900-2100 cals/day. Burn:…

^^ I find Ina a little dry but perhaps I haven't given her a fair chance?? The only channels on in our house tend to be Food Network or Cooking Channel, so I have no favorite particular chef HOWEVER Chopped is the staple show. It's impossible to watch 30 seconds of it without being like, 'awww shiiiiiiiiiit, have to see…

Tread Running - Mr. Brightside by The Killers Lifting I have no favorite in particular, there are over 275 songs on my playlist in Spotify that I listen to. Mostly rap and hip hop. I'm starting to think about listening to audio books instead to mix it up.... sometimes I grow bored of the music because I listen to it so…

Black tea as I practice intermittent fasting during the week (16/8)... but yesterday I made some yummy French toast and bacon for breakfast.

You are overthinking. I hope that whenever I see someone new at the gym (I'm a regular 5x week) I do notice. But I hope the best for them, that they will be able to stick with it! I am the type to smile or nod if eye contact is made, but everyone is different... This is for you, YOUR SCHEDULE SHOULD CONCERN NOBODY ELSE. If…

You look amazing!!! Keep up the good work!! I am a very small-framed 5'8.5", weighed in this morning at 130# (pics in profile pictures).

^^^This! Are you doing cardio or just lifting? I didn't quite understand when you said you exercise and do a 4-day split.

Everything that has been said and sounds like you have a clear path now. I was totally, 1000% skinny fat. Abs are created from your diet, proper rest, and compound/heavy lifting. To see abs, a person must be lean enough. You asked for pics so thought I'd share so you can see progress with lifting and proper nutrition.…

Because you mentioned that you travel a lot, here are resources that you can do if you have a little bit of room in your house or hotel room: "bodyweight exercises" http://greatist.com/fitness/50-bodyweight-exercises-you-can-do-anywhere-030612/ http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2012/08/23/batman-bodyweight-workout/…

Weights - pick them up and put 'em down! Rent or purchase "New Rules of Lifting for Women" or "Starting Strength" or "Stronglifts 5x5". If you go to a gym, take advantage of the free training sessions (most will offer 2-3 because they want you to buy a package)... and if you can swing it, buy a package so that the trainer…

There are some weeks when I simply cannot get to the gym when I want to and I feel SO frustrated. However. I don't let myself feel guilty because I just eat as good as I can and I try to stay as active as possible around the house/office. Plus, I train 5x/week normally so when those weeks arrive I could typically use the…

Lift 3x week, typically MWF. Depending on how I feel I really like to do cardio 2x week, typcially T, TH, or Saturday. If I want to take it easy with cardio I'll go to spin class but if I'm feeling up for it I'll run or do sprint intervals. Overall cardio is secondary to my lifting routine.

LOVE THIS post so much. I hate the mirrors in my house.

How did it turn out?

Concentrating on protein: Chicken - cook a bunch on Sunday, portion out and mix with salads or on a sandwich. Enjoy shrimp? Buy the frozen cocktail pre-cooked shrimp. Take out whatever you want to eat the night before and throw in a plastic bag. By the time lunch rolls around you can take the tails off and throw it in a…

You should definitely be proud! However, I am a believer in taking a forced week off (give or take) every once in a while. I tend to be a little more down on myself during that time but it's worth it 100% once I get back into the gym, well-rested and ready to kick *kitten*. Embrace the lack of motivation and take this time…
