Google Crossfit Injuries and Crossfit Rhabdo. In some Crossfit gyms, they have beginners doing Olympic Lifts. These take years of practice and highly specialized skill to do safely. Yet some bro science *kitten* is screaming for some soccer mom to do more, faster, and with more weight the first time in the gym. Don't…

Oh, yes, Crossfit. Because Rhabdo, blowing out your colon, severing your spine, or breaking your neck aren't as bad as a groin strain! LOL, Crossfit is dangerous because their "certified instructors" can get certified in one weekend. Many of them have a hyper-macho attitude and don't know what they're doing. DON'T DO…

Oh noez, this topic again. There is only one way to lose weight: Consume less calories than you burn. If you are at a calorie deficit, you lose weight. If you are at a surplus, you gain. It doesn't matter if you eat chicken or cheesecake, a calorie is a calorie. Now, for your overall health, yes, eat clean. And eating…

I back you up, OP! Don't let these haters get to you, there are lots of crazy people on the internet.

3720 during a marathon. Do I win?
-
Awesome, thanks for the Amazon idea! I'm gonna buy it in bulk!
-
I got it at Wal Mart right next to the regular peanut butter. It can also be found at Kroger in the diet food aisle.

For those who don't know, Bodypump is a weight training class offered at many gyms. So this person is doing resistance training.
-
No, that's not even close to being too much. And good for you doing Pump 3 times a week! Fellow Pumper here!

The ONLY thing that makes you gain weight is exceeding your daily calorie needs. It does not matter if those calories come from 75 heads of lettuce or 15 protein shakes. What makes you lose weight is consuming less calories than you burn. So have a protein shake if you like.

I have lost a ton of weight on wellbutrin 300 XL Oh, LOL, I just realized I already commented on this post months ago.

This is why I love being a gym rat and marathoner. I can eat anything I want and no trans fats are going to clog up anything, I burn every single bit of it off before it can do any damage. And sugar won't ever make me diabetic, I need those 11 packets of sugar in my coffee to fuel my workout. 21-mile runs and such lead to…

Buy and read the book "The Beck Diet Solution," author Judith Beck. Helps you deal with the psychological issues behind all of this.

Absolutely not! Chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce

MFP calculates way too high. I weigh 168 now and a 20-mile run only equals 2400 calories for me in reality, but MFP puts it well above 3000.

Part of what has been my success, and something you could strive for, is changing the way I think about exercise. I used to hate exercise and tried to avoid doing it. Anything I did was "just for fun." But now, I am in amazing shape because I enjoy the pain and hard work of exercise. I truly love running marathons and…

You're going through withdrawals from junk food, much like a drug addict in detox. You just have to cope with it. Try not to focus on it so much. And don't think that you're deprived. Feeling deprived can make you rebel and reach for the junk food again. Also, eat slowly.

This! And, don't ever skip on logging your calories. Just do it.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Einstein: http://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20030317/high-protein-diets-can-hurt-kidneys Many people who do Atkins end up consuming way too much protein. High protein diets can cause many kidney problems. And, I personally know someone who developed diverticulitis due to being on Atkins for several…

Atkins can cause kidney failure and diverticulitis. Just follow the if it fits your macros (IIFYM), aka calorie counting, approach that myfitnesspal is based on.
-
Feel free to add me. Also, one thing I think you might benefit from is reading the book "The Beck Diet Solution." It helps people address the psychological issues behind weight loss.

I am subscribed to you on youtube, I like your videos. What made you decide to start a youtube channel?

I like my legs, I hate my stomach. My last few pounds are there, but I'm determined to get it done!! Then for stretch mark cream......

Any and all cheat days are bad cheat days. They are stupid and counterproductive and they make people feel worse. Why set yourself back?

It is best to weigh only once weekly, on the same day, same time of day, on the same scale, in the same clothing and shoes. That will give you a better picture of how you are doing, especially once you hit the point that your weight loss gets slower. None of the weight you have lost yet is fat, it's all water, and soon,…

Great post, OP!

I see that a lot of people don't like my post! But it's correct. There have been many documented cases of people who did Atkins for several years going into kidney failure. And I personally know a guy who got diverticulitis from Atkins. He went septic and everything, was hospitalized for a week, it was really nasty. I'm…

When I graduated from college, I was really fit. Then I went to grad school and got huge. I tried to delude myself into thinking I was still hot. So I left all of my old pics up on myspace. I met this guy on myspace who started flirting with me. We eventually met up for a date and when he got there, he said "You need to…

There are some that do work very well, but only if you are under your calorie goal! Core Burn from Core Nutritionals is awesome.

It really is! Birds of a feather flock together, and if all that your friends ever want to do is go get chili cheese fries and beer, it will be pretty hard to stay fit if that's what you do with them. And then you have groups like NAAFA that want to make everyone fat. I'm glad I got far away from that lifestyle!
