Currently I am about to start experimenting with UCAN powder. Getting ready for a multiday bikepacking event and need some energy that doesn't throw me off my low carb diet that I use to help control my blood sugars.

There are 11 miles of single track trail off the Long Leaf Trace at Jackson Station, about 1/4 mile west of the parking lot. There are also about 3 miles of trail in Petal as of now.
-
The trail is open to all users, about 3 miles with little elevation change but nice hardwood bottoms, very shaded and quiet considering it's location.

For a road bike I would recommend the Online Swap Meet page on Facebook. Mountain bikes on the MTB Swap Meet on Facebook.

I don't know if it's "correct" but when going down steep inclines I tend to shift my weight back, on a few occasions my tire has gotten in the the way.

I scored some Park Tools and a Craftsman tool set which I plan to use to maintain my bike among other things.

Southeastern US, hot and muggy most of the time. We are usually limited by mud (on our MTB trails) not temps.

That's one advantage to living down south...it's perfect riding weather now.

Pricepoint is where I buy most of my gear

I use a light I found on amazon for about $35, it's bright enough to mountain bike at night and has a rechargable battery pack.

I have singled up my old Fuel 90 dual suspension mtb, it's a fun ride. Comfortable and I've not had any trouble with the chain tensioner and 3" travel rear suspension.

I too ride in humid (south Mississippi) conditions and for sweat I wear a Sweat GUTR, it redirects the sweat rolling down my forehead to the sides and keeps it out of my eyes.

I XC mtb down here in south Mississippi. We have some decent trails, but no mountains. I've ridden Tsali but want to check out more trails in that area.

A buddy of mine rides a carbon superfly that he singled up, he likes it.

When mine flares up I resort to the Strausberg (sp?) sock when I sleep. It keeps the foot bent while you sleep so your tendon heals extended, so when you wake up you don't injure it again with your first step.

If you're down from the 7th - 14th there's CruisntheCoast which is a huge car show. Mobile also has Bayfest which is a huge music based block party, all genre's are pretty much covered.
