  • The previous times I lost weight I did so by myself, this time we are doing it together and it is much easier as we work out together and eat the same things, plus we can bounce of each other if we are frustrated or struggling. Weight loss is such a life changing journey I think you have to walk that road together as at…
  • If you only missed a week I'd count it as week 3, if you miss another week then I'd restart. You won't lose all your hard work in a week.
  • What's your goal? A decent sized weight loss will need regular toning to make the most of the new skinny you. Do you want to be really really fit or just not out of breath for a quick jog? You need to decide on what you want then work out how much and what type of exercise you need to fit your goal. I can get as good or…
  • I track my burn with a HRM and eat them all back as I've set my calorie deficit quite low (2 lbs a week) so I don't want to go under that already low level. If I was at or close to maintenance level then I might not bother some days. It can be quite challenging to eat another 1200/1500 healthy calories in a day so…

  • Morris, biggest softie going:
  • The night the twins were born, the relief that they'd finally come out healthy and that my wife was ok was immense, I'd gone the last three days being told that all three had only a 50/50 chance of making it.
  • I'm having some cash to spend @ an Expo plus some little bits and pieces. We are also going out to the Severn Valley Railway for a meal on a Steam Train, which will be a lot of fun I hope. I'd rather have a great day out than expensive presents.
  • Kettleworx looks interesting and Kettlebells themselves are a lot of fun but at 20 minutes 3 times a week I wouldn't say its enough by itself for a full programme. P90x & Insanity are about an hour a day, but are very different programmes. P90x is easier if you aren't the fittest and is as mostly about strength…
  • Currently its 73/74, it was 84 when I started losing weight. I am hoping it'll go under 70 as I get closer to my goal. My wife's is 53.

  • Body fast percentage is key, get it to less than ten percent and they will start to show if you've been working hard enough. a ripped set of abs is my long term goal.
  • Looking at what I like best about my wife its: Intelligent - must be able to hold a conversation about something deeper than X Factor or Corrie. Drive - must want to succeed and willing to put in 110% into things Sense of humour - must be broadly similar to my own, I like things like Curb, Always Sunny, Arrested…
  • Anything android, an iphone you can customise and cheaper apps. Getting my samsung galaxy s 2 tomorrow, can't wait.
  • its not just about size as lighter weight means less work unless you add in more reps, less work, less calories burnt.
  • What I do is aim for a max of 8 reps for each move, if I can do more I mark it down and next time increase the weight. The last two of any move should be very hard to do and the last one you should be really struggling to maintain form. In practice I increase the weight each week for all moves as I'm getting good gains in…
  • This, but I don't have the hassle of a retainer.
  • If you rely on money to attract women you'll only ever end up with the wrong sort of woman and half your money gone. It's the same with women who only go after attractive jerks and then wonder why the jerk messes them around. Based on my relationship women want a man who can fix anything from a car to a toilet to a broken…
  • I'm with MistyMtnMan, you need at least a 35lb pair of dumbells. I'm currently using 40lb pair for all bicep, rows, squats (30lbs for everything else) and step up the weight each week. With all the press ups and pull ups you get real strong real quick!
  • Chucked out a lot of my biggest clothes last week, 4 pairs of 40" trousers, half a dozen shirts and t shirts all XL or bigger. I also have my two big suits, 48" chest and 40" waist, that need to go as well. I now have about 25 formal shirts that I can fit into, but for some reason the 10 or so casual shirts I have don't…

  • My favourite is weight training, nothing like getting pumped up. :) Biggest impact is pylo based training from Insanity or P90x, all that jumping is hard on my knees. :s
  • Blueberries, or strawberries or a big handful of seeds are my faves.
  • Mine is public, easier for people to answer questions I raise if they can see what I eat and exercise.
  • similar, although I was down to two pairs that were really too tight, and one that was getting that way. :(
  • I always tell the truth if they ask, nobody ever believes my starting weight, they think its too high!
  • I learnt the cello when I was a kid for years but gave up as I wasn't very good compared to my peers. Now I play the guitar, badly and sing worse. My kids as pretty talented, my daughter plays the flute and the guitar, my don the guitar and the trombone. Both are in a couple of choirs as well.
  • We weren't going out much at all as we lost our regular baby sitter (they got too old to want to do it as they wanted to be out partying themselves) so we made a conscious decision to find a new one recently. Now we are going out once a month, still not enough but better than nothing that we had before.
  • Used to be a massive gamer but only get the time to play the bigger games last few years. I mostly play the big 3rd person games such as GoW, DA, ME, Oblivion and music games such as Rock Band (we have over 450 songs) and DJ Hero. Really want Noir but will wait till its available cheap second hand as I have no time to play…
  • I use boxing boots, adidas ones, very flat and thin sole but lots of support for my ankles.
