  • The GP referred me to the Physio Direct service in our area and they have been pretty helpful. They did an assessment over the phone, gave me exercises to do and then posted those to me. I have a physical appointment in a couple of weeks. I wish I had contacted the GP months ago but, like you, I thought they would be worse…
  • I have achilles tendinopathy (the new name for tendonitis) and it is driving me mad. I walk for a living and usually like to do high impact exercise such as Insanity. I have been given heel drop exercises to do (180 per day!) and an orthotic to correct my over pronation and am not allowed to exercise except for cycling. I…
  • I am 5'11" and 155lbs and very active. When my fitbit syncs with MFP at the end of most days it says I can eat 3000 calories. I can't believe I actually eat that much and I don't record my eating but my weight stays steady so I must eat the same as I burn off!
  • Is there a group set up for Insanity Max 30?
  • Cool. How's it going?
  • Liking Gamma so far. I still have a heel problem which is a shame but it doesn't limit me too much. Lots of weights stuff in gamma which I am doing with my new 10lb weights.
  • It seems to have died a death. Shame. Oh well we have stuck it through to the end. What are you going to do next?
  • I got Turbofire for Christmas too. I am going to finish T25 first. I still have gamma to go (4 weeks). So if you don't get round to starting it until February then we could go through it together. I don't want to lose any weight either but I want to maintain and cardio is one part of that. I imagine there is some body…
  • I have been held back a bit with an ankle ligament injury but I have managed to catch up and I'm in the same place as you, Katharine - week 3 of Beta. I am also going to do Gamma next and then onto Turbofire! I haven't really lost any weight or inches although, to be honest, there is not that much to lose. I have…
  • I now walk in North Face Hedgehogs GTX IV. In terms of other exercise I walk roughly 2 - 3 hours a day and in the Spring, Summer and Autumn I cycle for an hour to my walks. I don't cycle that much at this time of year but will do a couple of rides some weekends (weather dependant). I was adding a Jillian Michaels DVD to my…
  • Thanks - the heel drop stretches I am doing are the eccentric ones you refer to - so I am doing that and some other calf stretches. Hopefully they will help. Did you exercise much over that year?
  • IMO you are talking about two different things - build and fat (weight). It also shows that weight is not necessarily a good indicator whether you are a healthy size for your build. PS. There are some serious generalisations going on ;-) I would have said Londoners were much slimmer than most Americans!
  • I am with you on that one! That is the only move I can't do at all.
  • Wow, brilliant - that is excellent!
  • I don't really like the look of it. I loved Insanity and I am enjoying T25 but I am not keen on doing things until exhaustion because I think your form goes and it gets dangerous and/or it gets boring. Happy to hear about your feedback on it though and see if I am wrong. I am considering Turbofire or P90x3 next.
  • Thanks. That loss was over 4 weeks though, not one week - some of you are having such amazing results!
  • Wow. 18.25 inches that is amazing! I have lost 2lbs and have reached goal so I am really pleased about that.
  • I don't have any problem with that one but my press ups are terrible and they don't seem to get any better. I guess we all have a stronger and weaker area!
  • Absolutely. I agree. If you work to the best of your ability you are going to improve and gradually see changes. Exercise is for life - there's no rush to be the best. If you concentrate on doing it well rather than fast you won't get injured. And as Adam said, focus on the small improvements and what you actually can do.…
  • I am either 5' 11 or 6' depending on whether I am being honest with myself or not! I live in the UK and I am currently doing T25. I am happy to friend any of you tall girls and support you in your journey if you want to send me a friend request. I am not really looking to lose weight but continue with good eating and lots…
  • Interesting - thanks.
  • My (usually) tightest trousers are loose!
  • How are you measuring body fat tiffanydawnn? I would love to know what mine is.
  • Challenges: Press ups - I just struggle with them and they just don't seem to get any easier - Haven't lost any weight or inches Positives Haven't gained any weight or inches! Staying fit Keeping up most of the time now
  • I definitely prefer skinny4me2be's response to aphello's! ;-) I did a round of Insanity just before starting T25 and it definitely built up my fitness. That isn't to say that I find any of it easy. I definitely still struggle with holding the lunges for the whole time etc. You'll definitely get there. Feel free to friend…
  • Hate to be a smug cow but I double up most days as 25 minutes just does not seem long enough - I just can't get my head around such a short workout!
  • Sorry it won't allow me to update as I use Opera as my browser.
  • Absolutely loved it. Didn't lose a lot of weight but toned up and felt much fitter.
  • Hi I'm Becca and just love working out. I have just finished a round of Insanity and have done my first week of T25 although happy to restart to join the rest of you. Stats: Age: 42 Height: 5' 11" Weight: 155lbs Goal weight: it would be nice to lose a few pounds but it is not really my main goal. Goal: To be super fit and…
  • Would be really interested to see how you find Insanity after T25. I am doing it the other way round - I am currently in the first week of T25 Alpha after doing a round of Insanity.
