Yes!!! I've always had to go the full fat hidden valley ranch route because nothing else has compared but ever since I've tried the Bolthouse Ranch, I've never looked back. Sooo good! I'm excited to try out more from the line.

Haha! Yeah I was wrong, actually...it's my Hidden Valley that has ML. My Bolthouse, which is my new found fave, does actually have grams. Thanks! I feel silly now. I had to go look again, my bad!

Yes! I do exactly that when I'm weighing solids. My scale doesn't have the ML option but now that I know 1g=1Ml for my dressing, I will use the grams on my scale. Thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone! I will continue with my measuring spoons!
-
See I've been using the measuring spoons but I've seen people say in the past that measuring spoons are unreliable so I didn't know if I should be doing something different. Thanks!

Thank you everyone sooo much!!! Happy to have some new tips and suggestions :)

Hmm, yes, good question. My polar strap has been acting a little wonky, I need to order another one. So I've just been using my Apple Watch but I don't really know how accurate it is so I was only trying to eat an extra 100 calories or so. When I had my polar, my burn would be anywhere between 300-450 for the 30 minutes.…

Thank you everyone! So hunger is normal and expected? Gotcha! It just threw me for a loop :) I was used to eating at meal times with no problems and then BAM, I'm constantly checking the clock for my next meal time. It definitely caught me off guard, haha! @vingogly I will up my protein too, that may help. Thanks!…

Hmmm, never thought of it that way. I hate exercising hungry though and here lately I've been counting down the minutes until dinner haha! Do you find that exercising beforehand reduces your dinner appetite?

Hi! My daily calories are at 1340 (1 lb a week setting). My goal weight is 135, I'm 5'3. I do Insanity most days in the morning at around 10 AM. If I can't fit it in at 10AM, I will do it in the evenings around 6PM. In a perfect world, I would like to get up and get it done at 6:30 but I just haven't made the commitment.

That's exactly what I just did! Enjoying my chili now. I'm so happy that I learned this accurate way of putting in my recipes! Thanks :)

Ok, gotcha! Thank you for all of the suggestions!

Find something you don't mind doing long term and start. Walking is always a good place to start or a maybe a workout video. I don't know how the weather is where you live but here in GA it feels great around 3-6 PM so maybe going outside for a walk while it's nice outside a few times a week could work well for you.

I always preplan my night snack. I may even exchange out my daytime snacks so I can have a larger night time snack...that's how necessary a night snack is for me, haha! I tried to just not have a night time snack and led me to bingeing or when one of my kids would wake me up in the middle of night, it would be super hard…

That's awesome! I did Insanity many years ago. I just finished doing Insanity Max 30. Those super long workouts in Month 2 is why I haven't returned to the original Insanity but it is an awesome workout!

Something that I've learned after trying to lose weight and being unsuccessful each time is that you can not rely on motivation to get you through. Disciple is what's needed. I'm finally seeing true success this time because I no longer care if I'm motivated to do it, I do it anyway. Motivation fades over time. Disciple…

Oh this is great for accountability! Awesome! Name: Sarah Age: 30 Height: 5'3 Start Weight (January 31): 173.6 Goal Weight (end of Feb): 168.6 Weigh-ins: Feb 6th: Feb 13th: Feb 20th: Feb 27th:

I'm not a gym goer or a weight lifter is so I don't know how to help you with that but I will say that you don't have to do the same thing all of the time. Workouts being boring is exactly what will keep you from doing it long term. I do a lot of different workout videos that are fresh and fun. I love TurboFire from…

I think it can have something to do with your body shape too. Like a poster above, I'm pear shaped. Therefore it takes a lot of weight for me to gain to actually show a heavy/pudgier stomach. Most of mine, goes to my hips, thighs, butt, and legs. I'm 175 right now at 5'3 (goal is 135) after having two children and my…

My GYN put me on Yaz because it helped with PMDD which is basically a more severe form of PMS and it took away all of my PMS symptoms. It did such a good job that when I finally got off of it, I didn't even recognize or know how to cope with the real deal PMS when it hit. I track my cycle with an app called Clue so I…

I know for me, anytime I tried low carb in the past I would have a massive drop (like everyone else has said) in the first couple of weeks and then it evens out to about 1 lb a week. So I was like, "why am I killing myself trying to do low carb when I'm going to lose the same amount." So I came to MFP, started counting…

Edited to delete my last question. Figured it out! Thanks!

Ooohhhh! I am so doing this from now on. I always estimated how many servings and hoped I did it right, yikes! Now I can be legit on my recipes, yay! Thanks!
-
So let me get this straight, because I think I've been doing this wrong the whole time. I weigh the bowl first that I'm cooking it in so I can subtract that out. Then after I put all of my ingredients, I take the total weight and make that the serving size? Then what am I measuring in my individual bowl when I'm ready to…

Such great information and insight! Thank you! I have an almost brand new pair of Asics running shoes that I thought I could use for Insanity Max but couldn't. I will definitely break those out. I feel like I have a good bit of a cardio foundation, but I know that running can be an entirely different animal. Running has…

This is exactly what I was wanting to know! Thank you everyone!

Yeah, definitely not training for anything specific, that's just the way they have the workout schedule set up and that's why I can get so burnt out on it. It gets to be a lot on your knees after a while. I can be very "all or nothing" about certain things so that's why I was thinking I'd have to do the whole IM30 schedule…

Ok, I completely understand. I will definitely take a look at the couch 2 5k because the first day of the 10k said to go run 2.5 miles and was like yeah, no, haha! It definitely seemed like a lot and I thought that was the beginner one...but I see now, I need to drop the distance also. Thank you!
-
See! That's what I was wondering. I wonder why. Is it the higher calorie burn or is it just the motion of using our legs for long distances? I've never been a runner but I was thinking of doing an 8 week beginner 10k running plan just to see if I notice any difference. My sister dropped 20 lbs like it was nothing when she…
