  • I would start with eliminating or at least minimizing you fast food and junk food intake. Trust me, I know how hard it is to maintain healthy eating habit while in school. I personally gained 45 lbs while getting my bachelors degrees. I know how hectic the schedule can get and how it just seems like there isn't time. Start…
  • This is definitely a tricky subject. And yes, if I were not on this weight loss kick and was still at my top weight I would probably be POed. However, the reality is that obesity is a real issue affecting real people. If the government can tax my cigarette because they are unhealthy why shouldn't they impose a tax on my…
  • I agree. The biggest loser is a sham. I read an article once, where past contestent where revealing what really happens on that show. They where basically tought trick to cheat the scale. Let dehydrating the night before a weight in to get rid of water weight. Ridiculous if you ask me.
  • I agree. The green number no longer tells how much more I can eat. I look at it and think ok I need to exercise to get that number higher. Definitely an exercise motivator. Love it.
  • Starting the Olivia Method today with a start weight of 152.4. Can't wait to post next week.
  • Hi Lauren, So sorry about your accident but glad you are back. I am also her for the support. I am losing just for me. I am one of those people that has been up and down. I lost 40lb in my early twenties and maintained it for year. Made the decision to go back to college in 2004 and in the following 4 year gain it all back…
  • OK. I am going to give this a shot. Fingers crossed.
  • I recently bought a few pair at Kohls and they seems to fit really well. Everytime I wear them I am asked if have lost more weight. (plus) But I really haven't (minus). lol
  • I am addicted to my zumba cardo dvds. Best investment I ever made.
  • I typically will log in the morning everything I am planning to eat for the day. Then make changes throughout the day, if necessary. This works for me because it give my an idea of where I can afford to change things up.
  • Just curious. I have the DVD and love them. Done a few classes and while I love the interaction and motivation of a class attisphere. I feel like I burn more with the DVDs. How does the game compare?

  • Back track in your Journal. I always go back to the days I missed (usually weekend) so I have an idea of where I stand. For example, this morning I had to go back and journal Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. While it is probably not 100% accurate as I am have forgotten something here or there, at least I have a general…
  • This is exactly why my husband and I do his/her money. We never have those "why am I putting out more then you" arguements. All our bill money goes into one account and we each know how much we are expected to contribute to that account. Whatever is left over is our spending money. However, we do know what each others…
  • I personally have not set a ultimate goal for myself. Taking it in steps, 10 lbs at a time. That total number is to large for me to even think about. So every time a lose 10 lbs, I think to myself "what's next". Usually the answer is "another ten". I plan on doing that till I am happy with my weight, regardless of where my…
  • It's a money thing. I mean come on... where else are you getting a hot meal for $2.50 most are gettig reduced or free lunch so they aren't even paying that much. If you aren't thinking about the nutrition it seems like a steal.
  • I agree. I refuse to buy the food i know I can't have. As a result, my husband buys his own junk food. We alternate grocery shopping so on week I shop there is more fruits and veggies in the house. Don't get me wrong I still get treats for the house but healthier versions that I can also partake in. For example: I get…
  • As long as you weigh yourself around the same time, it counts. I always weigh myself in the morning as soon as I wake up. Just pick the time of day that works best for you and stick with it.
  • Love Bailey for a Girl too. I have two kids. One of each, Megan Elizabeth (which is so plain) and Julian River (I love his name but he hates it). Others I like are: For Girls: Samatha Erin Tyler Rae (Can you tell I like boy names for girls) For Boys: Conner Micheal
  • I don't see why not. I would be careful about eating to many of the pre-packaged foods because of the high sodium
  • My kids are older and I am fortunate that my husband is really supportive of what I am doing. I find if I don't workout as soon as get home from work it doesn't happen. So generally he will cook dinner while I workout. What a great man, huh.
  • I was never a big Junk food eater, except for fast food. So my biggest swap in McDonalds to Subway when I have to eat on the go.
  • No way to tell really. Just keep using the same scale. Even if it is off, you gains and loses will be correct.
  • No sure. But it is simple enough that I am willing to try it.
  • I eat the same thing my family is eating. However, I have to plan my day out in order to be able to do that. Eating a seperate meal from everyone else is not a substainable lifestyle, at least not for me. Plus, it isn't going to kill my kids and husband to eat a little healthier.

  • I do. But I only update it on Tuesdays because you fluctuate so much during the week.
  • First, Don't beat yourself up over it. We all have those days. Start fresh tomorrow. As long as you are good the rest of the week you will be fine. Remember you have to overeat by 3500 calories to gain 1 pound. So you are fine, as long as you don't do it 3-4 time a week.
  • People who have never had to diet just don't get it, and probably never will. Personally, just delete it and don't even bother responding. The reaction is what they want. If you are not reacting to it then they will stop. Just remind youself who's gonna be laughing come swimsuit season.
  • Yes. Alot of people make this mistake. You should get a baseline by wearing the heart rate monitor for 1 hr while doing your normal routine. Then subtract that from the 362. That will give the actual extra calories burned.
