When will our eyes meet, when can I touch you, when will this strong yearning end?

If you are eating ‘whole foods’ and aren’t a vegetarian it shouldn’t be hard. Start with protein: Chicken and turkey breast, eggs, white ocean fish(cod, pollock, sea bass, tilapia) and shrimp are excellent sources of protein to calorie ratio. Stay away from processed grains(cakes, breads, pasta and cereal) and eat plenty…

Hi Eileen! I’m back on my fitness pal after a long absence, I can't remember how to send a friend request, but am happy to add you!

Good job!

Yes, I log my alchohol calories. I treat those calories much the way you do. Generally, I try to earn them ( the extra calories for food and drinkies) through exercise on the days I know I am going to eat out or to a party. I feel that works better than trying to work those calories off the day after!

I use it 6-8 times a day and I usually take it with meals.

Great job, Elizabeth! I had the same experience last year. MFP is an amazing tool and resource which helped me lose 62 lbs. I credit MFP greatly for my success so far and agree with queenliz above. It is easy with the tools here. I enjoyed keeping the journal and tracking everything was so simple. Good luck with your next…

Confession, I get to a point where I just don't care about being thinner enough to bother with portion control, calorie counting, exercise...and I revert to the couch potato mode.

I have found that I sleep better if I do not eat after 8 or 9 at night. I am not sure why, but if I eat late I am always really hungry the next day. These things help me resist the urge to eat anything more than a light snack about an hour before bed. For Feb 2015 me:1/LNS:0

I am a swimmer and the Aquatic Director at our YMCA. Everyone above has given good information. Try to find a swim buddy or download some easy workouts you can use as a starting point. You are starting out at the beginning and facing your workouts like a lot other people. Do what you can now and make ach workout a little…

We all feel this way sometimes. The difference is, the successful people stay on track more often than not. Remind yourself everyday that you want to be thinner and healthier and eat that way. You can do it.

Go girl! 106 is my ultimate goal to lose so thanks for sharing! The dresses were all spectacular but you look stunning in red. :)

Good job recognizing the need to reboot right away. Since you are injured & you can't use exercise to burn out the extra calories, you can get back on track fast by logging today and staying under! Drink lots of water and get plenty of fiber today to move things along. ;)

HaPpY BiRtHdAY! Enjoy the day, I personally hate work birthday stuff...I take my birthday week as vacation and always spend most of the day treating myself to the spa and shopping. Alone. Then I make my family take me somewhere nice for dinner. ;)

Yes. I weigh every day before breakfast. It keeps me accountable and I am motivated for the day ahead. I only log my losses, though, since I haven't really had any gains of more than a few ounces for the six months I have been on MFP.

Yes we can see it! Sometimes people don't mention it until they are sure, often they seem to notice it more when they have not seen you for a while. People started commenting when I got to twenty or so pounds lost, which was about 10% loss. That s when it really changes our body shape. Then again, I had a gal I had not…

Does anyone honestly think a big Mac, large fry and coke is healthy? Stop trying to justify self destructive eating that causes obesity, it is an argument that can't be won. Successfully losing weight means eating nutritious foods without excessive calories, saturated fat and processed sugar. It is a simple formula that…

I agree with the OP on one point, I won't applaud people for going to McDonalds for lunch. Since most people are here on MFP to get support to change their weight and lifestyle they don't need to be criticized, but I am not going to 'support' and cheer people on when they are making poor food choices...even if it fits…

Fajitas, only eat one tortilla since they are at least 100 cals and all carb Salad with grilled chicken or shrimp Ensalata fajita which is a salad with grilled stuff on top, just don't eat the fried tortilla bowl. Avoid the chips, sour cream and flan. Do eat some guac, it's good for you. I eat Mexican every week. Our…

My husband and I have bought drinks for strangers when on our anniversary or a dinner date a couple of times or offered to share our champagne. We have received the generosity of others on occasion, as well. It is always nice to spread the love!

I agree with Suzana. I have lost a lot of weight in 6 months with MFP by watching calories and exercising more. I did cut out foods that were 'empty' calories, such as soda and chips and made sure most of what I ate contained nutrition my body needed. I did watch the macros in an attempt to balance fat, protein and carbs…

My grandmother was orthorexic, for the last thirty years of her life. She thought she could manage her real health issues by managing her diet. She disregarded the advice of doctors and nutritionists and believed she had a magic formula to fix her problems. She only became sicker as her body became more malnourished. Her…

OK, you have lost 100 lbs, half of your goal. CELEBRATE! You were doing something right. Hitting a plateau is normal and means you need some time and renewed energy to get your body and mind back on track. Getting back in the game means having a plan. You should think about what you did that worked and what are the things…

MFP will figure your macros automatically for a 50 percent carb, 30 fat, 20 protein ratio. Under goals you can select the amount you want to lose per week and MFP will apply the formula. You can choose the option to do it manually, too. This will allow you to adjust calories and the macro ratios. I have mine set for 45…

I am an aquatic director at a Y in CT. Water exercise will be great for you and especially kind to your plantar fasciitis. Deep water jogging, skiing and bicycling will be great for your joints, core and cardio and may even help your foot. Ask the staff there for help with flotation devices if you need support or help with…

I weigh in almost every day, first thing in the morning. I find it has helped keep me focused and l only log my losses. Silly reward system, but it works for me.

I found that trying to eat clean was extremely helpful in losing weight. While I was counting calories and keeping an eye on the macros it was the concept of eating clean that help me make the best choices when shopping and cooking. Avoiding processed foods, especially snack foods that were fried or baked meant I got the…

You have made the first step, Mike! You changed something that's going to make a BIG difference. You will be walking in no time. Feel free to add me and I will be happy to support you.

Normal post work out soreness and stiffness will get better with time, but in the meantime, try doing an easy work-out on the second day to work out the kinks and soreness. Walking, swimming or a light aerobic or circuit class always makes me feel looser and less sore. I get very tight if I don't move. Stay hydrated since…
