Can someone tell me how I determine what my macros should be per day. I know it's determined by weight, gender, height etc., but I'm not quite sure how to come to the numbers that are best for me. My goal is to lose 1-2 lbs per week.

MFP will figure your macros automatically for a 50 percent carb, 30 fat, 20 protein ratio. Under goals you can select the amount you want to lose per week and MFP will apply the formula. You can choose the option to do it manually, too. This will allow you to adjust calories and the macro ratios. I have mine set for 45 carb, 30 fat and 25 protein since I am trying to gain lean muscle. Good luck!0

MFP automatically calculates macros to the following percentages of daily food intake:
Carbohydrates - 50%
Fats - 30%
Protein - 20%
For a general weight loss perspective for most people this macro breakdown should be fine. However, if you exercise intensively and/or do regular strength training, then many people would recommend increasing protein.
