I started logging again on MFP on 2/5/2016. I have lost 16.4 pounds so far and have at least 50 more pounds to lose. Though I am really motivated I thought it would be good for me to have a group to be accountable to and to be able to provide support to others. Several years ago I lost 97 pounds, but struggled with the…

Thanks everyone for your response. :) I know I exercise a lot; though I do most of it not to exercise but because I like doing it. Following are the answers to your posts: Not of the time I do not eat back my exercise calories which is why I was thinking I should eat more. I weigh/measure all of my food. I actually prepare…

Thank you. The funny thing was when I started running, I decided to run a half and during my training I told my husband I would never run a full. I chose one of the hardest courses as my 1st marathon, and hope to stay injury free so that I can run another full this fall. Take care, Trisha

Someone else a few weeks ago posted the link below and I have been using it ever since. This is a great tool...all you need to know is your average heart rate for the time that you work out. http://www.triathlontrainingblog.com/calculators/calories-burned-calculator-based-on-average-heart-rate/ Take care, Trisha

I weigh myself 1st thing every morning to keep myself honest. I don't skip even if I had a bad day as it shows me the impact of my actions. The biggest thing is to understand why you are stepping on the scale and to not get down on yourself when it fluctuates. I don't get upset if I am up a pound or so but know that I did…

In my opinion...if you are eating less than 1,200 calories a day then you are not eating enough. The more you exercise the more you need to eat because your body needs the energy to burn the fat. When I was training for my marathon I was eating 2,300 calories a day and still losing weight. Take care.

Jamie - I went from 274 to 184 currently. I began my journey, along with my husband, in August 2008 when I turned 30 years old. It has been a long journey and I have stayed approximately the same weight for over a year. I fluctuate no 10 pounds; but, just last week I decided it was time to finish my goal (which is to get…
