i'm back to low-carbing. I allow myself one carb meal per week (tonight, it's pizza). Keeps me happy, gives me something to look forward to, and I reduce calorie/fat/carbs all day before to accommodate the meal. Oh, and it's homemade. I think delivery pizza comes with crack in it...so addictive! You can do this!

thanks for the info. I was also wondering if it was simply overwhelming hunger today. I skipped my late-night snack last night b/c i was full, so when i woke up, i was hungry and nauseous. it was hard to eat breakfast b/c i really wanted to eat it, but was wary of keeping it down. I just ate some yogurt and i'm feeling…

I love my 2010 Subaru Forrester. I purchased mine and plan to hold onto it for 10-12 years.

I've been there-- i love my bf and i think after he started using his new grill these past 3 years, he's realized it's not easy to get dinner on the table. I'm lucky- he supports me, but unless you ask him to participate in the process, you will never get what you want.

you CAN do this! One day at a time, one step at a time. i wish i had your courage when i was 20... then i would not be 34 and trying to do this now. :) today: eat healthy, track calories and go for a walk. tomorrow, do it again.

we are mates in the same boat! My nutritionist also advocates healthy fats b/c she says it'll curb the carb cravings... and it can lower the glycemic index of carbs that you do eat. I've been advised to "never eat carbs alone!" (and I don't mean in a closet, with a plate of pasta!), so apples + p.butter, fruit + cheese...

i'm Kate, 34, live in Newton... grew up in the metro Boston area. I'm trying to lost a lot of weight, but i'm taking it 1lb and 1 day at a time to get down to my goal!

Actually, I know quite a few academics with the resources to get a drug to market. This is my field.I work with pharma companies all day long. And, i work in Alzheimer's. Pfizer (and a lot of other companies) are working very hard to find a treatment or cure. Look at the ADNI for some inspiration.

find an endocrinologist to be your PCP. My endo is fabulous, understands PCOS and actively treats women with it. He arranged for a nutritionist and they stay in constant contact re: my diet and A1C levels (I'm IR- insulin resistant). 40% of my daily intake comes from carbs, which is great for a PCOS diet.

Veggies, veggies, veggies. Low calorie, high fiber... high "volume" food. Start adding a large green salad--- w/ lots of veggies to lunch and dinner. Eat the salad FIRST. And, for dressing: stick to oil and vinegar--- no bottled dressings. I eat a salad at each meal and I eat it first, this "100 calorie" addition to the…
