kimchee. grew up eating it and i can eat just a jar of it for dinner. i don't need rice. rice would make it great but it's not necessary. thank god it's low in calories  and it can stink up a room to high heaven if left out too long.

haha...fuzzy 70's bands...all i can think of is Olivia Newton John "Let's get Physical" I'm a big fan of Lululemon's headbands. i have the Dance headband which is $9 and the Slipless which is $12. Little pricey for a headband but it works and makes me feel cuter when I'm sweating like an animal during my run

i used to keep the scale in front of my fridge...obsessed much? i got down to once a day and now i'm trying for every other day. some days with better success...

I guess diligence and more positive attitude pays off Last weigh in: 131.9 Today: 130.8 Woot! Woot!

Rest up! As far as nutrition goes, eat or don't eat being mindful of nutrients you need and stay hydrated. Feel better! :flowerforyou:

I do the same thing! When I hit a plateau of boredom I just think of my calorie count for the day. Circuit training is another great way to fight boredom.

Don't be afraid of it! Isn't it insane how afraid we are of carbs? What has atkins and south beach done to us. Everything in moderation I say. And this is a lifestyle...so what? you're never going to have sushi? We have to find a way to add it into our lives. I just had some for lunch. YUM! Enjoy each roll, have a…

That is a great approach. It's a change of lifestyle.

i would go with the pre-work out weigh in as tempting as the post-work out weigh in is...i hear ya. i get the same thing especially cause i run....all that water weight...very tempting. Enjoy how you feel and the sense of accomplishment in that! The weight loss will follow next week! :)

for me, i've found my shoes last me 400-500 miles. I think it matters how much and what direction your foot pronates in. <-- that's what the person at the The Running Company store told me (and everyone who works there is a runner). Good socks are always a big help and makes the run more enjoyable than socks that suck.…

wow! that is great accomplishment! treat yourself to a pedicure or a piece of clothing to give yourself a boost...as if the weight loss isn't enough! you should be very very proud! :flowerforyou:

this is interesting. never thought of oversalting as a deterrent. according to my food log, i already eat too much sodium - don't be alarmed...it's never by that much.
-
I am going to run toninght and then try and tackle day 1 of 30 day shred...you think that's too much?
-
i both obsessively track and obsessively think. about what i'm going to eat and what i'd really love to be eating and why the hell can't i eat like so and so and blah blah blah it goes on and on.
-
for sure. i've found i have to double check some of the food items i check off the list. i put in for a piece of chicken breast once and it put in 50g of fat. um. really? even if it were deep fried, that wouldn't be the case. weird. i'm sure you can find another brand or another cup of rice in the database that will give…

Hey guys, just want to add myself into the pot. I know you're ahead of me but would like to add the dvd into my workouts. thanks!

More motivation to have it more often and make it last longer ;) :blushing:

Congratulations! I would say focus on all the wonderful aspects of the engagement and getting married part and staying healthy. Stressing out will only lead to stress on the body and in my case, it only makes it hold on to weight for dear life. Live and let go, stay active and the weight should follow.

zumba. hm. there arent any classes near me, that i've seen. but i see the infomercial for the dvds. are they pretty effective?
-
i say save your money. they're a gimmick. better off adding a few lunges and squats into your routine.
-
pushups - not modified but for real and if you can't do them at first, just hold the starting pushup position for as long as you can and lower yourself down into one pushup slowly. burns like hades

Thanks for all the replies, guys! I had a cup of coffee this morning and am still waiting for some magic. going to look into magnesium and maybe the epsom salt with water...yowza. Really weird when your body doesn't let go. tmi. but honestly, i just feel a little toxic or maybe i'm just being a little mental.

I heart that show. Makes me cry. They put in no less than 4 hours of gym time a day + i think they eat no less than 1200 and no more than 1800 cal depending on the person. Also, I remember a few seasons back hearing that they also eat a "free" or "reward" meal after the weigh in to shock the system and also to remain…

so. since yesterday I've had an apple and a fiber one bar for a snack, made whole wheat pasta with ground turkey and marinara for dinner, had oatmeal for breakfast and repeated the apple and fiber one combo for a snack and i got NADA. zip. zilch. what is going on?!

from a label perspective, staying under 140mg or less per serving is ideal. Also, staying away from any packaged or frozen meals will automatically get you on the right track. Try and incorporate more herbs for flavor with your veggies and meats instead of salt and you won't even miss it. I'm not preggers (congrats by the…

i do interval training with hills and/or with speed....anything that throws my body for a loop and makes my heartrate go higher than it normally would during that run. I started as part of marathon training and have kept it up ever since.
