  • What will happen when you age? We all get old or sometimes sick and change physically. Do it for yourself.

  • Hi there :) I am Erin from Canada. I used to run long ago & really enjoyed it. I struggle with anxiety and running is the one exercise that really helps me manage it, which in turn controls my stress eating. I trained to run 5km using the 5km runner app. I don't have much alone time so I am working on speed for the most…
  • Goal: 125km/77miles June 1 - 5.5km June 2 - 5 km
  • Hi all :) I will try and run 125 km this month, which is just over 77 miles ;) No patience to figure out the ticket deal right now lol . It didn't work the first time darn it! Ran 5.5 on the treadmill today. 119.5km remaining
  • Holy crap what a fantastic job you have done: bravo. Super impressed here.
  • I prefer the Polar HRMs. Simple to use and quite accurate within a 5% range for calories burned. Both options seem popular.
  • Thank you for being so helpful everyone :)

  • You can do it. I am 43 and have been an emotional eater my entire life. Although I wouldn't say I am addicted to food, I do believe in food addiction.
  • Add me if you like. I am trying to lose 30 as well. Am an emotional eater. Supportive, good humour and forgiving. My diary isn't open, but maybe one day.
  • Yes, do the above as GBrady mentioned. ;)
  • I wouldn't go for the 1200 calories a day. That is low , hard to manage long term and you will be hungry. If you bump them up to 1500 hundred a day and get some form of exercise in each day, I think you will do well.
  • I am 43, close to 44. 50 isn't that old!?!?! lol :) It is never to late to look and feel your best, at 50 -60 etc....

  • I just realized you said it is too dark to walk. Hopefully it lights up soon. Try getting bits in here and there throughout the day, as I mentioned :) running on the spot, jumping jacks, squats, push-ups etc.... There are a lot of things you could do at home. I have been doing the treadmill for 20-30 minutes a day, but…
  • Hi there, I am very busy also, and tired lol What I would suggest is do bits of exercise here and there throughout the day, or getting up extra early, which is hard and takes getting used to. Walking is great & good for stress. You could amp up the pace or carry a weighted knapsack to make it more challenging. If you have…
  • Hi back at you. I am trying to lose 30 and keep it off.

  • I am 43 & trying to change a lifetime battle with food. Take small steps. I fell off the wagon for 1.5 years with MFP LOL. I. gained back 10 of the 30 I lost - I have 30 to go :) ... we can do it :)
  • Sorry but they are *****@s. That is brutal and all about them not you. I know it still hurts and enrages you however. I hate mean people. Use your anger towards exercise. Binging is only a temporary fix and you will feel worse. I am an emotional eater myself. There are a lot of good people on this site. I would report that…
  • Hi there, I sent you a friend request. I have had a poor relationship with food my entire life. I am 43. Two kids. I used to under eat and over-exercise etc, then I went the other way in my 30's. Trying to make a permanent healthy life-style change. I am forgiving, accepting & have a great sense of humour. We can do this…
  • It is possible but it will take longer and you will have to watch your calorie intake very closely. I hear you on the being busy and exhausted. Anything is better than nothing. What about doing squats or push-ups etc randomly through- the day, just to get your heart rate up? Exercise is so great for your mood, even If you…
  • I can relate to a lot of what you wrote. I just started back today also. We can do this :)
  • I just started back today. I am in BC. Trying to change lifelong. Emotional eater. Busy with work and kids. Always open to new fun, supportive & forgiving friends.
