Ha I am jealous of mine because he has just gone to buy himself chocolate jam doughnuts,,,AGAIN and because HE CAN. Each of these doughnuts have 504 calories and God knows how many carbs. He buys a 4 pack about twice a week and eats 2 at a time, And yes he is skinny!!! No he does not do much physical activity. Talk about…

Boy I can imagine the weight is just going to fall off of you now. It was already moving so well. You'll be slim Jim before you now it. Well done.

Really inspirational!!!! Well done. You really do look fabulous.

Yay.......................I am so thrilled for you. Finally after such a long journey. I am so glad you got your choice of sleeve. Gosh I will be overseas the day of your surgery but I will be back by the 12th,,probably just in time to hear how it all went. Great weight loss so far. You are going to do so well. :-)

Well done!!!! Haha,,,I zip lined last year when I weighed 280lb. I flew very fast but I laughed when I saw the photos. I was like a sack of potatoes flying across the sky. All the others looked like they had some control over their body. not me. They all panicked every time I zipped towards a platform thinking I was not…

meeting nutritional needs was my focus,,I rarely did back then but that was my focus. I wish you the best of luck and remind you that you are being very pro active in asking for help. That means you want to do it right, which is the biggest challenge for everyone. I think you'll be ok. :-)

Everybody's pre and post instructions are different and the these variations in instructions don't seem to make some people more successful than others. Go back and read what your team suggested for you. That is the best solution to this issue for you right now. I was allowed to eat soft foods such as scrambled eggs by…

Hiya Okay my settings have just gone up as I am post 6 months now. (March) I was at under 800 calories for first 6 months and I am slowly working my way up towards 1000 at 12 months and then hopefully not too long after that, maintenance whatever those figures happens to be. I went to 850 about 3 weeks ago and then 900…

Well I can say it will get better but you already know that. So what I suggest you do is as Mangopickle said,, get creative. Vary the tastes. I was travelling post op so I had to do with whatever I could buy in an Indian supermarket. I bought packet soups in many flavours,,some spicy some not. I also had juices in every…

I too didn't know you could be done twice? I am glad that you get a second chance.

Well done!!! Your well on your way to an amazing journey. Don't panic when stalls comes along,,,they don't hang around forever. I am a great believer in rewards for reaching goals you set. Have you set any goals yet? I am still in the obese bmi category which is frustrating to me because I don't feel obese any more. But I…

Well it depends on what we call a stall. I have had absolutely no weight loss on the scales or even going up a little where I was unable to update my diary for about 10 days. However at 6 months my weight loss has slowed to crawling,,so sometimes I think I am stalled but it is just moving gram by gram and is not easy to…

Well done!!!! You have made it! I am just coming up behind you but it has been a slow month. Expected t be there by now. Learning patience now more than ever. We seem to have similar goals. I've just added another 40 on for my final goal too. that should take me to 140 and from there I can decided if I need any more loss…

So sorry. We'll all be here when your ready. xx

Stalls make you doubt things. I PROMISE you your stall will break. I have had a few and just coming off one today. I never took measurements and I wish I had. But sometimes the measurements move even if the scale doesn't. Let your body heal itself and then it will be ready to shift again. :-D

No horror stories here. 6 months and nearing 100 pound down. You will here different folk given different instructions with their pre and post op diets. Follow your teams instructions and things should go to plan. It is scary pre op but exciting also. You've a great journey ahead with lots of rewards for good choices.

Yes often I repeat menus and get frustrated as I struggle to finish something OR want more. Our bodies really are a wonderland of complexity.

Travelling was a part of my sleeve process as I had it done in India. We did a little trip up North of India to my Uncle's war grave before heading to Mumbai. It was hard flying on liquid pre op diet but I was advised I could take very fluid kedgiree if need be. I packed lots of diet shake packs and lived mainly on those.…

OP it is okay to feel a bit worried at first. But many might even just be looking in a respectful way, thinking something like "go for it" or "well done". The more they see you there the more they are impressed at your commitment. Just a possibility. However I am not a gym fan. Even at home I like privacy still when I work…

As I stated everybody's experience is different and many people are private rightly so. But there are many on here have mentioned negative comments which make them feel unable to share their experience. I hate to think of people on the cusp of a new healthy life feeling this way. As you say, not everybody shares their…

I know everybody's experience is different but I get angry when I read this having to hide the truth. Not angry with the sleever but angry to think there are still such narrow minded people out there that can intimidate folk into feeling they have something to be ashamed of.

Haha yes my all mainly gone, except my sons still come home most weekends from University. House stays clean all week. Weekends we always know they have been home. Miss them all but starting to enjoy the other side of life too. As for shopping, absolutely! So much wastage the first few months. Starting to get there but not…

Ok so last night I went to Chinatown in Melbourne with family I hadn't seen in 30 years. I was worried to pre surgery about the same thing. But since surgery and losing weight, gaining confidence and feeling so much better all around, I happily share my surgery story. I have nothing to apologise for and I have not yet had…
-
I had my surgery then joined here. Nothing the other forums talk about is relevant to me so I never go there. All of my friends are vsg or planning to. I really don't require strangers having a negative say in my life. I have found support not judgement. Just refresh your friends list with support only criteria. Good luck.

Just loved reading this Pawoodhull. It is stories like this that just remind us it is not all about the scale movement.

No regrets. Best weight loss decision of my life. Took some adjusting and I am still learning. Have to make good decisions of course but much easier to do with the sleeve by my side. I believe that daily logging, measuring EVERYTHING and talking to the good people on here who have also gone through the sleeve experience,…

Well said Garber6th. As I get closer to 100 down I am really believing in myself more and more. The compliments come daily as you meet someone you haven't seen for a while. That keeps reminding me how far I have actually come in 5 months. Have faith in the tool Hildabean. Once you have been given this amazing gift, really…

You said in the past it has been counter productive for you so yes maybe you can find a variation by weighing every second day and reducing it in this manner. It might help to set an achievable goal, then reset it as time goes by. However I am definitely scale obsessed. I worried for a little while about it but then…

This is good advice guys,,thanks. I need to stop being scared of certain foods. I have them in my cupboard, they are just off limits in my mind. Last night I ate a small handful of peanuts and nearly died when I counted the calories,,,crazy because I was trying to boost them. I have taught myself to stay away from taboo…
