Thanks for all the suggestions. I have decided to strike a happy medium... gonna enjoy some (healthy) za--Roasted Artichoke & Spinach w/Chicken Pizza on Honey Wheat Whole Grain Crust) & a 1/2 Asparagus & Arugula Salad. It is imperitive that I pre-plan for things like this or I get all stressed/flustered at the restaurant.…

Diet Coke Chicken. Tastes just like BBQ chicken, is super easy to make and great for those who are not talented in the kitchen. Mix 1 can of Diet Coke with 1 C ketchup (to keep the sodium down use low sodium ketchup) in a bowl. Place 4-5 boneless/skinless chicken breasts in a pan on stove top. Pour coke/ketchup mixture…

Almond Butter--1 T is 90 calories. I am completely addicted to it!
-
I'm trying to find that recipe on the site... the only search I can find is a Google search. Can you direct me to what section it's listed under?
-
I liked the page and you... good luck!

My AM was 7:1; lunch & dinner 10:1--I've changed the AM to 10:1 so I'll be getting less insulin for my b'fast bolus. It really makes much more sense to me now... less total insulin per day so I needed to lower the carb:insulin rate. We'll see how tomorrow morning goes. I just looooove being a science project!
-
Now that my head is starting to focus again, I am wondering if because my total daily insulin needs have lowered if I need to adjust my carb ratios--not my basal rates. My pre b'fast numbers have been slightly low--not too bad so I did lower my midnight basal so I wake up a little higher--but it's the 2 hour post b'fast…

Try Meijer. Not 100% positive I saw that "flavor", but I did get the Flaxseed Flatout at Meijer.

My recipe is higher calorie than the others, but it's my entire b'fast and keeps me going until lunch! 1 T Jif - Natural - Creamy Low Sodium Peanut Butter 95 calories 1/2 Medium Banana 53 calories 3/4 C Silk - Pure Unsweetened Almond Milk 26 calories 1 T Bob's Red Mill - Organic 100% Whole Ground Golden Flaxseed Meal 30…

Totally agree! Gum is the ONE thing I just let slide. Unless I chew a pack in a day or something... lol
-
That is fantastic! I find it interesting that the most obvious place when people lose 10 lbs. is the face... it can completely change how a person looks. Great job!
-
I am thoroughly impressed! You look amazing!

I'm T1 as well--diagnosed about 10 years ago and been on the pump for a year and a half. I fought it for YEARS and am so glad I made the choice to switch. I do NOT miss giving myself shots in the least--especially having to do it in public. I use the Medtronic Minimed. I am only about 3 months into MFP and just recently…

I used to drink next to nothing all day. For whatever reason it didn't even occur to me to go and get water or anything else for that matter. Since starting MFP I have a ginormous plastic cup that goes with me everywhere. I always have lemons on hand to flavor it up and a straw to make it as mindless as possible. I have a…

I DID! I DID! Made my first wrap today: Flatout Multi-Grain w/Flax Low Sodium Oven Roasted Turkey Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese Avocado  Margaritaville Mild Salsa

The fact that you owned up and posted this here speaks volumes so kudos on that. Second--don't discount your 32 lb. loss--that is amazing! I'm at 11 and that was a struggle so again--pat yourself on the back! MFP is the BEST place for support, IMO. Post here when you're feeling crummy or need a lift and within minutes…
-
Also wanted to say... you made it through the 1st day so pat yourself on the back! Every day is an accomplishment!
-
That was my huge downfall as well. Oddly, once I started MFP it sort of just... disappeared. Maybe I'm using my time on the boards here instead of stuffing my face? Try stocking frozen grapes in your freezer so that when you do want/need a late in the day snack, grab those. They take longer to eat and are lower in…

Your employer brings beer to work??? Damn, I want THAT job! :) [/quote] LMFAO! DITTO!

Though it's easy to say "avoid the food", it's not always easy to do. People want to feel a part of the group, which sometimes--ok almost always--includes FOOD. I would say next time don't have the entire bagel, but half. And have an alternative at the office to the fatty cream cheese... maybe sugar free jelly to put on…

Hands down: ENELL (http://www.enell.com/testimonials.php) Recommended by Oprah and everything.

That would be a sure sign I should order Lou Malnatis for dinner if it were me... lol

Wow the timing for your post couldn't be better for me! How inspiring! I used to LOVE step aerobics (oh am I showing my age...) because it felt like dancing rather than exercise. I HATE anything that is just stationary that includes sweating. lol Love that you didn't give up and tried different things and found your…

Congratulations on your 70# loss--that is amazing! You really have a tight window to stay within to feel healthy. My mom is T2 is says she feels awful if she's below 110. I think she'd have a stroke if she heard I was in the 40's today....
-
BTW... I am stealing that and adding that category to my profile!
-
That was great advice--thank you! I think 38 actually was the lowest I've ever been--WOO HOO! hahahaha That is just messed up low! I almost always forget to just turn off the pump when lows like that happen but of course when you're brain isn't functioning how are you gonna remember to do that?!
-
All of the above.
-
You mean you don't grab a handful of chalky glucose tabs to bring it back up instead of a candy bar? For shame! I just told someone it's almost like you're having an out of body experience while you're shoving the food in and then you come to when your sugars start to stabilize and look down to see the crumbs all…

Thanks for the support! I am really sorry yours has progressed to that level. I think had I been younger when diagnosed I may have poo-pooed the dr.s when they warned me about what could happen if I didn't take care of myself. I was diagnosed in my early 30's and trying to have a baby so from day 1 I was all over it. There…

Oh I soooo know what you mean about balancing exercise--I have to completely disconnect my pump just to walk my dogs or I end up all low sugar stupid. lol I have a friend who tries to talk me into doing Zumba with her but I am way too afraid--something high-energy/high-aerobic will for sure send me into a coma. I'm…
