^^^ THIS! and if you can maintain self-control to get ALL the chips into the dough without eating a handful OR the cookie dough you deserve a big high ^5!

Bump- I think I'll sub unsweetened almond milk and use reg flour, found low sodium baking powder. ANY place I can drop the sodium is a PLUS for me.

Read your labels and replace items containing High Fructose Corn Syrup with ones that do NOT have it in. Yes- I KNOW there's a controversy over it, but since I don't HAVE to ingest it, I opt NOT to- can always find stuff withOUT it or do without. I buy the groceries in the house and my spouse eats what I buy- he hasn't…

yeah, that works ok for poultry but not for ground chuck and steaks.

I have had much success by doing this: Exercises for Double Chin Everyone can correct the form and size of their chin by doing facial exercises. The secret of these exercises is that they strengthen the muscles, lift the skin and reduce under-chin fat. When you do these exercises regularly, that is once or twice daily, you…

the fact that you managed to cut your binge short(er) than usual is a major victory. and the fact that you even CARE- how long ago was it that you probably didn't even care? Congratulations for seeking ways to counter these temptations before the next one unexpectedly hits....... the best thing to do is be honest with…

I know ENGLISH because I learned the alphabet and can repeat a few words/phrases.... [pet peeve when someone lists SIGN w/ this same idea...oh I know Sign] Personally, I'm not even sure I'd say I know ENGLISH (or at least speak it fluently) after 50 some years because I still confuse people with what I say-

Someone else said AWARENESS of this is a BIG VICTORY. I am STILL an emotional eater, and I suppose as long as I'm STILL breathing, I will face this obstacle the rest of my life. HOWEVER, the stronger I've become, the more victories under my belt, the greater I realize I ALWAYS have a choice to allow or not allow my…

The quantity isn't a specific number, it's the lack of self control that makes it a binge for me. And I can't think of ONE time where I've craved and consumed massive amounts of healthy foods indulged and felt remorseful over it. Somehow Broccoli just doesn't hold the same sway over me that chocolate does.

IF it helps with analogies-( to share with your husband), liken your journey and the food & exercise diary ( keeping track of your intake/outtake- exercise) to keeping track of your finances w/ a checkbook register. Who doesn't find that ESSENTIAL? Stay strong on your journey, and just keep encouraging him. The VISIBLE…

I went thru my entire list of things( including just about EVERYthing you listed and all the other replies) I've tried- to no avail- with my Dr. She just shook her head in disbelief............. FINALLY had my thyroid checked....THAT was the culprit all along. Seems it also controls bowel functions- WHO KNEW?! Something to…

DROOL........

I liken keeping my food diary like keeping track of my $funds$ in my checkbook register. and my scale's like my GPS when I'm traveling- gets me back on track if I stray off course.

YEPPERS! Been in* maintenance mode* for about 8 months and although I don't always log everything in my food diary ( just quick add my allotted daily calories over the weekends) I do @ least log in every day and keep tabs on everyone else who's in this with me. I've found that sodium is my nemesis, so I like to keep track…

I HIGHLY recommend flushing out your sinuses w/ a nasal (neti ) pot. They sell them @ the store, or you can even use a sports bottle w/ a pop up type lid, make your own saline solution w/ non iodized salt and water. Check out youtube to find HOW to use them. Along w/ any medications you might find, this will LITERALLY beat…

I've learned MUCH about myself in this journey. And keeping MYSELF teachable is *key* I won't even say I REFUSE to give up_______ because there MIGHT come a time when I must. IF I can't be victorious over it, and it causes me to stumble, then *it* MUST go. But until then, I hold everything lightly in one hand. I have NO…

in all seriousness, look into a doctor advised colon cleansing = like you'd do for a colonscopy- and stick w/ PROVEN, SAFE measures to achieve the same desired results. Don't attempt anything without your doctor's consent. IF your overall health is your MAIN concern, not strictly YET ANOTHER fast weight loss gimmick.

Brew a pot, drink it and then eat the grounds instead. Added fiber.

didn't have to SNEAK out, no one was ever home to realize I never went to school..... I played hookey QUITE frequently ( see what happens when BOTH parents work so much they're oblivious to the kids???  ) but became so proficient @ forging my mother's signature that I wrote my own excuses too.... and I could…

WOW! What an accomplishment! Anyone who aims for a lifestyle change ought to realize that it lasts an entire LIFETIME. And although we learn ways to avoid and overcome temptation(s), they never go away. Not trying to be a killjoy, but I think that's one of the reasons many get discouraged. They believe the end goal is the…

I love being able to keep track of other things, including sodium- which is a HUGE factor for me now. And although I don't always log everything anymore ( I've been @ maintenance since Dec. 2011) From the time I joined till I made my goal, I did log EVERYthing....It was quite an education to realize those *hidden*…

[sigh] I will NEVER understand this....what does interracial mean anyhow? Only ONE race as far as God's concerned....the HUMAN race.

just a suggestion for you grown ups- don't share your nutella w/ the little ones. It's a rite of passage for responsible adults, just like driving, drinking, voting. BTW, do some goggle searches and make your own nutella or at least tweak some healthy low sugar/sodium peanut butter, dk cocoa powder and sweetener of…

Hunger is a wonderful motivator. And, to be honest, your kitchen shouldn't be a cafeteria. Set a reasonable am't of time on a timer, and if the meal you've prepared for your child isn't eaten by the time it's buzzing, remove the plate and that's the last opportunity he/she has to eat till breakfast. No snacks, not making…

I hit 520 today. Ha- guess I'm still just a newbie. cuz I'm STILL learning. In maintenance, but realizing it's an ongoing part of the learning-how-to-live-healthier-but still-live lifestyle. Glad to have friends who are further in this journey, ones right alongside me, and ones to encourage when they're tempted to give up.…
