OK, so I've always been a *sucker* for the TV ads.....new gadgets to try out......
some are winners, some are a waste of $

Years ago I bought a Miracle Thaw defrosting tray.....didn't work, until I got the idea
to put a heating pad under it.....set it on LOW........

works like a charm every time.
(Yes, I know microwaves work too, but I like to do it the old fashioned way- where I don't cook part of it in the process)

in a pinch, I also use my cast iron skillet......
But I suppose any skillet would work???? it's simply something to hold in the heat..........

just passin' the tip onto my friends............

    You know you can just fill your sink with room temp water and soak whatever it is for 20-30 min right? It's the safest way to do it short of letting things thaw in the refrigerator (which never seems to work for me...)

    yeah, that works ok for poultry but not for ground chuck and steaks.
