Thanks for all the responses!

Well when I thaw the chicken, I squeeze out all the excess liquid I can because I know it's loaded with sodium.

I have a 20 month old daughter. No way in hell she eats anywhere even close to 1200 calories and the doc says she's perfectly healthy. I have a son, also, and at two years old, he was not eating that many calories, either. And when you say "average female"... what is average? I see this statement a lot, and I would just…

I weigh my meat and produce and use the usda listing, as someone else mentioned. I don't weigh things that come in single serving sizes such as loaf bread, yogurt, sliced cheese, etc. I use measuring cups for liquids.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you that yours takes!

Totally understandable! I eat out every weekend. My tip is to look up the nutritional info before you ever leave home and log it. I've not had any trouble resisting when I already know what I can have because it's logged already. Also, makes things easier because I don't have to look at the menu and be tempted by the…

I have noticed (by weighing everyday) that sodium plays a HUGE factor in my weight loss! When I have more than usual, I can gain a pound or two of water weight overnight. This signals to me that I need to up my water intake for the next several days to try to get that back down. Also, upping the intensity of my exercise…

I had the essure procedure done, too. Unfortunately, it didn't block my tubes like it was supposed to. Grr! Had to have the copper IUD placement to ensure I don't get pregnant. :/

Exactly this.

I started at 200 pounds, and I've lost 21 pounds in 54 days.

I am on the copper IUD, Paragard. No hormones, so it doesn't affect my ability to lose weight at all. I've been on the depo provera shot at two different times in my life, and I gained a LOT of weight while on that. ETA: The last time I was on depo provera, I counted calories religiously and exercised 5 days a week and…

I weigh myself every day and record it on a separate app, but I only record my weight on Mondays on MFP. My mindset is a little different from yours, I think. I made my "official" weigh-in day on Monday to give me extra incentive to make wise choices on the weekends (also my hardest days). I weigh myself every day so I can…

There are bullies and then there are those who genuinely want to help. I've received helpful advice in the forums and I've also received accusations of various things. I suspect it will be this way EVERY time I ask a question in the forums. So now... if I'm in an emotional state of mind that I can't handle the bullies,…

This is definitely a case of YOUR body not responding well to the meds or possibly something else irrespective of the meds. I took Celexa for over 4 years and during that time I lost over 30 pounds.

Vodka with cranberry juice. Yum!

My fix was Coca-Cola. I drank it for many years against the doctor's advice. I guess I just started drinking more water with sugar-free drink mixes like Crystal Light because it was way less calories and easy to go over my calorie goal if I have even one Coke a day. It really wasn't even a conscious decision, which really…

Ah, ok. I just tried it on the computer, too, to see what you were dealing with. You are right. From the computer, you can only add and delete ingredients, change the recipe name, and change the number of servings. You cannot change the amount listed in each ingredient from the computer. I'm very sorry. You CAN do it from…

Yes, you can edit the amounts in a recipe without having to delete it and re-enter it. I do it all the time. If you are using the computer, go to recipes, then click on whatever recipe you wanted to edit and edit it. If you are using the phone app, go to settings. Then, go to edit foods and exercises. Then edit recipes,…

Fresh or frozen veggies should have little to no sodium. Anything that comes in a can (except fruit) is WAY high in sodium, so better off to buy fresh/frozen veggies. Use swiss or mozzarella instead of cheddar cheese, saves a little sodium. Salt can be removed from any recipe except from those containing yeast. Use orange…

This is me to a T. I also log my dinner calories first so I know what I have to work with the rest of the day.

This is what I did with my son and he was fully trained in 3 days, except we used popsicles instead of reese's cups. The extra fluids made my son have to go pee more often. So he got in a lot of practice, and practice made perfect. Also, we didn't do pull-ups or anything like that. He just wore the flimsy terry-cloth…

You're all welcome. I am making the Parmesan Crusted Tilapia tonight.. I can hardly wait! I love it!

I have a soda stream. I used to use it all the time, but since I've started trying to live a healthier lifestyle, I've actually put it away in the back of the cabinet. While soda does serve to hydrate, it also has high levels of sugar, acid, stuff that does damage to my body besides my waistline. Have you given any thought…

I love this comeback! To the point and *should* shut them up. And yes, I would totally block their texts and such.

I was going to say the same thing. I used to manage a Subway and we got all our produce locally, including lettuce heads, delivered 2-3 times a week as we needed it. Their wheat bread is wheat bread. It's not white bread with dye in it. And of course Subway is going to have processed foods! Is there anyone here that didn't…
