  • It is so in vogue now! My friends juice, and I hate doing it. I love fresh fruits and vegetables, and I eat a lot of both. If I do juice things at all, I don't like to add sweets to them; I like them savory. Cucumbers, spinach, that sort of thing. I am not fond of protein powder either, that seems like a highly processed…
  • I am starting to see the wisdom of weighing every day. I have to admit that when I gained 22 pounds between September and February, I never weighed myself at all. I was eating junk and drinking too much. I guess I didn't really want to know how much I weighed. While I am losing weight now, it feels great to step on the…
  • For the first week, that's okay to have such low calories. But I hope you increase your calories soon. I have been on Phentermine for two months now. To me, losing 20 pounds in two months is pretty amazing. But in order to have enough energy to work out and just to live, I need to have around 1200 calories at least, per…
  • I have been on it for two months, and I have lost 20 pounds. I am 5'1 and am at 142 now. This is not my first time taking it, so I knew what to expect. This is much more weight than I have lost before on Phen. Reason being that I am working out a lot, and plugging my calories in here. It makes a world of difference to know…
  • Exactly what Lanakat said. I am losing about two pounds a week. I am 5'1. I started out at 162 on February 4th. Now I am 142. A lot of it is due to plugging in my calories here, and doing Zumba two or three times a week, and my exercise bike for an hour two or three times a week. I am learning to do weight training too.…
  • I never tried WalMart, but I have gotten it filled at Walgreens and CVS. Can't tell the difference. But one thing I can tell you. The 37.5 ones (Adipex) don't work nearly as well as the 30 mg. (generic Phentermine) ones do. I get the 30 mg., and they are either yellow capsules or blue and white capsules. If you can get…
  • I've taken Phentermine (Adipex) three or four times. I started this time on February fourth. The first time I ever took it, I couldn't sleep for about three days. I felt really "wired". The dry mouth lasted a bit longer.I think I got used to it, because I don't get side effects anymore. I took it in the morning, at least…
  • You guys are doing fantastic, so close to your goals! I am 5'1, and all my clothes are falling off of me. I tried on a Size 12 in jeans. I thought they fit, but when I got home they were way too baggy. I can't believe I can probably fit into a Size 10. I haven't been that small in years. My goal is a Size 8 and a Medium…
  • So many great ideas! I read the blog post about a maintenance plan. That really sounds like a great idea. I am formulating my maintenance plan now. As so many of you have said, I too have lost weight, then gained it all back. No more! For the first time in my life, I am going to have a maintenance plan. Part of it will be…
  • Hah! Professional Yo-yo-er! I am embarrassed to say that's on my resumé too! Anyone old enough to remember the old Duncan YoYo commercials? There actually were YoYo professionals!! There might even still be. So sick of this, I don't ever want to have to diet again!
  • Idoj, I tried looking at that site you mentioned and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me!
  • You have some great ideas here! Keep it going, and we all should figure it out. What is really scary for me is how fast I gained it back. I got down to 140 in September of 2013. In five months I gained 22 pounds to get up to the 162 I started here with. I am seeing a diet doctor now, and she wants me to lose 10 more pounds…
  • I think if I bought those silly bags of 100 calories stuff, I would say "Oh, it's only 100 calories, so I can have two."
  • I eat raw almonds every day! I count them, and use 7 calories each. I think they are very filling. Sometimes I mix them with dried cranberries. But when I am really hungry and want something that makes me full right away I keep hard boiled eggs in the fridge.
  • Nik, I never really worked on maintenance before. I lost weight, then started eating badly and gained it back. This time I want to learn how to keep these good eating and exercise habits. I think plugging my food and exercise in here helps a lot. But I don't know how long I can keep doing it. I can't imagine still doing it…
  • Wow, that's a good prescription plan! My prescription insurance plan, Medco, never paid for it. What prescription plan do you have? You should feel better in a few days. The not wanting to eat thing doesn't last long. It lasts about as long as not being able to sleep. If you stop taking it and start again a few months…
  • Thanks for these! I have Power 90 DVDs in the house, and some other Tony Horton ones, but I think those are too hard for me; not sure if Chalean is harder, will check it out. Whoever suggested Fitness Blender, thank you! I did the Tank Top Workout which is only 10 minutes, and part of the Upper Arms, Back, and Chest ones…
  • What some other people said on here sounds right. Your symptoms really don't sound like you are hypo or hyper thyroid. I wonder if you can go to a different doctor and get complete blood work done. Have you seen an Endocrinologist? That might be the first step if you weren't seeing a specialist. By the way, I personally…
  • Oh wow, your last Phen? I hated when that happened last time. I had one more refill on my prescription, so I thought everything was fine. It turned out the prescription was only good for a few months, so it had expired! I had gotten the prescription from my regular doctor. When I went back, he wouldn't write me another…
  • Great advice! Okay here's my story, be prepared! I signed up for eHarmony. Most of the guys they selected for me were not even interesting enough to talk to on the phone. After being on eHarmony for a month I had enough and wanted to quit. One day, I was traveling, and had just boarded a plane. I was struggling to put my…
  • Another good thing about it is if I see a drop in pounds and my clothes feeling looser, it is motivating! Without Phen I tend to lose 1/2 pound a week. Losing faster is much more motivating for me. So I started exercising more, and eating healthier.
  • Question: Do you have to be in maintenance for the rest of your life? I haven't reached my goal yet, but I have gotten close to my goal, then gained it all back a few times. I would like to learn about maintenance in advance, so I can stay healthy and fit this time.
  • Fitness Blender looks easy enough form me! And I checked out Fitloop, thanks for the link. I can definitely do the beginner workout. I also like the little videos of each exercise. Thanks eveyone!
  • And the 1100 - 1300 is after subtracting your workout calories. You had 500 or so for Zumba today so that would mean you should eat 1600 to 1900 to make the calories you doctor told you. Something strange happened to me. I had a total pigout day for the first time since I started taking Phen. I thought that would mess up…
  • I found more weights that I forgot I have -- 3 pound and 5 pound and 20 pound.
  • I just found some stuff on You Tube by Fitness Blender. These look like they might be beginner level? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=go8rGQro3dY
  • I have 1 pound and 2 pound weights. Can I do things without weights, say wall push ups, crunches, that sort of thing? I really am a beginner, I don't think I am good enough to do Jillian Michaels.
  • Oops, I see I should have posted this in the exercise board, sorry!
  • Yes! It really worked for me. I found a podcast with music. It has a different one for each day of the workout. The music isn't that great but I like the guys voice. If you want the podcast I can upload to dropbox for you if you message me.
  • Running Amok, that article http:///www.huffingtonpost.com/sophia-herbst/1200-calories_b_4816597.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000046 IS really good! Thanks for posting the link.
