Lots of cheesecake recipes online. I am sure biscotti too. I pinned some keto friendly cheesecake recipes last week. Now I just have to make one.

We are just going to assume that when eating fruit and desserts on LCHF you are eating within your limits. Whether you had coconut flour in your pantry before or after doesn't matter. ...and I think that us eating low carb are smart enough to realize we are not talking about the typical grocery store brought baked…

Oh good, so I'm reading right! and I do a hell of a lot of reading on this stuff sheesh my head is going to pop off! Also good to know, since I am new at following this keto thing. I have done atkins but that was like 10 years ago and a lot has changed.
-
Well no one said anything about going to eat an orange, but you can have fruit, ice cream, and other desserts while on keto.
-
You are not the only one, but sometimes you just have to say no or make another choice. What is the problem with carbs though? I used to eat a ish load of carbs and still lose weight. If you love them that much then just try to decrease your intake slowly. Not like you really need to unless you have a medical condition or…

Thanks, but I barely even eat fruit when not low carbing. I was just trying to make a point that it is okay to have it in moderation on LCHF. I only miss pizza!! Trying to make one just won't compare to a good NY pie :(
-
tell me about it!

This was my other thought. I follow the reddit/keto boards and I always read that anything under 50 g of carbs as long as it fits is fine. I mean unless it interferes with your goals. Or if you are lower in carbs. Idk this low carb stuff is giving me a headache, but I have no gastric issues right now so I shall stick with…

I am not eating fruit either as I am trying to stick to 20 grams right now, but it is still fine to eat fruit while on LCHF. I just assume you are saying it like it is not allowed. ...but I gotcha
-
Well yeah I totally get that, but it would clearly be eaten in moderation to not go over x amount of carbs right? IDK I must be missing something, but to me the repetition of "fruit" in the post makes it seem like it is off limits. That was my assumption as to why it keeps being said. And lucky you!!
-
I have a Polar FT7 and love it
-
I am not understanding what that person is getting at either but you keep mentioning the fruit thing, but fruit can be eaten on a LCHF. Not all fruit, but fruit can be eaten. I am not sure why you keep mentioning fruit like it is off limits or someone is not LCHF when eating it. *shrugs*

Other than being overweight from giving birth, I have only ever been 20 lbs overweight. Nothing more. It did take me a good 4 years to lose my baby weight. I was 80 lbs overweight. Never diet or exercised ever prior to that. I was 18 when pregnant, so really didn't think about those things. I didn't have any excuses I had…

OP clearly said they prefer low carb. Let it be.
-
What makes it better than fast food? I can get a burger from a fast food joint and still have room for snacks. I hit my protein and fat goal. (i'm not focused on carbs) I can still stick with my caloric intake for the day. Hell when I was not eating low carbs, I could still get a burger and fries and meet macro goals while…

http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group Here you go the LCD launchpad has some great information for low carb eating. That link will end up here anyway, so go take a look.

What are you arguing here? What is the point of your post in reference to this thread?
-
It isn't necessary nor sustainable. Also a protein shake is not a meal replacement. Eat food and count calories.
-
I agree. I don't see pizza as fast food. It takes 45 minutes to an hour for it to hit my door. That is not fast at all.
-
What makes any of these weird? They all seem normal to me.
-
Well I do keto now for medical reasons. I love it and never thought I would. I'm a low carber that believes in CICO.
-
....and this thread was going so good
-
CICO still applies, however you have a medical condition and now restrict with lower carbs. You are still eating at a caloric deficit.
-
Everyone is different, but I started eating keto recently and I have not had any flare ups. Taking a few days to adjust, but after that symptoms were gone. Everyone is different though. That is just what works for me now.
-
Good idea. OP if you cannot find any recipes that omit fat than just use less of it. If for calorie purposes. It is okay to use butter and oil.
-
To me the bolded is the issue. You are 65 lbs over weight and your daughter is underweight. Wouldn't you think it is causing bad/unhealthy eating habits? Also you are going to get the opinions since you brought it up in your OP.
-
I love Kellog's actually the Vanilla one, but I go for golden grahams, captain crunch berries or reeses puff's!! Eat whatever cereal you love and make it fit :)
-
Absolutely. My son's only choice is every Friday night and when mommy is too tired to cook. Other than that he has no choices unless he is paying my bills.
-
Totally agree with this. I was just trying to hold back my thoughts, but you said what I was thinking.
