Breakfast 7.30am Small lunch 1: 10am-12am (If I want it, I often don't have it). This is when I am out and on the go walking so I either get very hungry or not hungry at all. I allow the space for the meal though. Small lunch 2: (12am - 4pm (This is when I am most hungry and am liable to snack, particularly after 3.30pm…

That's a difficult question - how long is a [piece of string? We all lose (and put on) weight at different rates and lose is in different areas which may show better in clothes than other areas. It took me about 20lbs loss before I really noticed a difference. If you had less to lose than I did then you'll notice sooner…

Thank you I wish they did that for the UK menu! That would be so helpful x

I totally forgot to say there's a group three which is to add a tiny piece of something they have never tried before or have only recently tried. It takes many tries of a food for a child to accept it as 'nice' so this is a good way to introduce, for example, cucumber (one slice cut into 4 pieces). Three years old is a…

One each from group 1 and group 2: Group 1: Half a sandwich made with one slice of bread, low fat spread (or butter if that is your will), ham or cheese. Cut into three or four pieces. Breadsticks (Grissini). Baked cheese biscuits. Cream crackers. Cheese cubes. Ham roll-ups. A fromage frais or yogurt pot (to dip into with…

It sounds like you simply need to add a zero to what your watch is saying you have burned. But I don't know why that would be!

I've been in the early mid 200's. I didnt start Zumba until recently (at 160lbs or a bit more) but I think it might be suitable. Zumba might be hard on your knees but you could modify it (and any dancing activity) - no jumps, low-impact. There are 20 minute versions of the routines for first set of Zumba dvds and on the…

:explode: If they don't carry sports bras where you are checking next have you tried 'double bra-ing' it? No underwires, otherwise this wont work. Also a good sturdy bra underneath a sports top with a built in support mesh could work.

Keep an eye on it: My bet is it won't last longer than a few days before she at least stops if not has to take time off work because she falls ill. Some people do this for attention: She's a UK size 14 (normal) so it must be a new thing for her probably prompted by magazine headlines about 'summer ready bodies'. Ignore…

With your bosses permission, stick a note on the water cooler that says something like: If this water cooler needs to be changed, please either change it or go ask (and then list the people who are willing to do it). If the 'change' isn't happening after this ask yourself, do I need the stress of worrying what this stick…

:frown: aww. Weight loss is slow in your forties and beyond, I do know that. A lot of people are going to say you should be eating more. Some are going to say you need to eat a bit less carbohydrate and replace those calories with proteins. Some are going to say exercise at a higher intensity or try a different exercise…

I reckon you could do it doing some craaaazy celebrity diet... but then would you want the loose skin that you'd also get from so much weight lost so soon? 1200 cal diet plus exercise (lots of toning to lose inches) and eating at least some exercise cals imo. Good luck x Edited to add: You're 11 stone 9? How tall? Im only…

How old is your daughter? Mine (aged 6) and my son (aged 4) and ME (aged 33) LOVE Just Dance 2. We bought our Wii this weekend and I also got Zumba - which is totally awesome as well. If yours comes with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resorts those are also pretty good fun too

^^ And it's great to see you still here! Looking at your diary your exercise calories are very high usually which would make it very hard to eat them back as you've been advised. But then I don't know what kind of calories your exercise regime *should* be burning for a person with your vitals  I hope someone can…

It's disappointing that weight loss is so slow the healthy way. I tell myself that the weight didn't go on quickly so it shouldn't come off quickly either. Also I want a minimum amount of slack skin to remain once I'm a healthy weight and the slowly does it method is helping with that for sure. Do you have lots of weight…

Your picture shows you with a cute little kid: Are you sure your activity setting is correct? If you are running around after a child most of the day it's likely you aren't sedentary, you are at least active. x
-
Also, if you are still hungry on the calories you have for your goal (assuming your goal doesnt need to be changed) are you more active than you think? Perhaps you have your activity level set at sedentary when you're more active than that?

Perhaps 150 kcals if you honestly left the cheese and ciabata. Well done for leaving it - I LOVE love love Zizzi and really wouldnt have been able to resist which is why my friend and I only go out for lunch once a month
-
I read the whole post and agree with the vast majority of what you have said. However, my concern is that, as it is a long post, what some people will read is 'it's ok to eat only 800 kcals a day', and in this you are giving them permission to continue a diet which is unhealthy for them. You say that marketing people…

I hope it works better for you :flowerforyou: I've lost a little over 10 pounds in (I think) 55 days. That's a bit over the pound a week I'm supposed to be losing so it's working great for me - I wish you the same success or even better!

I think mine is just called 'Pedometer' there's a free version of it which I tried first. I just searched the app store for free ones, liked this one so bought the full version for not very much money at all (a couple of ££s) That's such a shame you cant download apps! Really defeats the point of having a smartphone - I'd…

Do you have a smartphone like an iphone or a phone that can use apps? Because there's an app for that

Apple, pear, carrot and ginger - cannot be beaten for a homemade smoothie :) **Lays down the gauntlet**

I love Billy Blanks - used one of his Videos in the VHS days, and have an old dvd form 2001 that's also brilliant. I've started his Boot Camp and brought it into the mix one or two days a week. He kicks your butt!

I feel the same way sometimes: I lost a lot of weight pretty steadily before I joined MFP and my last 25 pounds is going s.l.o.w.l.y. Some small things you can try to change from what I've read on these boards that might help: Change your workout routine - I was walking LOTS - I've replaced a little of my walking with…

Having been swimming this week for the first time in years I noticed one clever thing that one of the curvier ladies wore to swim in. She had on a normal swimming costume but had a pair of plain coloured mens swim shorts over the top. The shorts were slazenger and I know they were mens because I bought a pair exactly the…

However it 'just works' the only real solution is to make changes to the situation. If, while in their home, your parents are paying for the food and bills, and preparing all the food, I'm sorry to say their rules go! But there's no reason why you can't discuss making your portion sizes smaller to suit your goals. If they…
