The 10 things I hate about being fat 10. Feeling like if I wore shorts and a tank top and happened into walmart, I MAY end up on the "peopleofwalmart.com" 9. Sweating for no apparent reason/having sensitivity to any heat 8. Tiring out so quickly, not keeping up with the kids 7. Always feeling tired..and in constant need of…

Never really looked into it, but I've heard that reduced carb diets seem to help relieve pain from PCOS....so maybe doc was thinking along those same lines?!

I cant remember where I read it, but a suggestion to see if its truly hunger is to drink a glass of water, wait 15-20 minutes and it the feeling is still there, then its hunger....maybe that will help

I really enjoy yoga! I do it once a week on fridays, and it works out perfectly as I get to end the week w/ a great stretch on sore muscles. It also gives me a quiet hour to focus on my body (to listen to the aches and pains, to see how a small adjustment makes all the difference in the world and most of all to just clear…

Ugh! Challange SW 225.6 CW 231.2 I'm still figuring out what works best for me...and coming off Atkins has done a number on me. But I think I have a better handle on it now, and I'm working towards making smarter decisions. Hope everyone else is having better sucess!

Not sure how much pain you are having, or if its an ache that can be fought through...but I love zumba, I love it because it is so much fun it kind of takes your mind off the aches and pains, and leaves you with the good fatigued muscle feeling. I've also had luck w/ recumbent bicyling..it helps to lessen the pressure…

Ack Now I am even more confused....I thought I had it figured out but was douting the numbers, and now I doubt my numbers even more.... 37yo, height 5'3 weight =234 and was given BMR of 1755 and TDEE of 3263 (taking 20% off and rounding it to 2600) I used http://www.health-calc.com/diet/energy-expenditure-advanced and did…

We all start somewhere! Just keep after it!!! Pedal through out the day if you can/must, and don't be to hard on yourself. Instead of going all out when starting back up, maybe start at a more leisurely pace while your getting back into the swing of things....going to intense to quick will lead to injury or quit.

I have a different polar product the polar rs300x...I use it for zumba, indoor beach volleyball, and yoga (i've even used it while disco dancing cleaning)...I'm thinking the features are very similar, and it doesn't need constant cardio, the monitor constantly monitors your heart rate and comes to conclusion on the amount…

If the goal you set is with in healthy range, keep going for it. Some people just need to finds something negative about every situation. If I (me personally not speaking for anyone else) stopped ahead of my goal because of people's poorly thought out comments, I think I would have regret and eventually hostility towards…

Mule - I appreciate your feedback. I will kick this around in my head for a little bit. I currently just judge being on the right path by how my clothes are fitting, etc. I agree about the impact of the scale staring you in the face, but sometimes I get overly anxious when the numbers dont drop as quickly as I might…

The charm bracelet is a great idea!!!! then you can always track your journey, and keep it as a motivation momento when you reach goal to keep you from re-gaining.

OO...I have to revisit my reward list....I did it in % increments and started with smaller things, and built them up the closer I got to goal....I had it all planned out (last time I was in the weight loss game) but I haven't done it this time. Thanks for the reminder! A mani/pedi is always a nice treat!

Are weekly weigh ins required? I feel like I can quickly become obcessed w/ the scale, and I am trying to avoid that as much as possible....is month weigh in ok?

Doh! I'm a day behind!!! But I will make em up today or split the 20 between today and tomorrow. Tomorrow is hopefully zumba (if my back cooperates) and that evil teacher incorperates a good 20-30 over the course of an hour, not to mention putting us in squats and then fake filing her nails or whistling *grrr*...usually I…

I think this look is appropriate for the bar and for the backyard bbq. I could understand your husbands objection if his friends are ultra conservative (they could be a little judgy of the look). As a 38 year old women, I have never been offended or jealous or any other nonsense about ones ability to pull off a look…

I set my exercise goal to 340 minutes this week....I really hope to get there, but I got kinda lazy and busy on monday and tuesday. One of my favorite treats that can be office friend is Taco Dip...use reduced or fat free ingredients (and the taco seasoning helps cover that) complete with veggies on top. Offer if with some corn chips, and maybe some additional veggies (i love to dip celery or cucumbers in this)

Ha...and by the by, my hubby was eating a roll and mashed potatos and stuffing in front of my face yesterday...all full of carbs and currently a no no on my "diet". I didn't realize that I was staring at the roll as he was eating it.....he said I was oogling it like it was the sexiest thing in the world. HA HA....it was,…

Be the one to start the trend!!!! My co-worker inspired me to make the change, and we have held each other accountable at work. Now more co-workers have turned to MFP, so the healthier attitude is spreading and making it even easier. There are still those that bring in sweets and other goodies, and taunt me (al beit…

I think really it boils down to..are you going to put in the work? If you're committed to weight loss/gaining health then there are plenty of things outside of a gym that can be done for free, nearly free, or are covered under something your already paying for (ie: internet, cable, etc). You tube has a ton of work out…

Oh and as far as other videos...I did slim in 6 a few years back (its by beach body, and I dont even know if its still for sale retail) but I enjoyed that....it was a cardio work out that incorperated pilates and yoga into it it was like a 45 minute work out that left you feeling a little taxed but good.

I have never personally tried DDP yoga, but I have heard others having great sucess with it. As previously posted, check you tube for various yoga work outs, see how well you like doing it before spending money on something you might hate!! Also, if you have digital cable (at least time warner cable) has a work out on…

Im trying anything in the world I can think of...I just order a polar heart rate monitor that I am super stoked about....... I'm thinking seeing my heart rate through out the day will help motivate me to get to the gym to see if i can hit my targets rates, how long I can sustain it. I also found this which may help OP and…

I thought that if you talked the people on TV would hear you..... So during the Phil Donahue show I sat very quietly as not to interrupt his interviews... Come to think of it...I should use this on my kiddos :)
