I am 5'1" and I also have a hard time picturing myself at any sort of ultimate goal weight I may have. I started at 181 and am down to 166 currently but my next goal is to get to 159. After I hit that I'm thinking maybe 149-145. I have a very small frame and I can tell my body wants me to be thinner based on the size of my…

I'm 5'1 but I think i'm allowed to reply ;) I started at 181 in the first full week of August and have lost 14 lb in 7 weeks. Ive been eating 1200 cal a day and doing 40-60 minutes of cardio 4-6 days a week. I log absolutely everything I eat so I have a really good idea of if I'm actually eating 1200 cal or cheating. I…

This post made me laugh! I'm glad to hear your reaching your goals! I can't wait till the day I'm just plain old overweight and not obese. =D

I don't have any pictures yet and I'm no where near done but I'm 5'1" and I started on MFP at 181. In 7 weeks I lost 14lbs so I'm down to 167 now. My next goal is 160 then from there I will see... maybe 149 just so I can say I broke the 140's. ;) I did it by eating a low calorie diet with few carbs, a lot of vegetable and…

The main reason I want a HRM is for the calorie counting so that monitor would not work for me. But that you for the suggestion.

Like I said above the Polar is kind of out of my price range... I thought maybe I had it on TOO tight but I don't know if that can happen? It was completely flat all around and pushed it right up under my boobs. I see some suggestions to moisten it under the faucet... I might try that before I completely give up hope and…

Sounds defective to me too. I was just wondering if maybe I was using it wrong. I guess maybe my only hope here is to return/ exchange it and try again.

I've read a lot about he Polar HRMs but the price even for the FT4 is just too high for me... I think maybe if I can't get thing one to work and I save up some money I'll try the Polar but for now its just not in my range unfortunately. I know HRM are really good for making sure I am accurately logging so I just wish this…

I know my heart rate should be way higher while working out because my normal resting rate is around like 78-80 I think. I have everything entered correctly and honestly unless I was like a 99 year old woman I don't think the heart rate reading would be so off because of incorrect age or whatever. Thanks for the…

I did wet it a lot. I did just that, wet my hand, then the strap. And I wet it continuously while working out because I thought maybe it had dried out... I was alone in my basement while using it so I don't know that there was any interference.

So far I've only lost 14 lb in about a month and a half but what I've done is keep a very accurate calorie log and make sure that I was eating when I'm actually hungry and not just because I'm bored. I've also been doing about 30-40 minutes of walking at a pretty moderate pace as many days a week as I can (usually 4-6).…

Woah this is amazing! Congrats of your clothes getting too big! Time to go shopping right?

I usually log every single thing the best I can especially candy even if its just one square of chocolate. Even taking a bite of a candy bar can add up the calories and throw you off. You'll only be doing yourself a disservice by not logging diligently.

Thank you for the advice. I guess I will just have to see what weight I am happiest at.

Woah thats an amazing transformation! I don't know if I'll ever hot 125 but it looks to me like the 140's isn't too bad to aim for. Thanks for the pics.

I loooove when people ask me this because I used to be one of those people who always asked everyone else their secret. Now I'm on the other side and I realize there is no secret! Just work hard and control your portions. and of course you keep up the amazing work (41lb down is GREAT!).
