I don't consider any food to be a "cheat". I treat myself to what I want, fitting it into my daily caloric goals. I have pizza, chocolate, etc. I just a make sure to track it and try to eat healthier meals the rest of the day. I know that if I try to give up the foods I love, this will be an abysmal failure for me. We need…

I workout over my lunch hour, and go to the gym after I get my 3 kids to bed. You just need to make time.

Yes, a few people have said it to me too...and believe me, at 177 at 5'1, I am hardly skinny. I actually still have an Obese BMI. I just smile and say i'm not worried about my losses. That when I get closer to a healthy weight i'll work with my doctor on what weight I should be.

I was in your shoes when I first joined the gym. Was so leary of going into the weight section. For the first while, I went at times when it wasn't too crowded, and I got a few sessions with a trainer to give me some insights on how to use some of the machines. I have to admit, i'm still a bit self-conscious at times, when…

No one else can force you to be motivated. You have to want it yourself. Everyone's lives gets busy, hectic and crazy, and sure we all have times when we can't work out as often as we'd like. But just because you miss some time at the gym, doesn't mean you quit altogether. Get up and go when you can. Make the time. As for…

As the others said, I think your calculations are off. The minimum a woman should eat is 1200 calories. Sorry I don't believe that your caloric needs are below that. Check your #s again.

Amazing! Congratulations to you.

What did you set your MFP goal as? 1 or 2 lbs a week? The 2060 calories you mention MFP gives you seems really high if you have a 1 or 2 lb goal set. How tall are you? I have 1.5 lb per week goal, set at sedentary, and MFP gives me 1200 cals a day. Your 2060 seems really high.

It's funny that your post got flagged :) Yes, I never get the flags on some posts. Just seems random sometimes.

I don't have those thoughts at all, I can only foresee improvements in my marriage based on my weight loss and health improvements. However, I suspect my husband has these fears, that it might negatively affect our relationship and my interest in others.

I don't eat immediately beforehand either, makes me nauseous. Go in with a plan (once you learn the layout). As for machines, I tend to use the circuit for lifting, with free weight periods thrown in. For cardio (if a cardio only day) I spend a little time on them all - 10-15 mins each on bike, step machine, elliptical,…

No plans to gain, hoping to maintain. I'll be having surgery just before Christmas, so my activity level will be nill for a few weeks, but hoping that by eating within my calories, i'll be able to maintain.
