224 lbs (well I got higher then that while pregnant, but 224 was my highest non-pregnancy weight).

Buy a slowcooker. Prep the food the night before, before leaving for work get the slowcooker ready and set the timer. A healthy meal will be waiting for you when you get home. As for activity, walk during lunch. After baby goes to bed, and tidy up time is done, take a half hour to work out either with free weights, body…

I couldn't start at the recommended weights. I'm into it 2 weeks, and i'm still only at 80 lbs for deadlifts (tackling 90 tonight).

I only log specific attempts at exercise - so if I go for a 30-40 minute walk, as my fitness activity for the day, I log it. But routine walking around the house, shopping, work, etc, no I don't track it. I figure it like this - I walked routinely while I was at my heaviest, those steps didn't make me thinner, so i'm not…

Just to throw out there, when I first started weight training, I stopped losing for about 4 weeks, while my body adjusted to the new routine. After that the losses started again, and i'm now having bigger weekly losses then before.

Just want to say you ladies rock. I'm pretty much a beginner, and just started stronglifts Nov 2. Started 5x5 at 30 lb, and as of last night doing 5x5 at 50 lbs. My deadlift is at 80 lbs, and OH press is at 40.

I log every day, and try to keep it honest. I allow myself junk, as treats, and account for it. My diary is open to friends.

I haven't downloaded the update yet. Scared to now :) Did you email them about it? I just looked at the update info and it says if you have any issues with the update to email "support@stronglifts.com"

Use the video you are doing as motivation, as a "before" video. Tell yourself that it will be worth it to look back in a year or two time, when you are at goal or closer to it, to see how far you've come.

I'm 5'1 and get 1200 calories as well. I do eat back my exercise calories though (maybe not all, but I do eat back some)

My stomach. After 3 pregnancies with 3 c-sections, my stomach is horrible. I still look pregnant, and i have a large apron. I seriously doubt it will go away with weight loss or any fitness activities. I suspect surgery will have to be considered down the road.

Go on your own. If he wants to spend his Saturday relaxing in his own way, let him do so. Go yourself, and enjoy the race, that you've spent hours training for. Seriously after fighting like this over it, you both will probably enjoy it more if you go and he stays home. If it was me, I wouldn't enjoy the race now if he…

Awesome, thanks all!

I want to copy AniHam's. Mine are pretty much the same, she just worded them much cooler then I could

No more excuses.

Feel free to add me, my diary is open to my FL. Just don't comment on my junk food :p I plan for and allow for my favorite junk at times, and fit it into my calorie counts when I want a treat.

You CAN do this. Stop looking in the past, you need to focus on getting fit and healthy now. Take it one day at a time.
-
Ditto everyone else. You definitely need to eat more. You aren't going to be able to live on 600-800 calories a day forever. If you don't learn to lose weight, eating healthy, you'll just gain it all back later, once you start eating normally again.

My kids have used the dumbell weights. No heavy weights yet. But my 11 year old is anxious to become old enough to join the gym. When I flexed for him last week, he was shocked "wow mom, you have muscles." Then he goes on to say "if you can get muscles, just imagine what muscles I could get if I joined the gym". LOL.

I'm a 40 year old, working mother of 3 in Canada. I check in and use the forums daily. Will send a friend request.

You didn't have your baby all that long ago. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to workout, or lose the weight right away. Do what you can with eating healthy, and just exercise when you can, or when you aren't too tired.

Wish the forum had a like button :) But I agree, lots of helpful people on here.

WTG, kudos on the 18 lbs! I'm the same. I don't have any before pics. Even though the camera is always out at our house, for pics of the kids, I'm in almost none of them, as I didn't like pics of myself. Now I wish I had taken some. Not only for "before pics", but I realized that when the kids get older I won't have any…

I'm not going to dis your relationship, if your relationship is this way and is consensual and you are happy, then more power to you. As for having him understand, explain the health benefits, and how it will help improve your sex life. If he wants to be involved, lift together. His negativity is based on insecurity. You…

I really don't like setting a timeline on weight loss. It can set you up for failure or disappointment. Just go about your weight loss/fitness journey, without setting a deadline for it, and work hard. Be happy with whatever weight losses you achieve. I hope that doesn't should harsh. I just know that, for me, setting a…
