I personally don't like the words "cheat" day or week. If you track it, and it fits into your daily or weekly calorie counts, go for it. Even if it goes over your calorie counts, is it the end of the world? Not likely. You may just not have a loss this week. I'm all for "everything in moderation". I don't give up any…

I know the pain you feel. I just had my gallbladder removed in May. I was so used to the pain, I couldn't believe how good I felt once it was removed, and I no longer had pain in my side. Wishing you well, hope your test results come back fast, so that you can get the treatment you need to get on the path to being pain…

5'1. Starting weight 224 lbs. Current weight 183. Goal weigh 139, to get into a healthy weight range. Once I reach 139, I'll re-evaluate to see if I need to lose more.

[/b] You are right, that wasn't a fair statement in general. However this is too troll-like, to come on a weightloss/fitness motivation and support board, and call women "heavy chicks" and use the word fatty. It just doesn't sound believable to me anymore. If she is "real", and acts this way around her SO, it says alot…

Love it. Unfortunately with my schedule I can only make it once a week, but love it when I do.
-
Has to be a troll. I don't know any woman that would call another woman a chick.

Don't look at the 187 lbs you have to lose. Set small milestones for yourself. 10 lbs, 20 lbs, etc., and aim for those. That is way less overwhelming than a larger weight. Don't get mad or frustrated at yourself if you have a bad day or bad week, we all have those. Just pick yourself up and move on. I don't think you…

Seriously this person has to be a troll. No way can someone really talk/act this way. If OPs situation is real, and this is how you really do feel, then seriously you need to grow up. Leave your fiance, so he can find someone better. Invest in some mirrors so you can focus on whom you really love, yourself.

I have always just used MFP, but I've noticed such a high discrepancy between MFP and what the machines record, that I've switched to using the machine data. On cardio machines I've started adding my age and weight, so that hopefully the calories burned info that is provided is more accurate.

Hi, I'm Sherry. Just turned 40 a few months ago. I'm a mom to 3 young kids, ages 17 mos, 7 years, and 11 years. I work full time. I started my weight loss journey at the start of February, at 224 lbs. I'm down 41. About 44 more to go to reach a healthy weight. I'll re-evaluate at that time to see if I need to lose more. I…

I think most of us eat junk food at times. While i try to eat healthy most of the time, I do plan for and allow junk as well. I don't know if i'd appreciate a friend commenting every time I ate something they considered unhealthy. Instead of messaging the one friend, why don't you try adding motivational updates to your…

Stretch, LOTS of water, potassium. I felt the same after my last two sessions with my trainer, DOMS was horrible. If nothing else it let me know that the workouts worked :)

Just turned 40 a few months ago. Have 3 young kids, work full time. 41 lbs gone, another 44ish to go. Feel free to add me.

$19/mt, World Gym. Unlimited classes, childcare, sauna, tanning included. Open 24 hours except weekends. They have two locations near me, one close to work, once close to home, that I divide my time between. Definitely worth it for me.

You look great!

That is amazing. Kudos to you on not only starting your weight loss journey, but sticking with it. I know it must have been difficult at times. Just amazing.

Don't let a bad day or two (or three  ) stop your hard work. Bad days don't make you a failure, they make you human. We all have bad days, you just need to brush it off and get back at it again.
-
To reach my goal, I have about 85 lbs+ to lose (from when I started in Feb). I'm down 41 now, so almost half way there. Anyone is free to add me. Losing weight and getting fit isn't easy.

I started at 224. Now 184. About 45 more to go. Feel free to add me.

I've had 3 c-sections. As the other posters said, don't overdo it. You don't want to cause complications in your recovery. My youngest is 16 months old, and i'm soon going to have to go back to fix a hernia, for the 2nd time, that developed at my incision site. I can't say for certain the cause, but I do know that I…

I have lots of reasons - wanting to live long for my kids, be around to watch them grow up, get married and have kids of their own. To be healthy and look good. But the reason I started this journey is because I'm tired of hating how I look, hate having people ask me if i'm pregnant again (when I'm not).

You have to make it a lifestyle change, not a drastic mission to drop the pounds immediately. Do you expect to eat, forever, only 500 calories several days a week? That isn't healthy, nor feasible long term. 1200 is the minimum your body needs to function. Going a little below it occasionally isn't going to hurt, but 500…

Like the others, I have a desk job as well. I either go for a walk over lunch or go to the gym that's nearby. Then in the nights, after I get my 3 kids to bed, I go to the gym again for another hour. You need to make the choice to fit activity into your day, regardless of how sedentary you are at work. Fitting it in isn't…

To be honest, doesn't bother me what anyone wears to work out. As long as you are wearing something, all is good. If it's comfortable, wear them.
-
Seeing someone in PJs wouldn't bother me. But I did see someone at the gym, running on the treadmill, in denim jeans. All I could think was it had to be so uncomfortable/hot. I assumed they forgot their workout clothes at home, and that wasn't their normal attire.
-
Thanks everyone! I've been working out 5-6 days/week, and so far I've been doing weight lifting and cardio on the same days (some days cardio only though).
-
I have about 40 lbs left to lose, but I also need to tone up and build some muscle.

Thanks for the responses!

I've had 3 C-Sections after 3 large babies. My stomach is in pretty bad shape as a result. I'm trying to lose the belly fat, and the bump over the incision sites, but I have serious doubts I'll be able to do so without surgery. Best of luck to you. I hope you are successful in getting rid of the baby-bump.
