Grilled chicken sandwich, complete with mayo, lettuce, tomato etc. Throw away the bread. Easy peasy. :)

^^ That is what I get when I plug your stats.

It looks like your base calories just to function is 1362, so you shouldn't go below that. What calculator did you use? I plugged your numbers into this one. http://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/

Yes I have, but those were the easiest and most obvious changes for me. Did that for a couple weeks, then started tracking and getting more serious. Now I measure/weigh nearly everything, make sure I am at a deficit. And keep my carbs in check. I am learning a whole new approach to cooking and eating food. I am finding…

I had just the opposite problem before going low carb. I can't drink coffee without flavored creamer, so I just don't drink it anymore, not that I ever drank it much before. Going to work on increasing my water and see if that moves things along.

I am also prediabetic and doing low carb. I would double check your calories, that seems awfully low. My macros, without exercise, are 75 carbs (I tend to net well under 50), 100 protein and 144 fat. But, I have over 100lbs to lose and get almost 2,000 calories a day. I usually eat 1600-1800. I have lost 14.6lbs since…

A sex drive. ;)

The last 3 days, I averaged 140g of fat! But, my water consumption has been down. I will work on that. Thanks. :)

Oh do tell. Fried chicken is one thing I've been craving.

Crustless quiche, chorizo & eggs, omelets, egg scramble (tomato, onion, sausage, peppers, mushrooms etc), steak and eggs, burger w/egg. A good protein packed breakfast can hold me over for several hours.

I'm a month in on this journey...lost 14.6lbs so far. Have at least 100 to go, would love 120, but that is like HS weight. So not sure I'll ever see that again! LOL Feel free to add me. I am doing low carb, high protien and fat. This is not a diet, but my new forever. I am also prediabetic. :(

I'm half Irish. Originally from southern Cali....now an Okie (Oklahoma).

Link doesn't work.

You have to feed your body, not starve it. That said, you can overfeed it, even on low carb, so you have to find that happy balance that keeps you satisfied yet losing. Got to find your "sweet spot", pun intended!

That's it. I'm rotissering a roast tonight and it's ALL MINE!

Go to my home, then "check in", then edit previous entries and you can enter a new starting weight.

Yes, I did it. Let me go back and look how!

Two hours after eating a real breakfast, it was 114. I bought a kit to use at home, so I will check it before getting out of bed tomorrow. If it's low, I will call my doc. Thanks all.

Yes, all I had was an atkins shake. I don't know if it could have been a bad reading, I suppose anything is possible. I did have symptoms of low blood sugar, that is why I requested to be tested to begin with. So I'm sure it was low. Was it 23 low? I can only go by what the meter said both times. Readings taken approx 1…

Retested and it's 112 after drinking my Atkins shake. I will retest tomorrow morning to see if we get a repeat low reading.
-
Oh, thyroid tested normal too. And I'm not on any meds.

I can be tested at work by our nursing staff. I work at a residential treatment center, not my doctors office. I will put a call into my doc though.

I am not diabetic, yet. Though it does run in my family on my dad's side, though not early onset. I am 45. Dad didn't become diabetic until his 70's, right before he passed away. I have been tested, within the last year. I will go unlock my diary. There is only 2 weeks worth of tracking, and none from this weekend as we…

Way to go! I'd love to lose 100lbs in a year too! At least I know it's possible! :)
