No it's not. All the people on here saying there is no reason for people to be obese. They just need to put down the fork. If it were that easy, there would be no obese people in the world. So until you have lived it, you have no idea what you are talking about...therefor....SHUT UP about it.

I am considered morbidly obese. My BMI is 40.9. Would I use this product? Probably not. At least not at this point in my life. But for those of you bashing it, and saying oh how it's better/free/blah blah blah to just lose weight....I'm here to tell you it is NOT THAT EASY. Yes, people do it every day. I know it's not…

Well, they are pretty much empty calories. Meaning, nothing nutritional about them. Great for adding calories if you need to gain weight, not so much if you want to lose weight. I prefer to make my calories count.

I find binging to be a set up for failure. But that's me. You may have better self control. Although if you had self control, I don't think you'd be here. So rather than 1 "blow it" day a week, set your calories for the day at a reasonable level, and eat what you want within that goal. If you want ice cream, eat it. Just…

I get 2 double cheese burgers, plain and toss the bun. 520 calories, low carb, and way more filling than a happy meal.

My daughter managed to put herself through nursing school, and kept her clothes on doing it. She was able to graduate with her dignity in tact...you do not have to resort to stripping to get through school. As a parent, I would no way in hell support my daughter stripping just to avoid student loans....

Congrats!!!! You have every right to be proud!! You were beautiful before, but now, you are truly an inspiration!! Question, how tall are you?
-
I checked her profile....she hasn't been on MFP in 6mo. If you want to know if she kept it off, you might need to send her a message so she gets an email.

I understand feeling like you need to take this to lose weight. I truly do. I've been there, done that. Trust me when I say, it's not worth it. I lost 100lbs taking phentermine. But it wasn't just fat I lost. I lost muscle too. And even though I had great intentions of keeping it off, guess what? When I quit taking it, the…

Add me! I'm about 2.5 weeks back into eating lower carb. I set my max at 75g and it's working for me.

Then quit quoting my posts!

Like I said, I'm obese. I'm not out trying to run a marathon. I don't need the energy from a bunch of carbs. I need to lower my calorie intake, and for me, the easiest most sustainable way to do that is to reduce my carbs. By eating higher protein, I'm staying satisfied longer, less likely to snack....and if I do, it's…

Exactly. 150g is NOT low carb, by low carb standards. Heck, my 75 is considered high in their world. But I guess when you consider most people probably eat well over 200 a day, 150 is lower. 75 works for me, gives me plenty of flexibility and doesn't leave me feeling cheated. I make my carbs count (veggies and fruit) and…

Raises hand....that'd be me. I'm 5'11" mom of 6 (4 at home), work f/t, plus my husband travels for work, and I have a teen kid battling cancer (he's winning right now!). So yeah, little bit of a crazy life! LOL Feel free to add me. I follow a low carb, high protein way of eating. I like to eat and refuse to starve myself…

I fuel my body with protein and fats. Carbs I keep to 75g. I'm obese. Well, for now. Don't plan on being this way forever. I would never be satisfied if I ate my weight in carbs. Give me a steak and salad thank you very much!

Wine is my sweet. I'm still drinking it and it's not slowing down my journey at all.

Oh, and my "BFF" who is attempting to do the 3 day military diet (insert eye roll), brought home a pie after I announced losing 4lbs in a week. Talk about sabotage....but guess who didn't eat one bite??? ME!!!!!!!!!!!! I won't lie...it helped that it was nasty pie that I wouldn't have ever ate anyways....but if felt good…

I went to an all day training last week. I brought jerky and nuts for snacks to keep me satisfied. Lunch was served....talk about carb loaded! Pasta, bread AND cake. I had 2 servings of salad and 3 strips of chicken. I wasn't even tempted to eat the carb items. Victory!!

Maybe if I weighed 100lbs!!! But when you are obese, that's a LOT of carbs!! 1 carb per pound of IDEAL body weight might be more appropriate.
-
I don't even look at fat anymore. And in years past, I was convinced I had to stay below 30 grams of fat to lose weight. Now, as long as the fats I'm eating are healthy fats (nuts, avocados, meat etc), I could care less. I count carbs and calories. 6lbs down in 2 weeks. Not a bad start. And best part???? I'm not starving.…

People are asking me "what diet are you on?" and I don't have an answer, because I'm not following any rigid diet. I am eating cleanER, lowER carbs (75g per day is my goal), but I'm not Paleo or Keto. I do model a lot of what they do, but I'm not rigid about any of it, except eliminating rice, pasta and bread. And yes, I…

I ended up making a pork stir fry with green onions, water chestnuts, cabbage and a little sauce. It was good and the water chestnuts gave me the crunch I needed.

I found this....the crunch of the wrapper is mostly what I'm missing. :( http://mariamindbodyhealth.com/paleo-egg-rolls/

Beef jerky is my go to. 40 calories a serving.

I took them before, twice. Even though I had great results the first time, and amazing intentions of keeping it off.....yeah, it didn't happen. Save your money and do it the old fashioned way. I know how much you think you need that "jump start", but from someone who has been there done that, trust me, you don't. Calories…

I'm eating about 1800 calories a day, 75 grams of carbs or less, and have lost 4.2lbs in my first 8 days. I'm a happy camper!!
-
Our starting stats are almost identical, and I'm 5'11" too. Can I add you?
-
Day 8 and 4.2lbs.
-
Off to a great start! 4.2lbs in 8 days! I know it is mostly water, but I am OK with that. A loss is a loss. And before I made changes, I was gaining daily! It is definitely fueling my momentum! Too bad my BFF is trying to sabatoge me and brought home a pie knowing full well that I am making life changes. It helped that she…

You are stunning!!! Gives me hope! And I'm not opposed to a tummy tuck if needed! LOL
