  • It's been about 3-4 months for me too. Technically I'd be considered a pescetarian as I still eat the occasional seafood, but I may eventually phase that out too. I'd love to swap stories and recipes though.
  • Thanks that helps!!
  • Sorry, that sounds really frustrating. I don't have any personal experience with this but I do know that a friend of mine hit a plateau with her weight loss and sought help from a trainer. The trainer told her that she'd reduced her calories too much and thrown her body into starvation mode so that it slowed her metabolism…
  • Sorry, but I disagree. You should dress for yourself in a way that feels comfortable to you. A woman who is 400 lbs has just as much right to choose any swimsuit she wishes as any 90 lb model. Whether or not her swimsuit fits properly or exposes fat rolls is no one's concern but her own. If you don't like the sight of it…

  • Thanks for all the replies! I'm not really sure if there is another activity that would be better. I'm so out of shape that no matter what I try (swimming, biking, etc) I'm usually struggling a few minutes in so it's torture to complete the workout. Plus, while I enjoy things like hiking there's no way I could find the…
  • Welcome! I'm a mom of 2 who is needing to lose somewhere around 50 lbs. I actually did manage to lose most of the weight after my last pregnancy, but then over the past couple of years between a thyroid condition and a tendency toward emotional eating I gained everything back. I weigh more now than I did at 9 months…
  • I agree that taking a rest is probably the best thing. Without it your muscles will have a hard time recovering. A trainer I know once advised me against doing high intensity workouts more than 5 days a week so that your body gets a chance to recover. He also recommended alternating workouts so that you're not overworking…
