  • Hi Ladies I need to get back on this and keeping track at what I eat. I need to be eating better. I need to stop eating so much junk food. I need to work out. I need to get back running. I feel overweight and out of shape. I've been buying larger size clothing, including running clothes. I've been running for 6 1/2 years…
  • Hi ladies- trying to get on the wagon yet again, I hired a running coach so that's been helping me some! At least I'm getting my runs in! I did something else to help as well - I signed up for my second full marathon!!! I will be doing it virtually. The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon was cancelled on Monday. It…
  • Today is very busy at work TWELVE closings today. I'm happy tomorrow is Canada Day and a day off! I will have earned it! On the weekend I hired a running coach. I hope it gives me back my love for running. I need to get out and run because I love to run. Usually race and medals are my motivation and I have none. (I'm not…
  • Jenny - move is frustrating! I’ve done it enough and have no intention to move any time soon! I’m just one person to move. I can’t imagine moving an entire house, more people and moving states (or provinces if it were here) In get to have an IN PERSON Sunday School class today!! I’m so excited! To keep it at 50, my class…
  • Jenny - all the best to you!! One of the paralegals I frequently talk to retired today. We are down to ONE active case in the province! Just a single one! I really hope that we don't have new cases from the protests. It's just getting to the two-week mark from them. We are getting into the time frame where they said we…
  • I think I need to give up on the app on my phone. I keep trying to post there and it freezes, kicks me off and I lose my post. It's happened a few times! Nova Scotia is at 8 straight days of NO new cases! We only have 2 active cases and both are in hospital. That means no active cases in the community! I hope we can keep…
  • I work from home Monday to Wednesday and in the office Thursday and Friday. I hope to be back fully in soon. Summer is upon us and property is really starting to pick up. Thing in our province are starting to open back up! Places that were ordered to close can reopen June 5. That means I can get a massage! I just need to…
  • Hi ladies. I’ve been struggling so much lately. I just want this whole isolation and working from home to be over. I want things back to normal. Cases here are going down. Most of them are in the care homes, one in particular. There are areas in the province with no current cases, and are calling for our premier to open…
  • Jenny - I don’t know how to ride a bike! Plus the only way to get there is on the highway. In Nova Scotia it’s illegal to walk or bike on the side of the highway. I ran yesterday. First in a week. Sitting her telling myself to go when work is done. I’m trying to pep talk myself. Not working very well. Yesterday was…
  • Runs so far this week - 0 I just can't get myself out the door. I wanted to last evening when I got home, but I saw so many people out walking, way more the normal, I didn't want to. I didn't want to be dodging people on my run. I'm hoping to get out this evening -in the rain. Maybe there won't be as many people out due to…
  • Hi ladies. Thankfully my family and friends are safe with what happened here in my home province. He did get really close to some family including my parents. My first run after it happens had me jumping when the first few cars went by me. I never imagined Canada’s worse mass shooting would happen in my province. I’m…
  • Hi Ladies. I haven't been on where for a while. Usually do to kill time at work, but since I haven't been in the office much, I haven't come on! I'm working from home 3 days a week and in the office 2 days a week. I'm in 3 days a week this week as we have multiple closings today. Things are getting hard. I missing my…
  • Yesterday I had my first "Work at home" experience. I learned NOT to try to sign into the VPN program to connect to my computer at work, until my computer is fully booted up! It took nearly 15 minutes before I could get my computer working and get signed in. My computer at home is slower, most likely due to my internet…
  • My province has declared a state of emergency as of yesterday. Gatherings are limited to 5. On the weekend I took an inventory of my freezer and cupboard and meal planned for 4 weeks on that. The only thing I will need to go and get is milk. I just need to make sure I stick to it and don't go into a store for sometime I…
  • Our restrictions were increased. Gatherings are now limited to FIVE. Our premier was NOT impressed with the countless people that went to the beach and other public places on the weekend. (Who wants to go to the beach in March anyway!) We are no under a provincial state of emergency. While several provinces have called a…
  • My April race has been cancelled. I'm deferred to next year. My May race (Nova Scotia's biggest race) is postponed to fall. My June race has halted registrations as they decide and wait on what needs to be done. I have signed up for 2 virtual races! They cannot be cancelled! Nova Scotia has announced more cases, and the…
  • Nova Scotia how has presumptive and confirmed cases. Depending on who states it or where you look its between 7-13. So many things are closing down. Schools have 3 weeks for March break. Gyms are closed. Libraries are closed. Rec centers are closed. I take the bus. It's limited to seated passengers only, and and as of…
  • There's the first presumptive case in the province next to me. They are saying where specifically. New Brunswick (the province next to me) has imposed strict guidelines on those coming back from March break. Those that came back on a certain date, must self-quarantine themselves for 14 days. Nova Scotia (who has their…
  • Hope your feeling better Jenny I haven't done any prep for the virus. Maybe when we get a confirmed case in Nova Scotia, I'll consider it a little more. Right now I see no need. That and I don't have any money to!! Payday is Friday. I filed my taxes on Sunday and should have my refund within a week. I MIGHT use some of…
  • The issue with people stockpiling here, is not just because I find it complete unnecessary, especially with no reported cases in my province, but there has been blockades on the tracks. With the blockades, supplies haven't been able to get in. The blockades are starting to come down and trains are moving again, but it's…
  • I'm not worried about myself (It's not even reported in my province yet). The only one I worry about, would be my dad. He is 72 and suffers from a lung condition.
  • I had to tighten my spibelt I put my phone in when I go for a run.
  • I think the media is just causing fear mongering with the reports on the virus. There are no reported cases in my province (only reports cases are in BC and Ontario) and yet I've seen reports of people here stock piling. I'm not planning on it. If you practice good hygiene you should be good. The flu has killed more people…
  • 2 days in a row of beautiful spring like weather, and another today! Not so much tomorrow. I might be running in some light snow fall tomorrow on my lunch run. My replacement piece for my vest arrived in Montreal, QC Monday night. It may get to me here in Nova Scotia by the end of the week, if not I should have it first of…
  • Congratulations on the new house Jenny! I haven't been coming on the community board here for awhile. I've been hit and miss with recording. I was holding steady for almost a month at the same weight. I was nervous about stepping on the scales this morning, as I did basically nothing last week and turned my stress at work…
  • Way to go!!!! That's a lot of hard work. (And I have to say I love those tights you are wearing in your after photos)
  • There is a reason I refer it to the dreadmill. I won't run on them unless I have to, and I can't stand doing more then 5km on them. My issue with treadmills is they are in miles and I run in kilometers. I can never seem to get to the right pace that I do when I run outside.
  • I don't notice a noticeable difference (I also didn't measure myself though back in November when I re-started this) but I can button up blouses again that I haven't been able to wear in 2 years because they were to tight across the stomach. Sam thing with some of my dress pants.
  • I've run in almost any weather. The only thing I haven't run in is freezing rain.
  • I prefer to call it Single Awareness Day.
