There are some fun bellydancing workouts on youtube too.

It depends where in the world you are, but usually fresh produce and unprocessed food isn't too expensive, as long as you're prepared to cook them. Cutting out the processed food can make space in the budget for any excess, but my issue is that some processed food is great! I try to make a compromise - having green…

Well done! Really inspiring to read, especially since I also have social anxiety issues. I hope you have a fabulous time at the concert!

Peanut butter co. have little squeeze packets, 180 calories a pop, which can be a bit of relief from the craving! I often while away time thinking of buying one of their big jars... it's a sad life, some say, but it's either that or consume 450g of peanut butter in one afternoon (a delightful afternoon, I admit). The best…

Brilliant, well done!

Haha! Great read :) Also, well done!

You'll make it through. After all, you chose to reach out and talk about it instead of retreating into those difficult feelings - that's brave, it shows a fighting spirit. The fact that he couldn't even behave like a good friend should have shows that he's better out of your life than in it. I know it sounds harsh, but…

It helps to think about why you aren't doing all that. If it was so great, if it would make you feel that good, why aren't you? Presumably because it didn't make you all that happy. And maybe there are benefits in the efforts that you're making, the good habits, the ability to say no to what you really like but know isn't…

Very inspiring, good work!

He sounds like an *kitten*. I'm sorry, I know that's a judgment, but really - he couldn't even hang around for the evening? Over 40 pounds? What on earth is that kind of a person going to be like in an actual, human, messy, difficult everyday relationship? They sound like the person who would scram over the slightest…

Whoa! Brilliant, you look great and thank you for the inspiration!

Tell them that you're just trying to be healthy and you're going about it your own way, maybe say it with a bit of a bite so they know to back off. Or just keep changing the subject until they get the hint. If all else fails, just tell them that we should all mind our bodies and, as long as we're healthy, no comments. The…

I have to admit, I am just relieved because I just think "what would they have looked like before!". We went to a wedding recently, I had to sit on the front row for one photo, I just covered my tummy best I could and smiled... yes, big, but not as big as a I was, so the photos are a nice reminder of work in progress.

I don't like dwelling on the topic, but I do appreciate it when someone notices it, because all the responses have been nice. I don't mind the ones that say "well done, keep going!" though that's getting a bit personal!

Thank you! A really thought-provoking read, many things to consider. Very best of luck to you in your journey to the best of health :)

I'd love to hear suggestions about sticking to 1200 too, though I reckon it's best not to stress over that. About whether it makes me feel like a failure... not so much, really. I don't hit goal a lot, but logging in everything helps me see the patterns in my behaviour (and also that, when I'm not trying to control intake…

First of all, WELL DONE! Secondly, www.youtube.com/divaslimsdown has a video about feeling herself slowing down as she got closer to goal. Very best of luck to you! Great work!

Good work! I will try T25

Well done!

Great work, well done!

Haha! Good for you! As long as you're eating enough to be healthy, all that seems great.

It might do some good if you tell her. In the sense that she might think before saying things like that.

You've done amazingly well already, and you can do whatever you set your mind to. Have you seen divaslimsdown on Youtube? Her videos are great, honest inspiration. She lost around 200 pounds starting from 346, but whatever the weight loss, her videos are really helpful. She has one video about suddenly finding herself…

I got excluded a lot and made fun of because of my weight. During my early teens, when I was in my home country, a usually very nice boy asked me why I was so fat. I told him to *kitten* off. I rather think it's that one little moment - and he did look embarrassed - that helps offset the other things. I told at least one…

Just my two cents: it seems like she is advocating something quite experimental, and could be triggering if you are still worried about your weight. perhaps it is better to discuss it with your nutritionist?

Have you read Victor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning? Amazing book. On a completely different note, for me, the most important thing is to find the source of the depression. I'm making a distinction here, trying to be clear not to hurt anyone: I know there is clinical depression, which is different level of intensity…

Well done!

The answer seems to be quinoa (18g protein/cup), beans and nuts. Soy products are not the best for you. Also, chia seeds are grand too. With the high fats needed, nuts sound like a good option. http://greatist.com/health/complete-vegetarian-proteins http://vegetarian.about.com/od/healthnutrition/tp/protein.htm
