I'm at 60 days, 293 to 264. Frustrating part is I've been down this road before...

Just don't let those airliners crash into each other!

300 down to 236 a few years ago and posted a before/after pic and gained it all back! http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/530223/60-pounds-lost-as-seen-in-two-disney-world-trip-photos#latest "Before" this time was 293 and I'm at 264. My short-term goal is to be in 250's in late July for a week of climbing hills…

I did W5D1 tonight. On the third run, I felt like I could go a bit longer, so I kept going right thru Laura's cool down walk for a total of 10 minutes on the third interval. That was a great feeling and I feel like I can totally do the two 8's in a couple days. Like everyone else, I'm a little worried about the 20 min run…

Was losing weight with calorie restriction and walking, but started c25k a month ago and weight plateaued. Body fat % by my Tanita scale and body measurements went down (1.5 in on belly), so we must bein the same boat. Even though I know this is good for me, I feel discouraged when I see the scale not budging!

Great job, fellow Wisconsonite! You look great!!

None of my days are the same twice in row, much less five weeks...

I have hit a few. It is often because as I lose weight, my BMR decreases, and I need to adjust my target. Right now, my weight has been stable for a month, but my BF% and measurements are decreasing. I started couch to 5K a month ago and must be adding leg muscles!

You've lost 2/3 of your face! Seriously, great job!!

If you survived a plane crash on a desert island where you could only scrape together enough calories for less than your RMR and you were rescued a few months later, would you have lost weight? Darn right! I believe we under-report intake, either by poorly guessing portion sizes or labels being incorrect. many websites…

Your Basal Metabolic Rate is over 1500 if you weight 300 lbs - that's the energy it would take to keep your body alive if you were in a coma, not moving at all. If you worked out, you burned more than that.

If they could see the future, I'm sure they took this into account. But hey, maybe your skepticism will affect the taste of your brain, making you a less desirable target...

I'm training to protect my family!!

I weigh daily first thing in the am, naked. I chart it on a spreadsheet and calculate the average of the last 5 days. The graph of the trend line is the one I follow, not the daily weight. Learned this from "The hacker's Diet" - a free book on the internet - google it - it is weight loss from a computer engineer's…

At 298 lbs, I realized if I didn't change what I was doing, I'd be over 300 soon. I decided I wanted to be more active with my three kids and be around for them as they get older. I started in Oct 2010 with walking and lost about 4 lbs. I switched to logging my food in Dec 2010 and the weight started coming off slowly. I…

Pictures are worth 1K words! Great job!

According to NASA, the average adult takes in 9.2 lbs of water and 2.5 lbs of food each day. You can see how small changes in your water balance can sway the scales 1 lb up or down. Women are especially prone to this during their monthly hormone cycles. If you are doing what you are supposed to, it will correct itself over…

Wow - you've been through a lot! Happy for you and your little one!!

I think of it as sympathy means "I'm sorry you are going through that - you must feel bad" while empathy means "I'm feeling bad too - vicariously experiencing your pain."

I started out October 2010 trying to lose 100, have lost about 60 lbs so far. Recently started using MFP to log food (signed up a while ago, but was using livestrong, but like this better 'cause it syncs with my fitbit.) There are lots of us here - you are NOT alone!!
