  • Great feeling, good for you!!!
  • Talking with your doctor about this particular medicine or any different ones is a great idea. Unfortunately with different birth control effects people completely differently.
  • Isnt't it funny that we get excited about being overweight now lol this is great!!!! I am the same height as you and this is the goal that I am working towards
  • I do not use a spreadsheet like that but I did find an app called happy scale that I track my weight with. The app also sets up mini weight goals that I like working towards too. It is a free app and very user friendly
  • Katy Perry - Roar (my current favorite song)
  • My go to breakfast is 1/2 cup or 40 gr of oats mixed in 1/2 cup of milk (for me soy milk) mix together with a little cinnamon mix this the night before and through it in the fridge. The next morning the oats will have softened and soaked up some of the milk. So basically its cold oatmeal. Super yummy and about 180…
  • I have had 5 foot surgeries on my left foot so I can definitely understand where you are coming from. You can look up videos on youtube. Just type in workout in a chair or seated workouts. Also, you may want to get a pair of dumbells maybe 5-10 pounds. You will want to focus on upper body and core training. Cardio is going…
  • Oh yeah I did this and it was like no wonder I am the weight that I was at when I started here in January at 225 pounds. I also had this same type of reaction when I purchased a food scale and actually started weighing and measuring my servings that was a real eye opener too. Especially with ice cream. I wanted ice cream…
  • As has been posted I would recommend eating at maintenance calories. Also, make sure you are eating plenty of protein to help with healing and drinking plenty of water. Hope you heal quickly!
  • Listen to your body if its hungry then feed it. Also, you will want to try to net at least 1200 calories. The net number is food calories - exercise calories burned. For example you eat 1200 calories but then work out and burn 500 calories = 1200 - 500 = net of 700 calories. Hope this helps. It is also not uncommon for you…
  • Oh yeah I have a super tiny foot (only wear a size 5) the 3 remaining screws that I have in there you can see each one of the screw heads poking out. It's kinda gross!!!
  • Unfortunately cardio is pretty much out per doctor orders so I will be weight training quite a bit. I can bike as long as I pedal with my heal instead of the middle of my foot like normal-per dr. orders. And I cant do the elliptical either. Luckily my gym as water aerobics so I looking to add that more frequently as my…
  • My 4th foot surgery was a triple arthrodesis (sp?) where they fused 3 joints in my foot. Its basically like walking with a wooden foot lol. I do exercise as much as I can with my circumstances. Unfortunately I am prone to injury with this foot and have to take it really easy. I am needing additional surgery to take out…
  • People like us by Kelly Clarkson and MMBop by Hansen!!!
  • I have the same problem with my sodium intake. I have been noticing that it mainly comes from processed foods. Try cutting down on processed foods, especially try to eliminate canned foods. As for the vinaigrette for salads try making your own. If you are on pinterest try looking up some recipes for them. I would suggest…

  • I think that is a realistic goal. I mean that's about 4 months away. That means you would need to loose about 3 pounds per month which is a little less than a pound per week. Set that as your goal but don't get discouraged if you don't quite make it. I think you will either make it or come super close. You are doing…
  • The only reason why I don't eat later at night is because I am prone to very bad acid reflux. If I eat too close to bed then I will be up all night with it. I personally think its a myth.
  • I personally don't believe in these types of yo yo/fad diets. Slow and steady wins the race. Eat better foods and portion control with exercise is the best bet
  • There is a 15 year difference between my husband and I, I am 24 he is 39. He is also super physical with his job where I sit all day at a desk. We have tried working out together and it just doesn't work. I tend to want to push myself harder then he does. We always leave and I feel like I hardly did anything compared to…
  • Love this thanks for posting!!!
  • If you work in a hospital or large office building walk the stairs and or walk inside. Its air conditioned so you may not get that sweaty but you will still be moving. Just a thought.
  • very interesting thanks for the article. I actually pretty much eat all of the items on the list. except for the almond butter because I am allergic to all nuts.
  • I would change your settings to lightly active from now on especially if you are going to be working there 5 days a week. I would not count this as exercise since it is going to be a daily routine now. It might be fun to have a pedometer just to see how many steps you take during your shift. I used to work retail and it…
  • popcorn is a good start. I buy the 100 calorie packs of popcorn because I have a problem with portion control, so once its gone its gone. Also, make sure you have a large glass of water with you by your side. Another tip go to bed early. I have done that recently, I start getting bored cravings and I just go to bed lol.…
  • I too am 5ft tall. Technically to be in a healthy BMI I would need to weigh between 94 - 128 pounds. I started out at 225 pounds and presently at 195. I am aiming for 150 but will see how I feel and look and may try to get down as low as 125 - 130 pounds but don't think that I will get any lower than that.
  • I walk in my driveway most evenings maybe you could try this. I literally just do laps in my driveway. Maybe something else is put some music on and get your dance on :D. You could even run in place, requires little to no space lol.
  • eat more to weigh less. I am currently eating about 1850 calories on days when I work out and on non work out days I am eating about 1500 calories. On hard work out days or any days in general I try to net 1500 calories. You need to bump up your calories.
  • I loved going to chipotle and I would always order a burrito bowl and chips and guacamole. The burrito bowl has about 900 calories and the chips and guacamole had 1200 calories in it. This was a super big eye opener. The amount of calories I ate in 1 meal was what I am now eating in 1 full day and working out. Don't let it…
  • eat more to loose weight really does work. I started here in January with eating 1200 calories with little exercise maybe a walk here and there or 20 minutes on my stationary bike. The first month I lost about 8 pounds. In February I decided to get a gym membership and starting working out 5-6 days a week doing cardio and…
  • I have done this before with my 4 pound Chihuahua but its not really weight lifting because he is so tiny lol
