To anyone in perimenapause/menapause - I'm nearly 52 so I must be getting towards it. I wanted to fight what I see around me in women my age - thick middles and fat on the hips. I was obese last year. The weight was creeping on and on. Since then, I have lost 50lb and am now 143lb. It certainly was much harder losing…

Thanks you very much - your client looks amazing :)

You look the picture of male beauty. I have lost 50lb and have just started lifting weights. Thank you for posting this, because although I am older than you and female, I can actually see the transformation in your physical structure and health, and it gives me hope. Best wishes.

What I didn't expect: I no longer suit the type of clothes I used to wear as a big person. I have lost most of my bust and bottom. I can't fill out a dress any more. I need to find a whole new style and shape of clothes to wear, and I'm 51. I don't know where to start.

Hello young fella! I'm an old(ish) bird who has lost 50lb, so if I can be of any help, you may friend me :)

I will apply-thank you

Happy - I know how you feel. I have lower back and knee problems. I just didn't know what would make my joints better/worse or what I should be doing to get fit and strong without damaging myself - cardio/weights/both/just doing some walking. Anyway, I just read this book called "Younger next year" by Chris Crowley and…

Beautiful before and after! You look great.

Hi there. I have been a vegetarian for over 25 years. I have lost 50lb since last summer. Could you try 0% fat cottage cheese, 0% fat Greek yoghurt to keep your protein up and calories down? (Also great for cooking with as well) It's a lifesaver for me. Also red lentil soup with whatever veg you want to add. Low calorie,…

My husband misses the days when we used to enjoy food together. We don't now, as he eats 3 times the calories I have to eat to mantain my weight. He also likes candy, chips and fast food and I don;t eat that any more. I think it can drive a wedge between you if you let it. I don't expect a lot of support from anyone in my…

Hello!

Don't hammer yourself with negative thoughts! One year ago I could not get up the stairs or get in and out of the bath. Now I can run, do sit-ups, press-ups and lift heavy weights. Unlike me, you have youth on your side - you can do it! :)
-
You both look really great - well done :)
-
Ahhh - congratulations to you - what a beautiful family :)
-
I have lost 50lbs. If you log all your food and find some good supportive friends, you are on it! Good luck :)
-
Not weird :) Red lentil soup is lovely.

Lol Thanks so much for your reply Jennifer - I was exactly the same in that 160 was my goal! :) I felt brilliant at 160lb, but kept going, and now feel fat at 144lb. Thanks for your nice comments - you have cheered me up :)

I have lost 50lb and am now 144lb on a large 5'7" frame - a good weight, but I feel fatter than I ever did when I was 194lb. I don't understand why. I look in the mirror and can see that I am not "fat" as such, but I feel it. For me, I think it's because I was at least firm before, whereas now I am probably skinny fat. -

Hi OP. I gave up alcohol when I decided to lose weight. I have lost the weight, but still don't drink. I never thought I would be happy as a non-drinker, as I loved drinking, but I got fat on it because I was so greedy, and I drank loads and ate loads after. Best decision I ever made was to give it up. Shame I didn''t do…

Looking forward to following your journey :) You look great in your photograph anyway.

Drinking a lot of alcohol for 25 years and eating junk afterwards.

Hi there. I am 51. In summer 2014 I was 194lb and obese. By January this year, I was 147lb. I have arthritis and a lot of other health problems, plus menapause looming and financial and other stress in my life. You honestly can do it - just think long term, not quick fix. I feel so much better now, am much more able to…

What a transformation - well done :)

I was 50. I felt terrible physically. I decided to weigh myself for the first time in years, and found I was 194lb and obese. Something snapped in my mind. So much going on around me in my life was so sad and difficult and circumstances around me not under my control. I thought "what would a sensible person do here?" Then…
