I agree that adding good fat is a great way to go. I always have raw almonds or peanutbutter. I hate fish, but some salmon would be a good source of calories as well. Fat is our friend.

I used them and other detox stuff and never saw any results. I have only seen results with eating right and excercise.

1000 is crazy high for all the time. Unless you are triaining for something important. Around 250-600 calories is pretty normal excercise. My excercise varies from 300 for my light Tae Kwan Do to about 900 for P90X Plyometrics.

I don't know about the DVD workouts you are using, but the best way is to use a heart monitor. Get a good one and it will tell you the calories. Get a cheaper one that tells you only your average heart rate and you can use this website,…

Depending on when you ate this morning, you have not had a lot of food, especially if you are waiting until 1 p.m. for lunch. Remember to eat 100-200 calorie snacks every 2 hours or so.

They don't have to be meal replacements so long as you are in your calorie goal. I would drink it after the workout for muscle building instead of before the workout.

I have been a big fan of p90x. It has a great variety of workouts. The program is pretty intense for home videos, but you don't have to do the program.
