I'd also like to say that, depending on your workouts, that it might not be the scale that matters. I'm THREE sizes smaller at this weight than I was the last time I was here! Last time I started at 172 size 14 and found my ideal at 145 size 6. Now I'm 172 size 8. I have no idea what my goal weight should be. I have goal…

We'll just call this recomp shall we? Some people aim to do this

I kept my ~30 pounds off for years without logging, then life happened. Even when I got divorced, got a promotion, moved to China, moved back, had a bout of vitamin D deficiency fueled depression, I managed to keep it to a 10 pound gain. Should have trimmed it here, but I was still happy at that weight. After getting…

Are your calories, deficit, and macros set properly for you and your activity level? Is your weight loss goal in line with how much fat you have (2lbs/week if you are obese, .5lbs/week for the last few cosmetic pounds) If not, start here:…

Things I have a hard time moderating: Certain kinds of pizza, wings, cheezits when they are salty (lots of box to box variation), Ben and Jerrys half baked, steak if there isn't a side dish... Sometimes beer and wine.

Thank you for all of the responses!

Hmm never thought about room temp or fewer eggs. I do think my ice bath usually gets too warm because I do a dozen at a time. I'll try that thanks.

TWENTY minutes?! woah. Aren't the yolks crumbly and green at that point?

That's where question number 2 was coming from. Whether the calculator could give me a moving estimate.

I always go by the week for macros and calories. I bank a solid 1000 or more during the week for Friday/Saturday. I've always lost consistently this way. The fact that yours is accidental/medically required shouldn't matter. I am just as worried about eating too little as too much. I don't want to lose weight too fast or…

Never. Moved every 6 months or so of my life. Couldn't tell you what state, or possibly what country, I was in at any particular time... NHIE cheated on a significant other (even kissing someone else)

Yes, really. This is all of the truth.

Yes, you can and I do fit everything in in moderation.... But if I could make some foods magically the nutritional and caloric profile of broccoli (which I also like btw): Pizza Wine Boneless chicken wings Whiskey Pad Thai .....putting this in because of the above comments, though I don't and wouldn't eat this that often…

Well thats certainly fine if thats what you like. I also find it interesting that you (and several other people on the thread) are talking about number of slices/half the pizza rather than a volume. I think a lot of people go for thin crust because its "better" or "lower calorie" even if they don't like it as much but if…

Interesting. How much is it once the free trial is up? Also wonder why they start at size 10.... Not purely plus size, but also not inclusive. Maybe smaller people tend to like to shop in public more??? I don't.

so....less crust, less cheese, less toppings just means fewer bites of the same things for the same money.... why don't you just eat fewer slices of the real deal? As I showed above, the macros don't really adjust all that much.

Thin crust IS > no pizza, but still a little :(. Try subbing feta for all of the cheese. Great flavor and the sauce and ingredients stand out more. You don't get the ooey gooey cheese strings, but that doesn't do anything for me. I get regular crust Papa Murpheys chicken garlic with sub extra chicken and feta for the…

It makes it way harder to lazily slip your shoes on and off, but does wonders otherwise. Great for your running shoes and your hiking boots. Increases stability. Good post.

I like charcoal or silver with purple... or both, one for the shawl/sweater and one for the shoes.

I prefer hearts but I second the hot oil and fry fast. I don't rinse, pat, or dredge (though breaded is tastier I'm lazy)... I just sprinkle with garlic and salt. yum.

Massage - because all of my deficit comes from exercise, particularly lifting and martial arts so I need it! Cute new clothing item New workout gear New activity that I haven't tried: hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, stand up paddle board whatever! Its active and fun and wouldn't have been as easy at a…

Neither of you should "have to" but have you ever thought about doing Krav Maga or a similar self defense oriented martial art? It really helps with the confidence, and also so that you don't carry yourself like a victim. I've never been followed or attacked in any way despite traveling and being out on my own a lot. I…

Is it weird that I always click on the "OMG, I binged and feel terrible!!!" threads, for inspiration and ideas on what I want to eat? And that I'm disappointed when the "binge" was nothing more than a pint of ice cream or some such?

Make sure that you run slower than you think you need to, especially if you start faltering on later weeks. Do it! Congrats on the choice :flowerforyou:

Cliff bars are NOT protein bars. Looking at the one in my drawer: 42g carbs, 7g fat, 9g protein... They have more calories from both carbs and fat. Besides... None of those are good either except the elusive carrot cake one.

I'm going to keep an eye out for this one since a couple people mentioned it. thanks!

Have you actually tried them?

My ex started going to the gym but quit... I kept going and started running and starting doing martial arts. I did all of the cooking, so I did the choosing. He did eat pretty much anything which was nice. He was always free to make something else but was usually too lazy and did eat his veg... Probably helped that my diet…

I like the quest cookies and cream and vanilla almond flavors the best... These aren't the most popular, but I like them way better than the others. The cookie and almond bits seem to help with the texture. But really? Like, actually delicious? Actually a healthy candy bar? No. Lies. All lies.
