I run 5-6 km three or four times a week at about 8.5kph on a 1.5% incline on the treadmill.
-
6-6.2kph is a pretty quick walk for me.

I didn't see it that way. I understand the bit about post workout energy bars then eating a full meal but the actual part about eating exercise calories reads to me that eating some back is fine.

Please go and get it checked out. Don't take risks with your health. Seriously you are here to get healthier, healthy people cannot see their bones through holes in flesh. If you want to look at it in terms of exercise and calories; if you do have an infection that gets worse you'll be away from exercising for a lot longer…

There are some lovely sounding recipes in this thread! I love tofu, would happily have it for lunch and dinner, husband detests the stuff though so its a no go most of the time! I have it plain, no marinade just dry fried so its all golden and crisp on the outside. Then I'll mix it through a stir fry or curry or just have…

Hi Welcome and well done on taking that first step.

Well done, there is so much to be said for tracking inches!

I know where you're coming from with the face-to-face. I am finding this site incredibly motivational (and addictive!). There are some fantastic people with some cracking advice on here who will all be behind you every single step of the way. Cheering you on with the success and picking you up when times are tougher. Well…

Hi, from Sydney, Australia

I found the c25k (couch to 5k) programme invaluable. It takes you from doing nothing (couch!) to being able to run for 30minutes or 5km (depending on if you run for distance or for time as well as running speed) in 9weeks. Google it, it seriously works. Its interval running - run for 1minute, walk for 90seconds with the…

Oh wow, you look totally beautiful. What an amazing transformation. Do it, get those clothes out of your life. I'd keep a pair of the biggest size in the wardrobe just to remind me of where I was and how far I had come but the rest, you have no need/use for them.

Oh wow, you look absolutely beautiful. Your tattoo is stunning, have been wondering where and what my next one will be, you have just given me inspiration (in tattoo and bikini body!) Congratulations on your success. Enjoy your new body.

Isn't just the same as always - the kids take priority and mum falls way way down the list, usually after the ironing! Make the time for you to focus on your health, you deserve it! You can do this.

Hi, motivation, support and some flipping good advice available in shedloads on here. Good luck on your weightloss journey.

I do this 2-3 times a week. usually followed by either a run or a Body Attack class. Will be in there this morning. Love this class, although every so often my enthusiasm wanes, usually just before the new release is out. Thankfully the instructors at my gym mix up some of the older tracks in the last month to change it…

Urinary Tract Infection? Not sure, it'd be worth seeing a doctor about it though.

That surely must count as two; the chocolate as it does originally come from a bean and the orange, well thats self explanatory! Or maybe I'm just hoping..................

Its been working well for me. I was always 'on a diet' but not actually doing anything, the weight was static then a few weeks back I found MFP. Started logging and taking the exercise seriously and bam! 5kg gone. Good luck!

YES! Remember how good it felt today, how positive you feel about making those better choices and the buzz of doing some exercise. Write it down if you need to then every time you waver read it, remind yourself of your optimism and positivity you have and remember that you can, and ARE, doing this. If something doesn't go…

Don't be discouraged, 2lb a week is a healthier, safer and more sustainable weight loss. An excellent loss in fact! Like PP's have said the 9lb was probably water weight, it takes your body time to adjust. Remember that the weight took time to creep on and so will take time to drop off. You can do this.

Welcome and good luck, I've found this site an incredibly supportive and knowledgable place. I hope it can help you achieve your goals.

Hi Nicole, I'm on the same journey trying to lose the baby weight! Only the 'baby' is now nudging three! You can do this, the support on here is fantastic. Ditto the tools. I find the app invaluable to keeping track when away from computer.

Does anyone know if Amazon require a signature on delivery?

Oh wow, glad to have found this thread. I've done the C25K and have been gradually upping the runs - did 46mins on Saturday, plodding along at 7.7kph, wasn't sure whether to keep going with increasing the time or to work on speed. Tried upping to 8kph on Tuesday and did the 5k happily at that, doubt I'd get right out to…

Hi from Sydney. Originally from Berkshire, UK, have been loving the Sydney life for nearly 2yrs now. Its high time the body looked as good as the beautiful city I live in. Would love any new friends to join with this journey to the healthier new 'me'!

It is a great site, welcome along.

Hi, love your user name and avatar! This is a cracking place, so many knowledgable people around.

Hi, welcome and a huge well done on your progress so far!

I eat dark chocolate, my preference in Lindt dark mint intense. Most importantly though, IMO, is to remember that chocolate, in moderation, can be part of a healthy balanced diet. I find trying to find substitutes for something you REALLY REALLY crave is on a hiding to eating more calories as downing an apple when you've…
