  • This challenge is tougher than it looks, lol. I managed to complete it in just under 30 minutes late last night by the luck of the draw. My daughter thinks it's a great game - of course, she was sat back with a bowl of popcorn watching me :|
  • There you go. I always fail at diets. But once I just started counting calories while still leaving room for treats like ice cream and chocolate just about daily - win.
  • First Responders All good here, goals met, challenges accomplished.
  • I spent way too much time just now trying to separate the on in this statement into some acceptable form of Haiku. Not very traditional, ryanvickers57 - but good on you for the workout. ;)

  • Gah, I think days like that should count double, lol. Good on you for knocking it out though, it's far too easy to talk yourself out of it. #beastmode Challenge met, I did the Tara challenge and a HIIT workout at home sans any equipment :p
  • Awesome! Congrats, girl! Y'all I finally folded and went out and bought myself a few new workout outfits. I was trying not to because I didn't want to spend a fortune on clothes that I have no intention of wearing for very long but my workout clothes have gotten very baggy and I look ridiculous in them. So I went shopping…
  • First Responders I hope there is some leeway here. I know I'm late but we had a power outage last night and I had no way to log on. I met my goals and completed the required challenges. Hope I'm not horde just yet! Someone let me know please. Thanks.
  • ^ ! *facepalm* figures! You see what happens when we miss the tiny details? Someone ends up zumba'ing to death! (it's usually me.) Ah well, it was fun. On the home stretch folks, just gotta stick to the gameplan for the day and I'll have made it through.
  • Sweet! I can't wait for Christmas! In the meantime, I guess I'll zumba the third time today. It's a good thing I'm not shy. *sigh*
  • That's the one bad thing I've been seeing. A lot of people say the step count is off because if you move your wrist it counts a step. To be honest though, IDC how many steps I take. If that HR monitor accurately counts my calories burned, then I'll be delighted. I'll be delighted if it gets close.
  • My Christmas wishlist has a Fitbit Charge HR at the top. I've been badgering all of my friends who have gotten one to tell me if it's any good and so far, all good feedback. I'm super excited for Christmas this year lol. I've become ten again. I'm also curious about how it affects things like calorie counting with regards…
  • Second Zumba today, the first responders done. Love you all, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels awkward doing Zumba :p
  • Nice challenge! Useless Information regarding "staying alive" - that's for certifying laymen. When certifying EMS personnel, I always use "another one bites the dust". #darkhumor
  • Well, at what point does the Gore Card actually open? It's 1915 where I am and I'm done with my diary for the day. Would like to post and get some family time rather than hanging out checking the internet for a thread to open. :( I can't guarantee that I'll be back on tonight. I've completed my goals and the challenge.…
  • Surely it would be acceptable for Sara to post your completion for you in the event that you can't be here?
  • Ok this is my best result: 1 Mile Run Time: 13m 23s (Walk/jog: this one doesn't run) Full Push Ups: 15 Half Push Ups: 6 (cause I punked out after 15) Number of Squats: 64 Static Plank Time: 62s (have I mentioned how much I hate planks?) Sit and Reach Measurement: +4.5 inches Also I did the Zombie Apocalypse squat video…
  • Challenge done, but I can do better. I beat my mile time when I did the test today, and I think I can outsquat my score too. Going to redo it on Friday.
  • Working on that fitness test. I'm just saying: I despise planks, lol.
  • Thanks Angi! With that in mind... * Pre-log my food plan for the next day. * Drink my water goal every day. * Stay wit I struggle with all three of these goals, but they are the ones I want to master. I know that may seem like a push - calorie goal every day, but I figure it's only six weeks. If I can't push myself a bit…
  • Hi all, I'm Joy and I am a communications supervisor for a private EMS agency. I have a long way to go before I hit maintenance and I'm up for a new challenge. On that, does anyone know if we set new goals weekly or if the initial goals are to be carried through all six weeks?
  • If you're losing weight, I don't see any valid reason for adjusting your calorie goal. If you slow or stop, you probably need to take a look at it to see if its set right (amongst other things). I wouldn't obsess over a ten or twenty calorie difference every month but that's just me. I would imagine some people like to…

  • ^^ Look up there to the food tab. Click it, then click the settings link and adjust to your preferences. Don't forget to save your changes. And welcome to MFP :)
  • From personal experience, if I don't hit my fat macro (or come really close) then my body starts telling my brain to grab a spoon and the peanut butter jar. That's a very hard thing for me to resist lol. Seriously, set your macros to fuel your body, set your calories to lose weight.
  • The problem is psychological. Get your head in the game and bring your food scale with it. Eat what you want, stay at a deficit. You'll lose the weight.
  • Wow. Messing with someone at the gym. That takes a special kind of stupid. Meh, I see people at 400 pounds at the gym and I love to watch them win. I also love geriatric members. They keep my behind getting up MWF rain, shine, or whine and joining them. Good on you for winning. And speaking of the gym... gotta go! ;)
  • This is the truest thing I've read in this thread. Um... *insert applauding smilie* Ive done the ketosis thing and you will not convince your friend that she hasn't found the magic solution. Giving up carbs and replacing them with fats and protein is incredibly easy (at first). Fats and protein always make me feel…
  • I rarely eat breakfast, but on gym days I have to. I leave the gym every morning starving. Still, I like to save my calories for later in the day so I toast a couple of slices of low cal bread - Nature's Own honey wheat at 40 cals per slice, and slather 2 tablespoons of nut butter on each for another 100 cals per slice.…
  • ^ Well said. There comes a time in everyone's life when they have to face up to the fact: If you can't live with your plan, then your plan will fail. It doesn't really matter how many pounds a week you lose, only that you are getting healthier, and stronger. Be smart about it, and fuel your body with an eye toward…
  • Well you're not going to like it. You just have to admit to yourself that you made poor choices that took you back to the beginning, then you have to want to change badly enough to make the time to eat right and exercise enough to get your heart healthier. If you are struggling with depression, you should seek professional…
