Do you want food suggestions as in what to get, or suggestions as to how to quell your craving? Assuming you have an Indian restaurant near you and want suggestions on what to order ...Paneer Saag (excuse all spelling errors!) is my fave, but anything with Saag with have lots of spinach at least. I'd go rice instead of…

I've been wondering about the same thing. Bump <3

Bump to read later <3

Ditto to this. I buy Larabars in bulk (at BJs), but will buy a Kind bar if I'm out somewhere and turn into a hungry monster. ;) Also, I've seen a lot of recipes for Larabars, and might try making my own for post-workout refueling.

Perfect!!! Thanks to all! ;D <3

I'm 26, female, 5'4.5, around 130-135. I usually do a three-day rotation, so some weeks I work out 5 days, some are 4: Day 1: Cardio (Zumba, running, some rigorous vinyasa, etc.) Day 2: Circuits/Strength (Insanity, Jillian, Jackie, etc.) Day 3: Rest Time length varies between 35-90 minutes, and sometimes I switch the days…

It's usually one of the first things someone asks me if they're comfortable with me (or actually, even if they're not). I always tell them to guess, haha. Or, if they're being particularly annoying, I ask them why they want to know. It bothers me only because it seems like people need to know "what I am" or why I "don't…

Welcome to MFP! My fiance is a chef, so I definitely understand temptation. Friend me if you'd like. :)

Great advice so far-- I should just be listening to my body anyway. Thanks <3

I do this, and it works for me. I usually eat the majority of my exercise calories back. This way, with eating them pre-workout, I know that I HAVE TO work out. Works for me. ;D It also depends on how close you are to your goal-- if you're within 10 lbs. or so, you should also be gradually reducing your deficit to avoid…

Lady Gaga's entire "Born This Way" album helped me reach a lot of running goals. I'll think "One more song, one more song," and before I know it, it's over and I'm onto the next one. We (haha) did our first 5k a couple of weeks ago <3

I just did! Awesome stuff. I've heard good things about it, and I might try this after my current cycle of the Asylum. Thanks!

I would log it at Circuit Training. This is what I use for Insanity (and I think others use it for P90X and the like). It's fairly accurate for Insanity when I use my HRM. Good luck, and thanks for posting the link to the video! I'll have to try it. ;D

There are a lot of conditionals, but I'd like to be on the other side of 130, between that and 125. I'm currently fluctuating around 130-135. I'm 138 in my profile pic, and have lost about 30 since last year (starting wayyy before MFP). I think, however, that my body is absolutely done with letting go of the weight. I'm…

I just watched it, too, and I'd be interested to see what the director/producer/guy ate after the cleanse to maintain. I don't think I can really sustain it, and I feel like I'll never do enough research to confirm whether or not it's a decision I'd make. BUT...it makes me want to incorporate more veggies into my diet,…

I just ate a medium-ish orange and weighed everything I ate-- it was about 125 grams. They were the loose oranges at the grocery store, not the ones in bags. A medium fuji apple (loose, not the teeny ones in the bags, which are usually around 90 grams each), according to my scale, is usually between 150-170 grams. A medium…

I do, but I have no idea if this is the right thing to do or not. I figure that my deficit is low anyway (to lose .5 per week, since I'm so close to maintenance), and I never have HUGE burns, that's negligible. I'm interested in other responses!

I have Le Creuset baking dishes that I use for EVERYTHING. Other than that, an immersion blender is my best friend. And I love my toaster oven, haha. ;D

Ditto on everything previously posted! Maybe a session or two with a trainer would be a nice way to get started with weights. If you prefer to do it at home, Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred is a good start, and there are lots of ways to modify the exercises until you build your strength up. I personally see little victories…

Having to buy the largest size in work pants that I've ever had to in my life. Getting engaged. Now, I'm a smaller size than I was in high school, and am MUCH healthier.

Oh lordy. A LOT of reasons, and not all of them are great: 1. To look GOOD, and maintain it 2. Health 3. To prove my HS gym teachers wrong (bad asthma and I couldn't even run a mile...now I can do 3 without stopping) 4. To stop hating myself. Still working on this one. Or, in nicer terms, to put my mind and body back in…

I heard that you can choose to either snack on hors d'oeuvres or have dessert, but you shouldn't do both. Granted, this is a blanket guideline. I'm planning to fill up on veggies, but not deny myself tasty stuff at meals. Helloooo rack of lamb! I'll skip dessert. OR, have some, but only if I can conceive of it being the…

I confess that I haven't read all of the posts. But this is what I would do: I would say "Thanks!!! I'll get to it later." And then just leave it on my desk. OR, I would say "Thanks for the offer, but I'm saving up for Xmas/New Years Eve/Etc.!" At our big holiday party after work, I brought an apple to eat since I'd…

Boobsweat. Haha.

I think they make socks (just google it) that are specifically for yoga, which help grip the mat or whatever surface you're on. These might help, and you might need to buy some of that nonslip carpet tape for your mat. I hope this helps! <3 cc

Totally verified what I've been suspecting with my own results. Thanks for posting!!! :D

I just looked at your diary and the only thing I can suggest is to look at where your carbs are coming from, and how to switch to something higher in protein and lower in carbs. For example, you're eating vanilla yogurt, which has a surprising amount of carbs, and honey with breakfast. If you switched to plain yogurt…

Last year, I was a size 10/12 (pants/shirts). This year, I'm a size 4/6. ;D

I'm getting married in August but have been engaged since last November. I've lost around 30 (but joined MFP after a lot of the loss), but still have a bit to go. Feel free to add me!
