Ohhh wow ty for all of these responses!!

I'm 5'5, going from 162 to (hopefully) 140-ish. Adding! <3
-
Adding! I'm also returning to MFP after a couple years (and 30 lbs lol). <3

Hi Eli! Adding you as a friend. I'm nonbinary, and am here to help/support <3 Feel free to look at my diary, etc., and message with any questions.
-
And if you friend me, just add a message letting me know that you're in the alphabet mafia, lol. No creepers, thx. <3
-
Add me if you'd like! Looking to lose 15-30 lbs (Covid weight...ugh).
-
I'm nonbinary! And queer (sapphic). Looking to lose maybe 15-30 lbs, but mostly, re-learn about portion control and intuitive eating. <3

Adding! <3

Yoga babe here ♥️

Me too! Want to lose 30 in a year (when I'm getting married). I'm committed to doing it in a healthy way, and would love some accountability buddies.

I've gotten some good advice and encouragement from the forums, but to each her own. I think it's a good thing that they're available for people who want/need them.

Running, Insanity, Elliptical, and Zumba. Good luck! <3

Olive oil and red wine vinegar with dijon mustard. Mustard is a natural emulsifier, so it blends easily. I'll also do the following combinations with olive oil: Balsamic + fresh thyme + mustard + shallots A teeny bit of sesame oil + apple cider vinegar + tamari Lemon juice + pecorino romano White wine vinegar + basil…

I usually have a baggie of almonds and dried fruit (which I guess should be limited?) with me almost always. I'll also buy bags of pre-washed green beans to snack on. Beef jerky (careful of ingredients) is always a good option, as are kale chips. You can make your own, since the ones at Whole Foods are ridiculously…

I have a regular HRM (Polar...something), but I use Endomondo (a free app) that uses a GPS to calculate distance and speed. It works well, and the price is right. Good luck! <3

I'd invite her to come to the gym or go for a walk with you. Invite her over for a healthy dinner. Starting by being supportive, IMHO, is the best way to go about it. This way, you're showing her rather than telling her, too. Good luck; this is a tough subject. <3

My husband told me to stop losing so much before the wedding, and now that the whole wedding craziness is over, I see his point. I don't want to gain any, but I want to maintain healthy eating and exercise at a more manageable level. When people would say things to me, like your friends said to you, I'd reply, "I just want…

That's definitely a long-term goal for me. I have no advice to offer, but much congratulations. I'm so happy for you and your future amazing meals! <3

The suggestions about the gradual transitions are smart. It seems like you're making some awesome homemade dinners-- what about finding ways to make them healthier? In pizza, use sprouted or whole wheat flour. In lasagna, mix in some well-drained and defrosted frozen spinach into the ricotta and shred zucchini and carrots…

It may come down to incline or hills. If the person who's walking slower is using a HRM and is doing steep inclines, or walking a hilly route, it's possible that she will burn more than someone walking faster and longer on an unvaryingly flat surface. I'm a fan of hills and inclines, since it also works by booty. ;D

It matters for me, and what I've found works. Fats help regulate hormones, keep cells healthy, etc., but I'm not a nutritionist, doctor, or biologist-- eating a good percentage of fat works for my lifestyle and goals. I find that when I eat as close to whole foods as I can, including nuts, avocados, full-fat dairy, and…

YES! I've been eating the cleanest I ever have in my life, and it's reduced any bloat and seems to have tightened things up, too. I'm getting married on Saturday, so the idea that eating clean has such a positive effect on my appearance (and really, my mood, too) is important. <3 In terms of definitions, by clean I mean…

I just make sure my fat is "good fat," and other than that, it's the only macro I don't worry about going over. I eat 1700 per day, with about 35% or more coming from fat. Today, I ate 1690 and had 94 grams of fat, but it came mostly from uncured bacon, coconut oil, avocado, olive oil, and feta. I've realized that carbs…

Those enormous tubs of organic greens. I love monster salads, and it's surprising how far one teaspoon of olive oil can go when the rest of your ingredients are so awesome. (Current fave is: arugula, raw beets, feta, walnuts, balsamic, red onion.) Keeps me full and happy. ;D OR collard greens sauteed with uncured bacon,…

"Tomorrow's another day, Scarlet" -- said to me by my mom whenever I'm being dramatic about regretting something.

Black. I used to drink it with milk and sugar, then just milk. The transition to just some milk in it (I used to drink Cafe du Monde cafe au lait style) was easy, because milk has some natural sugar-- I'd recommend using 1% or 2%. By then, the transition to black was easy. I hope this helps! <3

I've been doing kind-of primal for a couple of months, and generally only eat whole foods (I cook a LOT and my fiance is a chef). I'm just looking to maintain weight and get progressively healthier and stronger, rather than finding scale victories. I generally do a combination of Insanity, yoga, and circuit training (good…

I count anything with zero calories-- water, black tea, black coffee. ...I wish wine counted. :(

INSANITY! ...I feel like Super Woman when I've finished, and it's never more than an hour. Other than that, I love a good, long, sweaty yoga session. <3

Lordy, this sounds delicious. Thanks for posting! <3
