She's gorgeous! <3 This makes me want to strive for the confidence, not the numbers. Thanks for posting-- I needed it.

Roast cauliflower! Or turn it into rice. The internet is filled with deeeeee-licious "cauliflower rice" recipes. <3 Make zucchini into spaghetti. Or use spaghetti squash. Get a BUNCH of greens (collards are my fave) and render a slice or two of uncured bacon, toss in onion and garlic, then the cleaned and chopped greens. I…

I'm counting only to be able to learn how much is really in a portion. My stomach and brain are only really starting to communicate with each other, in terms of re-learning how much I need to eat and how much I want to. It's been working so far. Ideally, I'd like to be able to not have to count. <3

I'm really trying to do grain-free, but I'm not completely paleo (I eat dairy). Add if you'd like <3

I fit it into my schedule. At work, sometimes I can't take a break for a couple hours, and when I know that's coming, I don't drink much water right before. When I know that I can take a break whenever I need to, I drink as much as I can. Hope this helps <3

You might feel bloated (or "fat") because of the types of foods you're eating. I find that if I eat a lot of wheat, then I feel bloaty. I'm just flirting with a grain-free diet now, and I don't really get that feeling anymore. Maybe try adding in some raw veggies to your snack? Also, in terms of healthy ways to add…

I went from 167 to 130 (plus/minus a pound or two) and I'm 5'4.5. My profile pic is me at 138 last summer. I hope this helps! <3

Scary. :(

Yes. My problem is that it turns me into a snack monster, and then I can't control myself. If I already account for everything I'm going to eat and drink before I start, that helps. Also, some people think the kind of alcohol you're drinking matters; paleos recommend red wine only (or 100% agave tequila), from what I…

I'm trying to tighten up everything before my wedding (six weeks away), and have recently switched to a grain-free diet (with sugar only from 2-3 servings of fruit per day, and I try to practice "clean eating"). I've been focusing on circuit training since it still has a cardio component, and will usually do one day of…

Since starting my "journey" (pre-mfp), I've lost 37. ;D

If you're walking on a treadmill, walk at an incline. I usually hit around 165-ish when I'm walking at 4-4.5 mph at a 5.0 incline. I hope this helps! <3

Amen, brother!

I love that blog! Let us know how they turn out. <3

BEAUTIFUL, ladies!!! Mine are like water guns right now, but I *almost* have that pretty bicep line when I flex. But it isn't pretty enough to post yet, haha.

I think of clean eating as only eating things where you know and can identify all components or ingredients as a whole food. I also try to cut out white sugar, most bread (except for Ezekiel) and gluteny foods, and anything with more than a couple ingredients on the label. If the ingredients in, for example, a store-bought…

Count them. This system is a little bit different than WW. Good luck! <3

Oops! Sorry for the late response. ;x I joined MFP about a year and a half ago, but I started making a conscious effort in exercise and eating right two months before that. I went from 167 to 130 (and the last ten pounds took a WHILE, as in a couple of months), and am trying to maintain now, but life craziness might make…

I'm getting married on 8/4/12, and am looking to maintain after losing what I wanted. I'll be here for support if you'd like!

Beautiful!!! Many congrats on your amazing success. <3

Ditto. ;D

I really like Jillian's Yoga Meltdown. It's about 34 mins for Level 1, 30-ish minutes for Level 2, and I burn only a little less than with RI30. Some may say it's not "real yoga," but whatev-- it's a nice, bendy workout. ;)

BMR: approx. 1800 Goal: 1700 ...which is really 1500, plus 200 cals from the exercise I do 4x a week, spread over the course of the week.

I know. But sometimes I still hate myself because of that stupid number. I'm working on it. :(

Cheat/re-feed/treat-day is just a matter of semantics to me. I'll have a "cheat meal" when I eat something that would put me over my net for the day, but I usually stick to what would still be consistent with my diet ("whole-foods" based, very little sugar if it any, minimally processed foods, etc.). One or two per week,…

SO interesting! This post was informative and your answers to other posters were likewise thoughtful, informative, and research-based. I'd like to dream that in another life I'd do research that involves biology and nutrition. Thank you, too, for validating my obsession with goats' milk yogurt, ableit indirectly, haha. <3

A loaf of sprouted bread at Trader Joe's (their brand) is under $4, I think. Ezekiel brand is widely available and is under $5, I think. Buying/sprouting/grinding your own flour might be pretty labor intensive. The difference is that it has fewer carbs and more protein (think of sprouts versus plain old bread), and it has…

I try to live as close to it as possible, but sometimes I'm overwhelmed with everything. I usually eat Ezekiel products if I'm eating grains, and always soak my legumes. My cheffie fiance refuses to let me soak on the counter overnight (he's convinced that I'll get food poisoning), but I soak in the fridge with some apple…

What size did you start with? 10/12 What size are you now? 4 Most Current Stats: Hips? 36 (widest area around my booty, otherwise 34) Waist? 27 Thighs? 19-ish Height? 5'4.5 Weight? Around 131. Fluctuate between that and 135. <3

Beautiful!!! Congratulations on all of the hard work paying off <3
