My goal is 150 miles for March and anything over 10K steps daily. The Athens HM race is on the 4th of May. I can choose between the 5K or the Half Marathon, but I find the 13.1 mile distance intimidating. It makes more sense to follow a 5K plan to finish it between 30-35 minutes and try a longer race next fall.

In terms of mileage, February was a good month
-
February goes much better than I expected. I'm going to make my goal today  Also I've moved 265K steps so far, which gives me a chance to better my step total for a month which is 302K
-
Moved over 100 miles so far, averaging about 11K steps a day

After struggling with a virus a couple of weeks ago, I now have a royal cold to sweat off :grumble: :grumble:
-
I left my car for maintenance in the morning, so I walked the 4 miles to the office and another 4 in the afternoon to collect it. A few years ago I'd have taken a cab.

Stupid accident, let's hope it's only a minor injury. It's not your fault though. The guy jinxed you
-
Nothing memorable to report today. I'm sticking to my walking plan, still on track
-
This should make me lime green for today. Just over 1/3 of the way, the month is still young.
-
Aha moment. It occurred to me that since I'm going for 10K steps-a-day - roughly 5 miles - I should reset my goal to 140 miles. Hey, I've got this :glasses:
-
I'm in for 100 miles this month. This should roughly be the equivalent of 10K steps per day. @Dave: I updated myself on the sheet.
-
Hit goal today. I've taken 277K steps in January, still need another 25K to break my personal record for steps taken in a month.

Temperatures on Mercury change from -300F (-180C) before sunrise to over 800F (427C) in the afternoon. Perhaps this relay is a welcome change for New Yorkers but I'll pass   Seriously now, probably the best thing that happened since we turned MYAC into a group is that it eliminated the non-movers…

Haven't updated for a while.

Bump. This is my best month ever in terms of daily steps taken. I've had many months when I moved more miles overall, only this time there's no cycling involved at all
-
Passed the halfway mark a couple of days ahead of schedule
-
I'm in the lime green and over the 10K steps I targeted per day. So far, so good.
-
Janet, if all goes well you'll add another 40 miles and 100K steps by Sunday :noway:
-
@jessica68: Hey I remember you! My spreadsheet says that you clocked 156.98 miles in October, November and December 2012  Good to see you back. The roads were too slippery to ride the bike and I didn't feel like running so I ended up with a 5.5 mile morning walk
-
I think my current mileage is 17/100 but need to cross check when I open my pc in the morning. Anyway I'm glad I dont have to deal with the polar temperatures you guys are facing in the midwest. @jth: Janet I have the impression that the number of new participants will keep decreasing ever since we turned the thread into a…

5.3 miles run this evening, and started logging food after a veeery long time. 2014 is the time to make some progress
-
Going for 100 miles again this month.
-
Came close but didn't make my December goal  Looking back to 2013 my total mileage decreased as I cycled a lot less and gained a few pounds  however I ran and swam further than ever before AND did several strength workouts  so I can safely say that it was a good year overall. Thanks for the motivation…

Okay, I just created a MYAC fitbit group at http://www.fitbit.com/group/223SRT. You are welcome to join. The purpose of the group is to provide some extra motivation to @ss-movers who already use a fitbit device. It doesn't replace anything, it's meant to enhance the myac experience and it's strictly optional
-
Since there are so many of us using fitbits, why don't we start an @ss-mover fitbit group? It shouldn't be that hard and it doesn't take any extra tracking work. What do you think?

Taking it easy this month. Between business trips, a persistent cold and bad weather I'm way behind. Still got a week left to make up some mileage. For now happy holidays everyone :drinker: :drinker:
-
Way behind where I'd like to be, but still moving.
-
Ran 5.3 miles yesterday. I've now completed more than 262 miles of running this year, the equivalent of 10 Marathons :drinker: :drinker:

I like the idea of a home gym, might do the same myself, however I have a couple of questions: Why do you need both a folding bench and a flat one? Can't you have one for both? What are you going to do for cardio?
